Beautiful establishment. Came for dinner. Was greated by a lovely young lady and she escorted us up the elevator to the top floor. We were quickly seated into a quaint and cozy corner table. The waitress lit up the little lamp in the center of the table. That adds a bit of ambiance. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with her suggestions. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Very delish. Their house red wine was very enjoyable. We look forward to trying other options on the menu in the future. Gorgeous Hotel.

We did not stay at the hotel, but we did have dinner at the restaurant. The owner of the hotel met us at the front door and took us on a little tour of the home. The home is spectacular. The chandeliers, the woodworking, and the furnishings were all unbelievable. We were seated in the downstairs dining room and were fortunate enough to have Sarah as our server. What a delight she was. I had the fillet and my wife had the grouper with crab meat and both were outstanding. I recommend that you save room for the beignets stuffed with apple and peach. What a way to end a fantastic meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. We will definitely be back back soon.

I walked in the hotel entrance only to be warmly greeted and escorted to the bar where I planned to dine alone. Had wonderful service, friendly staff and even met the owner Diane! (Friend if a friend) I enjoyed my meal and met one of the musicians that would be playing that night in the adjoining room. Surprising to find out after I arrived and was introduced to by a server who happened to be kin to the owner. (I think that is correct) as I finished up- I got to take my leftovers home and walked over to enjoy the band and watch the others dance the night away! If you have the opportunity, I would HIGHLY recommend the drive! I did not brag on the food! Holy cow! The bread was served warm and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside- absolutely divine! The steak you ask? I have honestly told so many others- I do believe this was the best steak I have ever had! Not only recommend- but HIGHLY recommend!

Bless my heart. No, bless my tummy! #blessmyheartnoblessmytummy. Perfect southern charm is all I can say about this lovely place. The catfish were crisp and extra sauce was not required. The creamed spinach and new potatoes were perfect. Lynn was our server and he was graciously slow and accommodating. This place for a quiet evening with friends and family. Oh. I did check in he facilities and they were perfect

Kind owners. We have stayed here multiple times over the years. Not many gluten free options despite marked for a gluten free restaurant.

Be careful. This place has bed bugs. I heard they have a poor health department score too.

We stayed upstairs in the Sunset suite. We had a sitting room, a lovely bedroom, with more seating, and a second bedroom with more seating, and a deck. From the deck, we could see the bay and the lovely garden which we could access from our own staircase. Our suite was so comfortable that we did not spend time in the lovely living room and parlor. The house has really beautiful furniture but the overriding feeling is one of welcome and comfort. Becky made a wonderful southern breakfast and Bill, her lovely husband even joined us. We were made to feel so comfortable as if we were a part of the family but we weren't allowed to do any dishes! There are a lot of choices out there for places to stay, but if you are interested in staying in a beautiful, peaceful, one of a kind place, you will not be disappointed with Bay Breeze B&B.

My hubby and I were doing an impromptu road trip to Alabama - and specifically Fairhope after a local Louisiana gentleman suggested the town - and wanted a homey B&B for a treat. We got just that with a welcome note from the owners and a group of visitors watching the NFL games on the pier. We explored the little town, watched an amazing sunset over the bay and then ate dinner locally. The bed was comfy and temperature perfect for a great nights sleep. In the morning I got up and got directions for a little run along the scenic coastal highway 98 and the parks. GORGEOUS. To top it off, homemade breakfast on the pier including yummy biscuits and Bill's famous grits! Feeling blessed -- worth every penny!

Hominy, hush puppies, cornbread, grits, Alabama white sauce on any meat, especially smoked chicken, are all popular in Alabama. BBQ is practically a religion in the South! As former certified Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) certified judges, my husband and I completed the training and paid the fees to be certified. The "KCBS way" is different from a lot of people's preferences in that, for example, a BBQ rib should actually have some "pull" to it, meaning, when you bite into it, your mouth should leave a mark in the rib. This means "fall off the bones" ribs are not KDBS quality, despite how many love that rib consistency. The KCBS judges slots fill up so quickly and required us to travel at our own cost and we did not judge any KCBS events. Back to Southern food. Deep fried double Oreos are one of the many fried foods here in Huntsville, and Melt restaurant features them on their menu. Meat-and-Three restaurants feature a meat (usually fried pork chop, meatloaf, BBQ, fried catfish, country fried steak/chicken) and three sides (fried okra, creamed corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked potato, potato salad, cole slaw, French fries) and bread options such as cornbread, rolls, hush puppies. While Southern Cooking is absolutely delicious, I have to limit it because lets face it, it is high in calories and cholesterol. When I do indulge, it's shrimp and grits, pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes, and fried whole okra.
