Beautiful establishment. Came for dinner. Was greated by a lovely young lady and she escorted us up the elevator to the top floor. We were quickly seated into a quaint and cozy corner table. The waitress lit up the little lamp in the center of the table. That adds a bit of ambiance. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with her suggestions. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Very delish. Their house red wine was very enjoyable. We look forward to trying other options on the menu in the future. Gorgeous Hotel.

    Grouper with crabmeat.

We did not stay at the hotel, but we did have dinner at the restaurant. The owner of the hotel met us at the front door and took us on a little tour of the home. The home is spectacular. The chandeliers, the woodworking, and the furnishings were all unbelievable. We were seated in the downstairs dining room and were fortunate enough to have Sarah as our server. What a delight she was. I had the fillet and my wife had the grouper with crab meat and both were outstanding. I recommend that you save room for the beignets stuffed with apple and peach. What a way to end a fantastic meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. We will definitely be back back soon.

I walked in the hotel entrance only to be warmly greeted and escorted to the bar where I planned to dine alone. Had wonderful service, friendly staff and even met the owner Diane! (Friend if a friend) I enjoyed my meal and met one of the musicians that would be playing that night in the adjoining room. Surprising to find out after I arrived and was introduced to by a server who happened to be kin to the owner. (I think that is correct) as I finished up- I got to take my leftovers home and walked over to enjoy the band and watch the others dance the night away! If you have the opportunity, I would HIGHLY recommend the drive! I did not brag on the food! Holy cow! The bread was served warm and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside- absolutely divine! The steak you ask? I have honestly told so many others- I do believe this was the best steak I have ever had! Not only recommend- but HIGHLY recommend!

The Hotel Magnolia Restaurant, located inside the historic Hotel Magnolia in Foley, is a lovely dining destination that combines the elegance of the past with the flavors of the present. The hotel, which opened its doors in 1908, has a rich history and has been meticulously restored to preserve its original charm and character. It was my first time here since their opening which replaced Oui Oui Paris and I was very impressed with the experience. The atmosphere here is sophisticated and welcoming, featuring lovely appointed dining rooms with an ambiance of a bygone era. The decor, complete with antique furnishings and Southern-inspired accents, creates a warm and inviting setting that is still casual but I suppose dressing up is always an option too. The cuisine at The Hotel Magnolia Restaurant showcases some of the best of Southern fare with a modern twist. The restaurant's menu offers a variety of dishes that highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients and traditional flavors. Some of their popular dishes include: * Shrimp and Grits: A Southern classic featuring fresh Gulf shrimp and stone-ground grits * Fried Green Tomatoes: Crispy fried green tomatoes topped with remoulade sauce * Chicken and Dumplings: A hearty dish with tender chicken and homemade dumplings * Pecan Pie: A decadent Southern dessert with a flaky crust and a sweet, nutty filling Their menu varies on a daily basis and source driven with some recurring dishes. I got a chance to sample all the food that came out on my first visit. We started out with a generous portion of fried mushrooms that were delicious, some of the best I've had. I shared two entrees with my honey, the Reuben with steak fries and the Blackened Creole Steak Bowtie Pasta. The Rueben was top notch and that pasta was very nicely prepared and seasoned with fresh herbs that was outstanding. I tried some of the whole fish, catfish filet, several sides and everything was very well done. Our server Matt took great care of us and everything came out hot, fresh, and timely. The Hotel Magnolia Restaurant is open for lunch, and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday 11-3 & 4-9 Their website features their full menu and online reservation system: https://www.thehotelmagnolia.com/, which also In addition to their official website, plus check out their active Facebook page,: https://www.facebook.com/thehotelmagnolia/, with updates on special events, promotions, and new menu items. The Hotel Magnolia Restaurant also offers catering services and event hosting, that's a unique venue for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions. Bottom line: The Hotel Magnolia Restaurant in is indeed a hidden gem that offers a unique and delightful fusion of Southern cuisine and historic charm for a memorable meal whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, or casual lunch with friends. Highly recommended!!!

Bless my heart. No, bless my tummy! #blessmyheartnoblessmytummy. Perfect southern charm is all I can say about this lovely place. The catfish were crisp and extra sauce was not required. The creamed spinach and new potatoes were perfect. Lynn was our server and he was graciously slow and accommodating. This place for a quiet evening with friends and family. Oh. I did check in he facilities and they were perfect

Hominy, hush puppies, cornbread, grits, Alabama white sauce on any meat, especially smoked chicken, are all popular in Alabama. BBQ is practically a religion in the South! As former certified Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) certified judges, my husband and I completed the training and paid the fees to be certified. The "KCBS way" is different from a lot of people's preferences in that, for example, a BBQ rib should actually have some "pull" to it, meaning, when you bite into it, your mouth should leave a mark in the rib. This means "fall off the bones" ribs are not KDBS quality, despite how many love that rib consistency. The KCBS judges slots fill up so quickly and required us to travel at our own cost and we did not judge any KCBS events. Back to Southern food. Deep fried double Oreos are one of the many fried foods here in Huntsville, and Melt restaurant features them on their menu. Meat-and-Three restaurants feature a meat (usually fried pork chop, meatloaf, BBQ, fried catfish, country fried steak/chicken) and three sides (fried okra, creamed corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked potato, potato salad, cole slaw, French fries) and bread options such as cornbread, rolls, hush puppies. While Southern Cooking is absolutely delicious, I have to limit it because lets face it, it is high in calories and cholesterol. When I do indulge, it's shrimp and grits, pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes, and fried whole okra.

Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

I tried the fried okra and really enjoyed it. There were several other options being passed around as well, so you definitely won't leave hungry. For my meal, I had the chicken wings and was very pleased. Other family members tried the country-fried steak and shrimp, and everyone seemed happy with their food. The portions are generous, and even the drink cups are GINORMOUS! Service was good and timely, especially considering how busy and lively the restaurant was. It's very family and kid friendly, and you can tell Lambert's has been around for a long time and has become an experience in itself. My biggest recommendation: make a reservation, especially if you're coming with a large group. Without one, you could easily be looking at a 45-minute wait or longer. Overall, I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to experience Lambert's. Good food, good service, a fun atmosphere, and catching a hot roll flying across the restaurant makes for a pretty memorable meal! Definitely worth experiencing at least once.
