Had an amazing experience at honor bar. The service was impeccable. It took a while to get service; however, once someone took my order everything was really efficient. My drinks and order came out swiftly and my burger was cooked perfectly. I rarely order medium rare burgers but I heard the quality was amazing here and it really was. The taste was really unique. The only downside is it kinda falls apart on you and you have to use a fork and knife. Very classic ambiance.

Have yet to step foot into this restaurant, always order to go but have ordered their chicken sandwich at least 20+ times now, it is by far the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life

The food is pretty good but I wouldn't say it's mind blowing. The vibes are good but the wait is insanely long (1.5-2 hours on a Wednesday). Service is pretty good too - attentive servers that are nice.

Finally made it to the Honor Bar and it was mid-afternoon so able to grab a booth. Fun, cool atmosphere. Food was on-point. Great versions of a chicken fried sandwich with fries and their addictive season salt. Deviled eggs were good but not the best I've ever had (Yardbird's). Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Can't wait to go back to try the famous burger and a sushi or two.

The best burger. I've heard lots about this burger & im rlly glad u tried it. "The Honor Burger" features a number of unique toppings & flavors including barbecue & a cole slaw. It is very filling so come when you're hungry. The french fries are so crispy & delicious. They come with a side of spicy mayo & ketchup. They taste like McDonalds fries but more fresh & crispy. I'd come back for sure.

Great vibes and service. Definitely a good collection of bottles and the bartender I had was amazing! She was knowledgeable and able to make exactly what I want! Definitely recommend!

Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had! One of my favorites in LA. The service was pretty good took care of us pretty well. It's definitely cool vibes here on the other side is a whole restaurant. On the honor bar side it's a pretty decent sized bar where they make some good cocktails!

Decided to come here to have solo birthday dinner last minute, I walked-in Ordered crispy chicken sandwich (10/10): Portion is generous, not your basic bar food quality. Chicken is crispy, juicy and fresh. Everything is well-balanced. Bartender Ben made me a gin cocktail with St Germain, drinks are nice, not watered down Service is really nice and warmth, great hospitality. Didn't need to wait for a long time, got seated fast. Would definitely come back again!

I will dine at a Hillstone establishment any day :) The Honor Bar is a quick way to grab a bite of some of Hillstone's staples. Love that if you don't want anything too heavy they also offer sushi. Great spot to meet up with a friend for a quick catch up! Service is always great.

I have no complaints! I stopped by after work and had a glass of wine and the chicken sandwich. You're probably thinking "chicken sandwich?" But trust me it's delicious!!! Bread is buttered, chicken crispy, great portion, and perfect balance of savory and fresh. I sat at the bar and they constantly checked to see if I was good or needed anything. This little place does get packed so be prepared for a slight wait if you don't have a reservation. I was by myself and got seated fairly quickly.

I've been waiting YEARS to try the famous chicken sandwich at Honor Bar..and let me tell you, it was worth every second of the wait. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The service here is top-notch--friendly, efficient, and attentive. A quick heads-up: they don't take reservations, but if you call the number listed on Yelp, they'll reserve a table at their sister restaurant next door. Just know that it has a different menu (but still a great vibe). We also tried a few sushi rolls and were pleasantly surprised by how good they were. My favorite was the pressed tuna roll...super fresh and packed with flavor.

Recently came here on a Friday afternoon around 130pm and it was packed with families and people on their lunch breaks. We had about a 20 minute wait which wasn't bad. They have seats outside and it was a nice day so we hung out and people watched. We sat at the bar and were instantly greeted by the bartender and had great service. She was super familiar with the menu, which is limited as it's a mini more casual version of South Beverly next door. We got the crispy chicken sandwich which comes cut into three pieces and the Thai tuna roll and the Osaka roll. All of the food was exceptional and the rolls are very filling.

Is your food the same as the Beverly Grill, particularly the hamburger?

I think the burger is available in both places but Honor Bar has very limited menu, S.B.G. has a full menu

    Do you take dinner reservations?

South Beverly Grill does next door but Honor Bar I believe you have to check in with hostess to get on waiting list.

Is the bread for sandwiches made in house? If not, what brand is it?

Hi Jon, we bake all of our own bread at the restaurant.

    Do you allow dogs?

No, I don't believe they do.

    Do you have Happy Hour?

    NO THEY DO NOT

    Do you have outdoor dining?

No, only indoor seating. The only time they had outdoor seating was during the pandemic.

Whats the biggest party that can be seated at a table?

Pre covid I believe It was 5. Since covid I haven't been there so I don't really know. I would think the same though.

Can I order takeout without going through chow now? It's really annoying.

Yes! We are so sorry ChowNow hasn't gone smoothly for you...you are welcome to call us anytime to place an order. We really appreciate it!

How are they operating during COVID?

    Terrific

    Is the veggie burger vegan?

Don't think the bun is vegan.

Why don't you have French fries for take out during pandemic?

I know! I called them and asked and they simply said we're not serving French fries

Do they take reservations for lunch?

Hi Eric, we do not take reservations at the Honor Bar.

Do you offer happy hour food/drinks specials?

Hi Danielle, we do not offer any happy hour or specials at this time.

Do you show WWE or other pro-wrestling?

Every Monday night for RAW and on Sundays it's SMACKDOWN. You'll catch me there BOTH nights.

    Can you smoke cigars here?

Hi Michael, we don't have an area that allows for cigar smoking at this time.

I emailed the bar to make a reservation since the online system was down, and they emailed back immediately to confirm -- and even said they would surprise my mom with an extra birthday cake! Now all I had to do was wait 3 weeks until her visit so the experience could finally happen. The day arrived and I got my mom to Maybourne Bar with her none the wiser. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was a 1 million out of 10. Every course is unbelievable. This is a caviar tasting in the best way -- all nine courses are topped with generous helpings of delicious N25 caviar. You get sweet, salty, savory, comfort food, upscale dining, everything comes together in the absolute best way. I especially loved the deconstructed deviled egg and the lobster roll, and the ice cream was some of the best I've ever had. The chips and dip came with the cutest miniature potato chips (although I'll admit I could have used a few more), and the caviar salmon burger was super flavorful. And, true to their word, they surprised my mom with a birthday cake -- and then surprised us both with complimentary lychee cocktails! The service was impeccable as well. Each person on the waitstaff was kind, helpful, and accommodating. We loved how descriptive they were of each dish. It was also really nice of them to decide to give us an extra 2-top so we would have room for all of the courses. This is not only an incredible tasting menu, but made even more incredible by the price. 10 courses and a glass of champagne are $85. I was honestly shocked at how much we received for under $100. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. This is a true gem in Beverly Hills. I'm already planning my next visit!

We ended up at the Maybourne Bar in the Maybourne hotel, a solid B+ lobby bar that I'd visit again under similar circumstances. The space was attractive but the vibe was strange, if not uncomfortable. Just weirdly bright lighting and a different crowd from the usual L.A. bar scene (hotel, Beverly Hills). It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. You can get food, too, though most of it seems to involve caviar.

After being seated, we waited nearly 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. Not even exaggerating on the wait time. When I ordered a Twist cocktail and asked if it could be made with tequila instead, our server said he would check with the bartender. He later returned and tol us it wasn't possible, so my friend ordered a different drink instead. What was frustrating is that he never mentioned happy hour had ended while we were waiting for him to come back. We were then charged $10 for the original drink we never received, and the replacement drink was charged at full price because happy hour had expired. That didn't feel fair since the delay was entirely on the server's end. To make matters worse, a 20% service charge was already added to the bill, yet the service was some of the worst we've experienced. Between the long wait, poor communication, and incorrect charges, the experience didn't match the reputation or prices of this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it based on the service alone. I really gotta respect their dedication to red meat and the holy art of cooking a damn good steak. This place is essentially what I'm looking for in a restaurant. Basically hits on all cylinders and checks off all the critical boxes. I don't want to sound all dramatic and such, but I'm dying to go back and try all the other items I didn't have, as well as check out the bar experience. I spoke to some locals outside before they opened, and they weren't just lovely -- they also painted a pretty picture of what the overall vibe is here. It's clear a lot of people in the Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills area love coming here very frequently. Our server, who I assumed is named Nolan because that's what's shown on the receipt, was very accommodating, kind, and easy to talk to. I think he did a fantastic job dealing with my difficult, picky gf. Haha. I can't say anything was less than stellar. The croquettes in that celery purée stuff were phenomenal. Garlic bread was seasoned and baked to perfection. The bone broth sipper was nourishing af. French fries were perhaps the best I've had in years. Broccolini was fresh, high quality, and complimented the steak very well. I'm bummed we only got to try just the ribeye when it came to the cuts, but my gf did not want to order anything under medium or medium rare that night, so that was a bummer. It's her loss! The panna cotta was the creamiest sweet treat in all of LaLa Land. This is a great place, and it's a top-tier steakhouse. SoCal sometimes lacks places of this caliber that NY, Chicago, and SF / Napa have, but this place is a very close contender to some of the top cream-of-the-crop, steak-centered restaurants in the country. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Unfortunately, our initial table was extremely close to a very loud neighboring party, making conversation difficult. To the restaurant's credit, the staff accommodated our request to move, and the new table significantly improved the experience. The food was excellent. We ordered the Dinner for Two, and every component was well executed and enjoyable. The quality of the beef was evident, and it was clear why MATŪ has built such a strong reputation. The cocktails were also well made. Where the experience began to unravel was the service. Wine service took roughly 20 minutes, dessert was noticeably delayed, and our server seemed to disappear for extended periods throughout the evening. The most frustrating part came at the end of the meal when it took more than 25 minutes to receive the check. When it finally arrived, it was delivered by a manager in a manner that felt dismissive rather than hospitable. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity had already been added to the bill. While I understand the practice in some situations, it felt particularly disappointing given the level of service we received throughout the evening. MATŪ serves outstanding food, and that is what earns this review more than a few stars. However, hospitality is about more than what comes out of the kitchen. For a restaurant operating at this price point, the service should match the quality of the food. Unfortunately, on this visit, it did not. I left impressed by the meal but disappointed by the overall dining experience, and I'm not sure I would return.
