I selected this coffee ship because it appeared in photos to have a nice place for me to sit and read while I had my coffee. The inside seating is great! Lots of tables and chairs and I was able to post up at a comfy arm chair. I ordered a honey latte and an egg and cheese bagel. Service was fast and friendly. The latte was very tasty and high quality. The egg bagel sandwich was very good-- the bagel tasted fresh and was buttered making it extra savory. I would definitely recommend this spot! read more

Seven Virtues just might be one of Portland's best kept secrets that is in plain sight! I've passed this place every day for a decade... shame on me. Better late than never! Parking is a bit of an issue, but this coffee shop with lots of seating is located on busy Glisan next to a bus stop and the Max station on 60th. I used to go here regularly but stopped due to poor customer service. Today I placed an order for a sandwich online and when I went to get it 30min later, they told me they were out of bread. This spot is super nice, great for studying, hanging out, or whatever. Their coffee drinks are good and the menu also includes some nice food options. I liked the lox bagel a lot. Service is quick and the baristas are friendly. A decent amount of seats, so you should be able to find a table for yourself. I've never seen it packed, but a lot of people come through throughout the day. I can't speak for parking since I've always come by light rail (stop is a couple blocks away), but there seems to be adequate street parking available. read more

I met a friend to chat at Seven Virtues Sandy Blvd location (at the Zipper). Seven Virtues is known for it's focus on single origin light to medium roast coffee. Coffee prepared with care served in a very pleasant location. Service is fast, friendly and efficient. read more

perfect for my summer study situation- quick jaunt from my house, small, good vibes, GREAT (but a bit expensive) bagels from henry higgins, and im big fan of the espresso so far (my main priority, truly!). staff was also very friendly- i couldn't hang out too long on my first visit because the hours are listed wrong online (they close at 4, not 5!) but i have a feeling i'll become a regular over the course of the summer. excited to try the rose syrup and maybe a pastry next time:) and the music was great!! major bonus read more

I love this coffee shop so much. It's such a quick walk from my house and it's a great spot to grab coffee. If I'm in a hurry, they open super early if I need it and the food is always really good as well. The workers are very kind and it's always really fast regardless of how many people are there They always have art on the walls from local art makers, which makes it feel very homey. read more

Not open for seating. The Togo cups weren't that great either ! The coffee was okay, I was excited to have coffee here based on the feedback from fellow yelpers, but I didn't like it so much! One main thing about coffee shops for me is the ambience, this place seems pretty old and not maintained both inside and outside. Choosing this place was my way of supporting local businesses, since it's pretty hard for the local businesses to survive in this pandemic, i want to be mindful of that and may be give this place one more chance once they open for dine in. read more

This is an amazing little coffeehouse. Great atmosphere to meet a friend or do some work. It has the vibe of your friends' grandma's kitchen nook. A great selection of cafe drinks. Try the chai! The staff here is very efficient - it's always busy but the line moves very fast. read more

I never write reviews but this experience was so disappointing I wanted to share. I ordered a bagel and cold brew. The lady at the counter was snappy and not friendly. I got my coffee right away but it took 30mins to get my bagel. The lady that took my order was making coffee but also chatting with another customer that seemed like her friend and when the boss lady came back from break she asked her why she didn't make any of the food and she said she was busy but she wasn't. there were barely any costumers and she took her time making the drinks and chatting. When I finally got my bagel it was cold and hard like it was toasted and then sat for 30 mins before they put the toppings on. Anyways that was my experience. I would understand if it was busy or if my bagel was worth waiting so long for but the whole experience was annoying. read more

Stopped in for an afternoon coffee lift. Excellent latte. So smooth with a delicate roast. Daughter picked up a vegan and gluten free carrot cupcake that turned out to be delicious. But loss of one star because there was a fly on one of the pastries that we pointed out to the server and instead of removing the pastry she just batted the dead fly off! Yuk! I live very close to this coffeehouse and was so happy to see it when I first moved here. This neighborhood lacks walkable restaurants, shops and coffeehouses. How disappointed I was to enter this coffee shop and find it rather barren with very little comfortable seating and a distinct unwelcoming environment. The interactions with the baristas, especially the older dark haired woman, who I think is the proprietor, have been un-smiling and perfunctory at best, and unwelcoming at worst. I hate to write this, as I typically love Seven Virtues and their beans, drip, and pourovers. However, the past two visits, the drip coffee has been incredibly weak, watery, and flavorless. It used to be very flavorful. I wonder if they are using less coffee than they used to as a cost-saving measure. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend their drip coffee right now, so I hope they see the poor reviews mentioning it and solve the problem. I'll definitely update my review if that happens. read more

I saw this corner shop on the way to my air bnb yesterday so decided to walk the couple of streets down to it this morning. I ordered an iced mocha with coconut milk, and was pleasantly surprised when it was made with REAL coconut milk. It came in a fancy jar that reminded me of home, it wasn't overly sweetened, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Oh! Stopped in here today for a quick breakfast sandwich. I had a bagel with egg, cheese and pesto. It was really tasty, it had a crunchy top and soft inside texture, which worked for me. I also had a Latte with Almond milk. This was a little on the lukewarm side. Next time I will order it extra hot. The service is pleasent with lots of wonderful smiles. I wanna leave a 5 star review because as a coconut milk chai drinker their chai and their coconut milk are both out of this world (they make both the chai AND the coconut milk in house). It's my second favorite chai in portland. They have great food options too especially if you have dietary restrictions. The reason they lose a star is because according to my coffee drinking friends, their coffee isn't the best. (Burnt) But for my GF and non dairy needs, I love the place. read more

I spent $32.30 on 2 drinks and 2 bagels. It is a bit expensive but I guess that's inflation?....We both took one drink of each of our beverages and did not drink them anymore. I don't understand. One was a smoothie and one was a latte yet they both tasted like the vomit taste when you throw up in your mouth a little unexpectedly. It was quit a haul to drive all the way there from where we live specifically to try it. I was bummed. Bummed. I work near to this coffee house and we would love to support a Portland establishment. However, every time I have come in, I have gotten sub par service. Today I called in an order for 4 drinks and 1 bagel for co-workers. My co-worker went to pick up the drinks and was then told rudely that we can NEVER call in a drink order again they only take food orders over the phone. This is a coffee house, I feel like multiple drink orders would be not so uncommon. We call in coffee drinks all the time at other coffee shops and was surprised that they don't. But upset as to they way it was told and handled. If we have been told nicely it would have been a different story. Unfortunately this is not the only story of employees being rude to customers.
