Got a reservation for this place for our last dinner in LA. Had to wait a bit after we checked in as it was quite busy even though it was an early dinner time. After being seated, the lady for our table was super friendly with great energy all while being helpful. We ordered several different plates and everything was really good. We ended up order their dessert (sundae) and enjoyed that as well. Intimate spot that would be great for dates but groups as well. It was a great way to wrap up our trip - recommended!

One of my favorite restaurants that I always choose for special occasions. I never disappoint with their baby pork ribs every time I visit. The service here is incredible, and one thing I particularly love is that if you order cocktails served in martini glasses, they keep an eye on your drink and replace the cooling glass with a fresh one halfway through. That's amazing! But overall, the service is exceptional, and you'll love it here.

10/10 lunch experience. The steak was cooked to perfection, paired with their classic crispy french fries & spicy mayo sauce to go on the side. I really love when restaurants have a signature custom or theme so the spicy mayo always makes me happy. The spinach artichoke dip with chips is delicious. It comes out really hot & fresh so careful not to burn your mouth. Unlike majority of spinach artichoke dips I have tried, this one is more on the wet side as opposed to the cream-cheese texture. I loved it. The restaurant setting is classy with a dimly lit room & relaxing music. The patrons of this restaurant seem to all be respectful people which contributes to the overall vibe. Would def come back.

I'm a big Houston's fan, so when my girlfriend took me here for a weekday lunch I was thrilled. Ambiance very sleek, modern and dark just like Houston's. The menu is very similar as well, offering up some of the same dishes as well as some that are exclusive to this restaurant. Hiramasa Roll (best sushi roll imo) 10/10 Crab Cake 9/10 (you get tons of crap. I just wish there was a little more to it. A little more seasoning or a kick) Spicy Margarita 10/10 (perfection!) I tried one other role that I can't remember the name of, and it was really good as well. You can't go wrong with their Sushi!

Solid as always on every level; food, service, ambiance. Can't be better. Stepped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday for a drink, sushi, and fries. Best combination.

Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars needs to do some soul-searching... This place and all the restaurants under the Hillstone Group are simply the best. There's nothing like sitting at the bar, enjoying a great IPA, and having a world class cheeseburger. Absolutely one of my all time favorites.

Stopped in myself on a Saturday night and was able to get a spot at the bar. Did not wait long. Robert took great care of me. Started with some of the best sushi- my favorite Osaka style pressed sushi. The knife and fork ribs always go fast, so I ordered that with a side salad and their famous slaw instead of fries- delicious- did not disappoint. My neighbors at the bar were curious how I was putting this meal away by myself- it was so good. Speaking of the bar, I could not help but notice how well put together and inviting this place was. The staff kept food and drinks coming and did not miss a beat. Got a hot towel to clean my hands of bbq sauce and then it was a double espresso and a slice of key lime pie to end things wonderfully. Had a great time and will be back soon.

This fine dining restaurant is a sister restaurant to the Houston's and Hillstones family, with the name change due to being located in Beverly Hills. We arrived at 8:45 for a highly anticipated dinner with our Son, Jesse and were certainly not disappointed... Here goes: Valet parking... great Entered a very busy foyer, gave our name and was immediately greeted and seated at our reserved table... nice again! Upon sitting, our server, Felicia, came right over. While pouring chilled water she inquired if we'd like anything from the bar? Of course! A nice Cabernet for the lady and the boys were ordering an Old Fashioned and a Negroni. A wide variety of choices for starters and mains. The group of restaurants are infamous for their BBQ "fall off the bone" ribs. Feeling like something different, how about their Dover Sole, flown in daily from Dover, across the pond!!! Their salads are as beautiful as they are epic. Mom and Son ordered the chopped salad with shaved chicken and a to die for peanut sauce dressing... We ordered another fan favorite, their homemade guacamole dip, with warm pita chips. Incredible. We all got the baby back ribs, and, they were awesome and 1 full rack, fries and coleslaw for $45. We had plenty to take home for lunch today. Can't wait to!! Of course, too full for three desserts, so three forks and their own cake . Delightful presentation and tasty We're here in Beverly Hills for a few more days and I can guarantee that we'll be back before we leave... Mark this as a MUST GO... when you're in the area... Bon Appetite!!!

South Beverly Grill, part of the Hillstone chain, and formerly known as Houston's before being rebranded in name only (the decor and menu are the same as always) is the kind of place that pretends to be much more than it is. Dark woods and muted lighting, white linen napkins, weighty utensils, and sharply dressed servers are deployed to make you sort of forget that the menu is built around burgers, French dip sandwiches, spinach dip and baby back ribs. All of it tastes good, is fresh and well-prepared, but it's the same food they were serving 20+ years ago, at vastly elevated prices; with so many other interesting restaurants around town, dinner here feels a bit like a consolation prize. But my wife loves their burgers, so here we were, waiting for seats at the bar because the walk-in wait for a table was over 2 hours (people do love this place). I ordered a martini, which was very nicely made with a generous pour and fresh, good tasting olives. When were were eventually seated, we ordered the Spinach Dip (which I forgot to photograph) and a burger, which we shared. Burger was tasty, but now comes with more accoutrements, possibly to keep the overall size similar while reducing the weight of the burger itself. Nonetheless, it was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great for what it was: a burger far less creative and satisfying than dozens of others around town (the burger at The Benjamin being a prime example). Fries on the side were thin, crispy and nicely salted. Service was friendly and attentive, and the meal was perfectly fine, if mostly unmemorable.

I always enjoy a lunch or dinner at South Beverly Grill. This spot is quite popular, and food is extremely consistent and the service is always excellent. Huge menu with many Asian options, salads, and American classics. Deviled Eggs - 3 1/2 stars. Quite good, but would be accented perfectly with a little bacon. Thai Tuna Roll - 4 1/2 Stars. I was quite skeptical of this roll and loved it. The texture worked great, and the flavor was delicious. Grilled Chicken Salad - 4 stars. An Asian forward salad with peanut dressing, veggies, and delicious chicken. A perfect lunch salad. You can't go wrong here and will always find something you like with a classic and swanky ambiance. Parking is usually rough, give yourself extra time to valet or self park.

Soooo good omg. We had a reservation cuz it's impossible to get a table. The sushi was so fresh!! We also got the artichoke tip that comes with sour cream and salsa, so so good. Madison was our server, such a nice girl!!

I love the trifecta restaurants! Honor bar, Hillstone, and this! I've been to honor bar and Hillstone already and now it was time to check this place off. The Caesar came unchopped which I was surprised about I prefer the chopped version of it. The spinach artichoke dip is my favorite menu item it always hits and it's a must order. The crunchy shrimp roll is so good and the portion is big. The French dip lacked a little flavor compared to the one I had at Hillstone but still good! The burger was good too just kind of hard to eat because of how tall it is. My paper plane was made well. Service was good we were seated very quickly. I like the dim atmosphere. Would come back when craving!

I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The mac and cheese was SO good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Creamy, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

We sat in the lounge area and it was perfect. Got the ham appetizer, the burger, fries, and the raspberry sorbet dessert. Everything was incredible, one of the best burgers I've had in Los Angeles. Service was also great. I even called about an hour after I got home because I started getting a scratchy throat and realized I didn't specifically ask if there were strawberries in the raspberry sorbet (I'm allergic and that was completely my mistake for not double checking before I chowed down) but the host that answered was super nice, I could hear in the background her double checking with a server, who then even double checked with the kitchen to make sure they were giving me the correct answer which I really really appreciate. We ordered a bunch of cocktails along with a few glasses of red wine and champagne. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. We tried the Blackberry, Cucumber, Snow Pea, Tomato, and Daikon. The Tomato cocktail was my favorite by far -- savory, balanced, and not overly sweet. Blackberry was a close second, really refreshing and easy to drink. My first glass of champagne was unfortunately flat and pretty gross but to their credit they replaced it immediately once I mentioned it. Still, for an upscale restaurant, that was a little annoying to begin with. For food, we got the asparagus, burger, fries, abalone, and the bluefin tuna belly deviled eggs. The abalone was easily the standout dish of the night. Everything else ranged from just okay to forgettable. The burger sucked. Overall, I'd come back for drinks and would give the food another shot since the menu changes pretty frequently but this particular meal didn't totally hit for me.

Nick, the manager, was SUPER cool, and our server, Ariana (I hope I got her name right!), was an absolute doll and the definition of professionalism. I decided to try something different from the menu this time, and let me tell you, by the time I said, "Take a picture..." my food was gone! That's how good it was. My mother and I both had the Turkey Reuben -- hers with fries and mine with the apple kale salad. My mom even mentioned to Nick that the sweet potato fries should definitely be added to the menu! My dad ordered breakfast and wanted sausage... no sausage... BACON ONLY! Work on that, The Henry! Thanks to Larissa, we decided to give The Henry another try, and I'm so glad we did. The service, the atmosphere (the music and sunshine were perfect), and the food were all ooooooon point! Sometimes you've got to give people the opportunity to make amends by showing a little grace, and I'm happy we did. This visit completely changed our perspective. We'll definitely be back... promise!

Two days ago Los Angeles Magazine published the following article by Leo Li:…read morehttps://share.google/HxL9oDf3vhjQAtjRF "Where to Watch the World Cup in Los Angeles," looking through it I found The Henry; a place in my neighborhood. The write-up on The Henry makes it sound like a fun place to watch a game after work. I called in advance to make sure that the information in the write up was accurate. I was told that they expected heavy traffic for the game and dinner service. I inquired about a reservation near the bar with a view of the game. I was informed that the "high top" tables near the screens were already booked but that I was welcomed to sit at the bar as available. Up to that point I hadn't heard anything that I wasn't prepared to hear particularly on a Friday during the World Cup so I took a chance had went there with a friend hoping to have a great time. We arrived shortly before 5pm to enjoy a bit of the happy hour menu before dinner. We were greeted and offered a table by the bar near the screens with the condition that we needed to be done by 6:30. Well that wasn't going to work because the game started at 6pm. We sat ourselves at the end of the bar about 20 feet from the two tv screens...perfect! The good: the space is beautiful. Warm pretzel bites with fondue were amazing. The garlic fries were crispy. The Sangria was delicious. The bad: bar service was minimal despite a sparse crowd at the bar. I had to reach across the bar counter to grab myself drink coasters for my Sangria, beer, water and my friend's beverage because the condensation kept dripping on my clothes. The bar tender never bothered to come back and check how my cocktail was as most bar tenders do. The fact that there were three makes it more astounding. The really bad: there was a power outage in the restaurant (not the entire block) 5 minutes before kickoff. 10-15 minutes into the game the power came back on but only one tv was functional. Early on there was a bit of a rush to rectify the matter but as time went on, it seemed to become a non-issue despite concern from those around the bar that we couldn't watch the game. No apologies were offered by management at the time. Not even water was offered a jester of good faith while they sorted out the issue. Like a few others, we decided to cut our losses and left at half time. The buzz at the bar was to meet at Lucky Strikes to finish watching the game. Prior to leaving I approached a woman who seemed concerned with the tv malfunction and asked if she was part of the management. She responded that she was and I proceeded to explain my utter disappointment in the experience. She looked profoundly distraught with my observations...At least that's what I told myself in order to not feel like this had been a complete waste of time. We left without having dinner while watching the game. What a shame because the menu sounded appealing. Oh, BTW the high top table in front of the tv was still vacant by the time we left at half time. Not sure it would've mattered because the tv was malfunctioning anyway. I am truly puzzled by what made the author of the article think that The Henry would be a great place to catch a game of any sort. Our server, the space, decor, location and menu items we tried were amazing. The overall attention to detail, attentiveness to customers and overall experience was not one that I would recommend on a Friday night during the World Cup. CLEARLY, the author missed his mark on this one. Oddly enough, we ran into four others from The Henry at Lucky Strikes. No electricity/media issues there.

Service was slow, they assumed we wanted everything at once, and some of the food was subpar and definitely not on point. Because we asked for our "breads" after 30 minutes just to get started, they though we suddenly wanted everything (our breads being scones and a cinnamon roll). We should have stated or they should have asked, would you like us to bring everything out at once or the small plates first. First miss. Eggs Benedict was bland, under seasoned, and english muffins like two plastic frisbees. Second miss. Slow service and attitude of server not the friendliest, third miss. Table service was slow/inattentive. We had to ask for silverware on more than one occasion.
