Hard biscuit and dried out eggs with potatoes under and overcooked.

I find it very sad as a neighborhood cafe, that the owner would not reach out or respond to my post. There is no service to acknowledge. I wanted to give this business the benefit of the doubt, to come different days and times. I don't understand why I was treated so poorly, several times by the front of staff. I just went through the reviews and the negative reviews were exactly like my experience. Sad

    Tuna melt, fries, mocha

Got my food fast, the tuna melt is good and the mocha is great, fries are ok, staff are polite and I like the atmosphere

I was really hoping to like this cute local cafe better. It's got a great vibe, are comfortable to hang in and are friendly and I especially like their commitment to social values. But I wasn't thrilled with my breve latte and I ordered the Farm Scramble with Black Forest Ham BUT without mushrooms (as I just detest this flavor with eggs, but love it elsewhere) and lo and behold my order came with mushrooms! Yuk! The eggs were cooked perfectly and they did ask if I wanted a fresh plate, but I don't like to waste, so I picked out the mushrooms and actually liked the rest. The home fries were PERFECT and I cheated and had some homemade strawberry jam with my biscuit, which was delicious. Daughter had a bacon grilles cheese and really enjoyed hers. All in all NDPDX was good, not great, but we do support local, so keep up the vibe.

Great, real food and excellent service! I had the rose pistachio latte-delicious. I was able to order à la carte at very reasonable prices.

Are there twice and their scrambles were great. My kids also loves both of their meals. And of course, serving Stumptown coffee was a plus.

Just what we needed -- good coffee, great food. We sat outside in the beautiful back courtyard.

Great food. Love their bacon and breakfast is great. Eaten many times over the years. Their BLT sandwich with a side of salad is bomb.

There's fewer tables than I was expecting. I was also surprised they had all the windows painted over so there's no natural light in the joint! The food and drink menu looks good, but I didn't try anything on this quick visit. The person who checked me out was so friendly! I felt very welcome and am looking forward to come back to play games at some point!

I called to see if they were dog friendly and they said they were so my boyfriend and I drove over with our two fur babies. Once we arrived inside, we were greeted warmly by the employees and they kindly instructed us to let them if we had any questions. My boyfriend and I first looked at their menu to see what they had and I love how their menu is themed! They also have lots of pastries both savory and sweet. I got their blackberry Faywild soda (their take on a Italian soda) and pumpkin pie macaron which was tart and delightful. My boyfriend got their white chocolate mocha was he was very pleased with, and he was browsing their TCGs and board games. They have plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy your drinks, snacks or to play board games. I cannot wait to come back to try out more of their offerings and to support a neat cafe that is dog friendly!

My family lives in the neighborhood, and walks to J Vein Caffé with my mom for a morning coffee is our favorite tradition. He also makes homemade whipped cream, which he tops the mocha with. Sometimes they drop a DJ event. They were able to bring famous DJ François K for an evening of local DJs from 5PM to 9, then François K to 2. François K began his DJ journey in 1976 in NYC. Essentially it was a house party for well under 100 people with an international DJ at a very reasonable ticket price. Only in Portland. Only at Sonder. The door was polite and the crowd was polite. There were no unwelcome club advances. There was no overselling nonsense and readmission lines. There is an area outside to cool off and converse when the dance floor is steamy. Water in cups that are washed and reused, not landfilled. I had a nice conversation with the owner and have some suggestions for future bookings. It was fun to see a little Melbourne Shuffle break out! One of our previous CMs did some DJing and would have loved this event and the venue. It is also an update of the fern bar, with healthy plants doing well with the South facing window. There is some outdoor seating screened by a wood structure from the parking lot. The location is almost hidden, but any map will take you there. Why hasn't it yet?
