This made it easy to find what you are looking for and not having to wander the aisles. They have a nice outdoor furniture section for enjoying the outdoors. We went into Home Depot hoping to sign my husband up for his military discount before purchasing a new ladder. We went to the service desk & were helped by the Service Desk Supervisor Juissa. Within minutes we were all signed up and moving down the aisles to look for ladders!! Juissa's patience and kind manner with us ( 80 and 75yrs--OLD!) made the signup quick and easy. I purchased 3 appliances on July 3 from Windsor Home Depot. Delivery one scheduled 7/11 did not arrive. (Claiming no one was home. That was at 4:43am.) Future deliveries were scheduled for 7/14,17, 18, 21, and today 7/24. Reason given was no one home! All their excuses were lies! I am wondering what kind of company they hire for deliveries?? My tenant took off work 6 times to be here when the orders arrived. She has been without a working refrigerator and stove. Using and ice chest and camp stove isn't acceptable. I have spent hours on the phone on hold with various department heads, all to no avail! How many others have had this problem? I find it totally unacceptable. I purchased an LG Refrigerator and with the Home Depot Allstate Protection Plan for their Extended Warranty. I expended over 5 1/2 months fulfilling all of the requirements for the paid for Refrigerator Repair (by me) and Food Reimbursement compensation. Allstate acknowledged in writing in January 2025 that the claim was vaiid. Allstate proceeded in a "bad faith manner" and through incompetency to delay my reimbursement until I threatened to sue Allstate and Home Depot, Windsor, CA in Small Claims Court, Santa Rosa, CA. Home Depot Business Manager, Jenna Irwin tried her utmost to resolve this matter in my behalf. Yesterday, May 10, 2025 I finally received reimbursement for the repaired LG Refrigerator. I am confident that my horrendous experience is not unique. Still, the Allstate Protection Plan is the endorsed and marketed Extended Warranty Plan sold by Home Depot. But for my Law Degree, 51 years in the Insurance Profession, and tireless effort not to allow this consumer travesty I am certain NO REIMBURSEMENT WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE. I just moved to Windsor and needed some things for my new home. A quick search showed that there was a Home Depot in town and I was excited to have that option so close to my new home. My husband and I went in there for a dowel to secure our front window, some lightbulbs, and perhaps a plant or two to spruce up our front way. We came inside. It was a big store figured out where the lightbulbs were and got those. We went to go search for Adele, and it took us forever to figure out where it was. An older gentleman who we asked, pointed us in the direction and we were looking around that area and couldn't really figure it out. From then on every time we look down an aisle to try to get an sales person's attention if they saw us looking at them, they quickly took off out of the aisle. It was absurd. We never got the dowel. When we pulled in the parking lot, we noticed the garden section over to the right. So, after the dowel fiasco, we traveled in that direction with an inside joke about whether or not we're gonna find somebody to help us over there. We decided to skip the plant section altogether and just bought our lightbulbs and left. I guess that being one of the largest stores in town makes so much money for Home Depot that they don't have to bother helping customers. read more

DO NOT use their window installation services! We had a "professional" from Home Depot come to our house to give us a quote and take measurements for our window project and total disaster! A month later we received windows and we had our own person to install windows and ALL of the window measurements that Home Depot provided were all wrong! We complained to assistant manager Chris and his manager and they both denied ordering us windows at no additional cost. They both tried to tell us the measurements that they took were not final, but yet no where in the quote was there ever a disclaimer saying window measurements were not final.. I don't understand why they keep lying to me when clearly it was home depots fault for taking incorrect measurements! Now we are stuck with $3k windows that don't fit our home. I am seldom impressed by most Home Depot locations for the level of service by the staff on the floor. My experience is usually is being asked, "How's it going?" I'd rather hear "How can I help you?" BUT TODAY'S experience at the Windsor location was the most impressive customer service I've had from any location. Marc M. approached us and very politely asked if we needed help. He assisted us in one department. As we went to the opposite side of the store, we were having more quesions and saw Marc helping another customer. Immediately after finishing with that customer he came to assist us again. He was enthusiastic, informative, and offered solutions to our projects. I hope he's acknowledged by management. PRO "PAIN" Exchange Review This review is about AmeriGas's propane exchange program -- it' NOT about Home Depot per se. It's not just that 20-lb tanks are only being filled to 15 lbs (according to the revised label), but that I was actually short-changed an ADDITIONAL 3 lbs, getting a "full" tank containing only 12 lbs of propane. Service was poor. If you ask for directions to an item they have, be prepared to be misdirected. If you ask for details about an item be prepared to receive no information about the item. If you use self check out be sure the machine prints your receipt or you might find yourself waiting for 30 minutes or more to receive one. There is only one person in the store that can assist you with a reprint for a receipt. The store has a wide variety of hardware & tools. Some items are priced reasonably and others are not. Improvement is needed, employee's need to know where items are located and not give customers false directions, those of us that suffer from handicaps have difficulties walking long distances. Employer's of this establishment should offer better traing for their employee's for knowledge of items sold within their store and item locations. read more

My husband and I went to Windsor Home Depot today to buy garden products like mulch, etc. I also needed a new pot for a plant I already own. The pot I chose was on a shelf with the tag stating it was $12.97. When we got to the check-out, the cashier, Rory, rang it up and I asked how much it was because I wanted to be sure. He told me it was $29.97. I said, well that's a big price difference and that's not what it said on the shelf! He said that he had sold 3 of those pots already today and so he knew for a fact that they were $29.97. So I told him to remove it from the sale because I couldn't afford that and I would pick out a less expensive pot. He said ok he would remove the pot and continued to ring up the other items we were buying. Turns out that he didn't remove it. The only way we caught it was because my husband said the total for everything we bought sounded higher than he'd thought it should. Well, Rory looked at the receipt and the charge for the pot was still on it! Then he told me that I'd have to go inside to the customer service area to have it removed and credited back to my credit card. I was not happy about it because it had been a long day and I asked him if there would be a long line to do that and he said he didn't know. It was obvious by his tone that he didn't care either. It was HIS mistake but I was going to have to pay for it, so you'd think he would've apologized, but he didn't. When I went to the customer return dept., sure enough there was a very long line of customers returning things. After I finally got my receipt adjusted, I left through the garden area because that's where we were parked. I decided to look for the pot to double check the price and I found a bunch of them in a different spot with the tag showing the price of the pot as actually $24.97, not $29.97. So as I passed Rory on the way out to my car, I thought I'd let him know. I said, "F.Y.I., I found a stack of those pots and they're actually $24.97, not $29.97." He said well it's whatever I ring it up to be. I told him that I thought he should apologize because it was his mistake and I had to waste my time standing in a long line to fix his mistake. He looked me right in the eye and said, and I quote, "That's not gonna happen." Wow, not only was his customer service incredibly shitty, this guy was a real ass! Is that really the kind of person that Home Depot wants working in their stores representing them? I was taught to apologize when I make a mistake, especially if it inconveniences the other person. I guess you can't expect that from Home Depot employees. read more

I went into the store today to buy replacement lightbulbs for our driveway lights. Our old ones were a brand Home Depot doesn't carry so I had a picture of the type I needed. As I was unable to find the product, I had an employee call for help. I waited 5-10 minutes. No one came. I spoke with a different employee, they made a call for help. Again, waited the 5-10 minutes. No one came. Neither employee I spoke with offered to help me themselves, either. I left the store without getting what I needed. I drove to a hardware store in town, was greeted as I came in, got help and was out the door in a matter of minutes. read more

Hate to be short about the review, but this location lefts more to be desired after wandering around the store for half an hour looking for supplies and getting sub par direction from the staff. I recently received an email confirming an order my wife and I had previously placed for some artificial grass for our backyard at home that was ready for pick-up at the above referenced store. I made arrangements with our landscaper to meet me at the Windsor store at 10:00 AM (all times listed are pacific time) today, as he has a truck and would be able to transport the material to my home and deliver it accordingly. The email from Home Depot I received indicated to check in at the customer service desk, which I did, and spoke to Lawanda, who was the employee who waited on me. She verified that my order was ready and already paid for and then phoned a member of their staff to arrange to have the merchandise brought to the loading area so we could have it loaded into my landscaper's truck. After approximately 20 minutes of waiting, I checked back with employee Lawanda and she apologized for the delay and said she would phone for assistance again. A few minutes later, she said I could go back to the loading area and that someone would be with me shortly. I went back to the loading area and waited patiently. After approximately 15-20 minutes of waiting, I re-contacted Lawanda at the customer service desk and told her that no one had responded to the loading area to assist us. In the meantime, my landscaper had also contacted another member of the staff there and explained the situation to that person but yet received no assistance. I went back and spoke to Lawanda again and asked her if anyone was going to bring my artificial grass to the loading area and she again apologized for the delay in my receiving no further assistance. She made a phone call to request help for my inquiry and then told me that to move the merchandise, it would require a forklift and they only had two forklift operators working at the moment and they would have to wait for one to become available. I told Lawanda that I would go back to the loading area and wait again and she told me it should hopefully not be much longer. At approximately 11:25 AM, no member of the staff had arrived to assist me so I went back to the customer service desk and spoke to Lawanda yet again to ask her what the status of my artificial grass was and she made another call to a member of staff and was told that apparently the artificial grass I was waiting to pick up was tangled with one of their light fixtures at the top of one of their storage displays and there were employees attempting to get the problem resolved. I told Lawanda that I would have to leave, as my landscaper was being delayed unnecessarily because of the staff's inability to bring my purchase to the loading area and this process had now taken an hour and a half of both my time and my landscaper's time, of which now I would be paying for out of my own pocket. I would also now have to make arrangements to come back at a later date to pick up this merchandise which I should have easily been able to pick up today. My landscaper had other projects going on today so I told him to go ahead and leave so I wasn't causing him further unnecessary delay. I left my name and telephone number with Lawanda and asked her to have someone call me if or when they were able to prepare my artificial grass for pick-up. I then thanked her for her time and help and left the store along with my landscaper so he could get on with his day. At approximately 11:50 AM, I received a telephone call from Lawanda at the Home Depot store in Windsor and she said the staff were able to get the artificial grass I had purchased prepared for pick-up and were going to send it to the loading area. By that time, I had left the store. I explained to her that I would like her to note that I waited for approximately 90 minutes along with my landscaper and although she was very helpful, the level of customer service during this experience today was very poor. No one, with the exception of Lawanda, expressed any sense of urgency to help me. I am generally not one to complain much, but I have to say this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in that store. I have experienced other challenges in this store with difficulties in trying to locate a member of staff to help with questions I might have or trying to locate a certain product or simply trying to return merchandise I may not have necessarily needed, and I haven't said anything about it, but today was just awful. I can certainly understand that many organizations today are experiencing understaffing due to a variety of reasons, but I would like to see communication with your staff in this store improve and perhaps see a little more diligence demonstrated by your team in helping your customers. Going forward, I may be inclined to look elsewhere when shopping for my home improvement needs. read more

This store has the worst customer service. I ordered a stove that was on sale 4 weeks ago. They were scheduled to deliver it 3 weeks ago. The driver called me and said they could not find the house. Turns out the associate that took my order put in the wrong city. We then corrected the address and scheduled the delivery for the following day. That delivery date goes by and nothing comes. They apologize and reschedule for Friday. Not a word on friday, so I call the store and they said it was not scheduled to send because the address was never updated. I then talked to Yovana for an hour trying to get this rescheduled with no luck. After 3 hours I get a call back from the manager Mike who tells me the order will go out next week. I just needed to call Monday and give a date and time that worked. It is now Monday and I called the store and had to do the same run around for the last 1.5hours since nobody working today was aware of the issue. They finally transfer me to Mark Miller, who is apparently the manager who I then repeat the whole issue to. He is now telling me they cannot deliver to my house and that I need to cancel the order and place it online, however they cannot honor the sale price from when I purchased the item in the store. ($400 savings) I ordered a patio set and fire pit a few weeks ago and they delivered it with no issue. 1 star, i would do 0 if I could. The in-store associates were not friendly or helpful (perhaps not even literate since she failed to copy the address from my driver's license to my order) . The post-purchase customer service has been terrible. Extremely long wait times on the phone. I would avoid shopping here and try and support, lowes, Ace, or any other location. This stove is for an AirBNB lakehouse which is rented every week and now has no stove. The associate helped me find the best stove that would fit that we could have in the shortest amount of time. We chose the specific stove because it could be delivered in 3 days. Here we are 4 weeks later with nothing but a headache. Because I am now leaving town, I have to pay my cleaning company an extra 200 bucks to sit around and wait for a delivery and I had to cancel my bookings for this week since people obviously need a stove ($3,200 of weekly bookings that had to be refunded) read more

Absolute shit show, I ordered 70 pieces of tile at the Rohnert Park Home Depot. I was told I could pick it up at the Windsor Home Depot the next day. when I showed up they handed me a bucket of about 40 or so tiles, half of which were broken. Now I'm told that the product is discontinued and they cannot order anymore. I am currently on hold ( no better time than the present to do a review) with Home Depot getting a new install date for a dishwasher that was originally scheduled for delivery on June 23rd, here we are the first week of August and every week they attempted to delivery the dishwasher, yet could never get their act together. The first time they attempted delivery they said they needed a smaller truck as branches were hanging too low. So by the 6th delivery attempt they somehow managed to read the notes to bring the dishwasher in a small truck, well surprise, surprise... it was scratched and dented from going on and off trucks every week for 5 weeks. Home Depot reordered the dishwasher and it was supposed to be delivered on a small truck yesterday... yep, you got it... they didn't bring it in a small truck yet again. The Windsor Ca store has ZERO cashiers. Customers are supposed to do that themselves at DIY kiosks. Fun doing THAT with a cart full of oddball hardware, eh?? But that's the only way offered so we tried. Problem came when I tried to use a 10% off coupon HD had mailed me. The kiosk had no instructions for that. So we asked the HD person who was "watching" over these kiosks for help. She scanned the coupon and proclaimed that the discount had been taken into account in the total, although no such detail was shown on the printed receipt. Well, when I got home, I looked up the prices and found that no 10% discount had been given. I called the store today and they told me I had to come back to the store to cancel and re-enter the transaction. That store is 50 miles away! "Sorry, can't help you!" was their clueless answer. Went into store twice to order bathroom cabinets. I made an appointment with Kathy both times. She helped me place my order online. I was given the wrong information on delivery. They only do curb side drop off only and didn't notify that the 60 inch vanity with marble top was going to arrive a week earlier. I was home alone and no way to bring it up my stairs. I had to decline the drop off and call customer service, Christine Taylor- (customer order specialist) was absolutely no help whatsoever.... very dissatisfied.
