Love the chicken burger special with the crispy onions and kale slaw, it's my go-to order. They have a great kids menu as well which I appreciate! Fries are always hot and crispy. As a ethnic person (African American and irish)in this community its always difficult when my family goes out to eat. I never really feel 100 percent welcomed. The Hub fills its niche in Central Marin perfectly. The staff is consistently pleasant, and has remained so during quarantine (and seem to consistently follow protocols). They are courteous, they get the order right, and I appreciate how they always read your order back to you to confirm that they got it right. Most importantly, all of the food seems to be quite good. Their burgers are tasty, made to order (rare versus well, etc.) unlike many other places like them, and they have some decent variety on the menu. Their prices are reasonable and competitive with other burger joints, and their quality is better. I would choose them over every other local burger, except maybe Joe's. read more

The food's fine - the burgers have improved since the current owners took over, and the fries are good. Our last order was to have a kid's drink, but it was missing. Also, their gluten-free burger bun fell apart completely. I know GF buns are tricky to do well, but if something doesn't work as it should, there's no point in having it. Finally, I sent them a light email asking if one specific ingredient is in their food, but never heard back. I had a clear allergic reaction to something I ordered, and was trying to investigate the source so I could avoid it in the future. I'm used to working around a menu to avoid things that have certain ingredients, but since they never replied to my email, I don't know which item to avoid. So, I'm done. I hardly ever leave reviews but I was so disappointed with my salad that I have to say something... Went there today for a quick Father's Day lunch but did not get burgers since we're planning to go to Scolaris in Alameda later today. I ordered the Asian chicken salad and my husband had the chicken sandwich. He says it was "ok" but he would never order it again. My salad was a bunch of kale out of a bag and mediocre chicken and dressing plus some other mediocre ingredients... nothing good about it for $16! My toddler daughter had three bites out of the mac & cheese and I ate the rest because I wasn't too into the salad... Now I have a stomachache. How is it that I can get a fantastic high quality all organic and tasty chicken burrito up the road packed with guacamole, beans, rice, salsa, cheese, onions, cilantro, sour cream....the works, for $3 less than the Hub's poor excuse for a chicken burger? It had absolutely no flavor and had four scrawny little pieces of arugula, barely any caramelized onion and a slice of cheese that was extremely thin and only covered half of the burger. A Great Find The Hub has the best burgers in Marin...period! My first time here. I ordered the Hub Burger. It was pure bliss. The grass fed beef was so juicy and delicious and was cooked to perfection with just the right toppings wrapped in a wonderful pillowy bun. Could not ask for more. Tonight...bun was hard...some would say stale, burger was a crazy shape and didn't come close to fitting the bun..and had no seasoning. Carmelized onions weren't carmelized. Too spotty of a place. Sometimes it comes out pretty quickly, other times it takes forever. Sometime the burgers are small and overcooked, other times they are decent size and tasty. We had a great night out at The Hub. We split a #2 burger and a Keto Cobb salad with chicken and a side of sweet potato fries. All of it was amazing. And the family friendly atmosphere was engaging, active and warm. It feels like a community. I can't recommend this spot highly enough. read more

We visited The Hub for the first time since the "change". I was happy with my burger but it was the culture of the employees that was a little negative. A lot of sharing videos and laughing and making comments like, "bitch exploded". A young woman was showing her images and got the comment, "bet you got some DMs after that one." Assume it was a provocative photo. A pet peeve is seeing behind the curtain of a business and seeing employees acting unprofessional. Looks like an "adult" needed to be there to babysit. read more

I seldomly write reviews and when I do try to do so for great experiences, but in this case, I feel an obligation to share so that others do not make the same mistake. We are super easy-going and "forgiving" when it comes to food, but after spending $120 on sub-par quality food I have to say something. The lemon pepper wings are the worst that I have had in my life, the burger was way too cooked. The only good thing was the diet coke because it was over 80 degrees. I told the server that I could not eat the wings and that the flavor was just not right and he replied "sorry you feel about that". We do what we can to support the local business during these difficult times but The Hub will not be a place that we ever go back to. If you are considering going out with family and friends, do not waste your money here, there are far better places that are way less expensive and would have offered to replace or refund any order that you return almost untouched. If a customer places an order of 12 wings and returns the plate with 11 1/2 of them then something is not right especially after spending $120 in your restaurant. read more

We've been here a few times and I'm officially stating now that it's my favorite Marin burger. 100% grass fed beef from northern Ca pacific pastures and all of their produce is sourced locally is a huge seller as well. We loved the all real sweet potato fries. I assume their soft serve is the same quality could be Strauss' because it's also super tasty. I love their Stem Cider. However they have a nice selection of beers on tap as well and some wines. Great family meal we can feel good about. read more

Never go here.. ever. Change of ownership from Farm Burger to The Hub has changed nothing. Their system of pick-up is ridiculous. I came in to pick up food this evening which I had called in. I walk up to the counter to pay, the cashier asks me, "Long day?" I respond yes, in which he replies, "I can tell." Completely insulting. Not what I want to hear when I am picking up food from a complete stranger. Horrible customer service skills. He then yells my name across the restaurant. I walk over towards the kitchen counter and sit down. They told me over the phone that it would be 15 minutes and they would make the fries when I got there. (I got there 15 minutes after the phone call). I sat and waited while three to four employees stood right next to me chatting. No one asked me my name, or if I was waiting for pick up, or acknowledged me whatsoever. I proceeded to wait for about 20 minutes until finally one of the employees who had been standing there the whole time asked me for my name. I told him, and he looks at a bag that has been sitting there the entire time and tells the chef to start my fries. He apologized, and asked me if I wanted a drink or a shake. I took a shake, waited another few minutes and my food was ready. I left the restaurant furious that I was completely insulted when I first arrived, then waited for my food (which was ready) but they hadn't acknowledged me in order to start my fries. So far, service=terrible. Got home, the sweet potato fries were overly greasy, and the burger patty was dry. The only good food item were the kids chicken strips. Overall, I will never go back and I am warning others. Their pick up system is a joke. The fact that the cashier yells your name to the kitchen and expects them to hear is ridiculous. read more

Not sure if I was supposed to order salt and pepper as part of my custom build (if so, that type of info would be helpful up front - as well as how to cook it; I got medium well, but would have preferred MR). Very disappointed with the change from Farmburger. The size of the fries were about 1/3 the size of the old ones, they also weren't as good. One of the best burgers at farmburger, the #4 (Chicken burger) was totally changed. They changed from Gudah to Swiss cheese. They changed the sauce from a plum bbq sauce to mayo. Many options were taken away, and turned into salads, which is not wanted at a burger place. Everything has changed, and I do not recommend going here. read more

Digging the Hub. Really wanted to like this place when it was Farmburger, but ultimately it just fell short. I stopped in recently after a long work week to relax at the bar & give it a try. Burgers are better, buns MUCH better, as are the fries, and the addition of some salads and craft beers didn't hurt either. Kind of like Gott's Roadside in a more intimate setting (and not in Bon Air - bonus points!). I also liked that it was easier to get your order in than in the past. This is an amazing place. The staff were attentive and friendly and the service was impeccable. They have a nice outdoor set-up along with a TV and everything felt very safe. The food was top notch. The hub fries with their hub sauce and caramelized onions was a special treat. The #4 Chicken Burger was flavorful and fresh. The Oreo milkshake is a must get and the onion rings were perfectly crispy without being greasy. They have a great variety of beers on tap as well.
