First customer service here is top notch especially from Kyrinne. The first time I visited she was so helpful with purchasing a gift card, she even up sold me and I was not mad because I got a free drink. My daughter and I got drinks at my second visit. I got a 24oz oat milk Matcha blended with lavender and my daughter got a 20 oz green tea smoothie. I never get drinks this big and I probably cannot finish it, but it's so good. I used to come here regularly. I won't be. I ordered a cold brew with a splash of half and half and a pump of suger free chocolate syrup. It came out yellow! I tasted it and it just tasted like water with half and half un it. I refused said $7 drink. They claimed it is thier cold brew. I hope not because cold brew is supposed to be made fron coffee not just water. Last time i was there the cold brew was fine. This was not even coffee. Got a hot coffee instead. I said it was fine. On a cold, rainy day, I was getting my car tires rotated, so I had a couple hours to explore the area. And I stumbled upon this inviting place. It had a drive-thru, yet was unnecessary as I was car-less. I walked in and was delighted to see there was plenty of seating with music playing in the background. It was very earth-tone color like the hot chocolate I ordered. They provided you with a chocolate covered bean. The drink itself was thoroughly chocolately like I was drinking milk chocolate out of the scene from Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. I checked out their coffee via delivery so I can't comment on the location/staff, but did want to give a shoutout to their Mexi! It was basically a combination of mexican hot chocolate, mocha, and espresso! Loved how the chocolate and coffee flavors were both present and very much enjoyed the cinnamon and other spices! It was a little on the sweet side but as expected when you combine all these tasty flavors. For someone who likes coffee but a little too sensitive to caffeine, I appreciate all of their drink options from legit coffee to more latte-y coffee drinks! read more

Although sadly this used to be a KFC at this location, their replacement is a great addition to the Hollywood district. Sure there is the usual Starbucks but having a newish chain grace the NW is a great bonus. Not only do they have the usual coffee drink concoctions and such, their food list is pretty generous and affordable. Their drinks can lean on the sweeter side for those who like it. Their service is quick and prompt on the drive through. A nice added perk that I wish other coffee shops would offer is their complimentary chocolate covered espresso bean that they give with every drink order. I could eat an entire bag of them in one sitting if I could. Forget KFC, I'm so happy The Human Bean set up shop in the old fast food location. Honestly, I've never been inside... I've only visited the drive-thru. But I've been very impressed with the customer service and friendly vibe the employees help create. The service is always lightning fast, the coffee is always fresh and delicious, and I've had a lot of fun trying different offerings on the menu. They do a great job of introducing new items regularly. Chai tea on nitro, green tea smoothies, chocolate covered espresso beans... however you want your caffeine, they've got you covered. For being centrally located in Hollywood, it's nice they also have a large parking lot. Be careful when pulling out onto Sandy, there is limited visibility to the east and it can be a little dicey during peak commuting hours. Highly recommend the drive thru! On NY'sDay, met up w a friend for coffee and conversation inside the Sandy Blvd location. Was quite cold inside, almost felt like the AC was on; we couldn't take off our jackets. The machines inside were so loud, we couldn't converse. Our brkfst sandwiches were piping hot and tasty but so greasy we had to use many of their little cocktail napkins to wipe our hands. The upholstery seating was too long in the seat making anyone shorter than 5'-7" have to recline for back support. Our Irish coffee tasted like regular coffee with plain creamer--ok but no Irish crème flavor whatsoever. I've been in the drive thru many times, but I wanted to wait for a visit inside before reviewing. Clean, inviting, comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient. The selection of coffee drinks is comprehensive, with all the milk alternatives to suit your dietary needs. I prefer this coffee to that acid, floral stuff you find at places like Case Study. This brew is solid, strong. No outdoor seating, ears down. But there is a safe place to hook my dog while I run in, with water and a clear line of sight so she doesnt freak out when I leave her. They serve absolutely wonderful coffee with a great service and they put these little chocolate covered espresso beans on top of the coffee, which is really a treat. They balance a chocolate covered coffee bean on top and you have to be careful or you'll spill it on the ground before you get to eat it. The best surprise is the prices are a lot lower than Starbucks. I would give it 5 stars but, since they are overly friendly and I sometimes find that hard to take before my first cup of coffee, I rate them a 4. The Human Bean offers a great variety of drinks from friendly staff but be prepared to wait in line and have an inconsistent drink made. There is often a different amount of ice, flavoring, etc. I have received the same amount of cream in small and large sizes. Not only was the name so adorable but the vibe of the inside and sweet customer service made our experience that much better. Oh, let me get to the drinks! We ordered hot chocolates and Mexican Mochas (I think that's what it was called) and let me tell you!!! It was so satisfying and delicious! My Oregonian family argued that Dutch brothers was the business bc they believed The Human Bean was too sweet. But I thoroughly enjoyed our beverages and experience here. I often drive by Sandy street, so I was pretty excited to know that a new coffee place is opening (in place of the old KFC)! Walking in, you could see the beautiful and classy interior that are very well maintained. The workers are all very kind, approachable, and helpful! First impressions rely on the people you get, and this place definitely gives you a warming welcome! Within the counter area is a section where there's the usual sugar, creme, napkins area. There's a couple menus laid here for those who can't see the typical menu above the worker's head! Their menu offers the usual choices that coffee places offer, but also additional drinks that you usually wouldn't find or hear often. They offer many sizes for each drink, and the prices are affordable. I ordered the Breve (which I've been told is like a half and half) where you can pick whichever flavor you want. I got hazelnut and I'm pretty satisfied with my drink! They also put a piece of chocolate on top of your coffee cup (which I believe is the signature of their drinks), and who doesn't love a bite of chocolate? Overall, definitely a place I'll be visiting often where I love to seat near the windows and look outside while studying. I'm usually bothered by the music that usual coffee places play, but I don't put on my earbuds for this place to listen to the music. Beautiful wooden interior and exterior (aesthetics)? Check. Awesome customer service? Check. A variety of drinks in different sizes and good prices? Check. WiFi? Check. Good studying or meeting with friends place? Check.
