This is my go-to coffee shop, for several reasons: 1. The staff are, and have always been, very friendly. 2. I have never received the wrong order, even after three years of visiting this location. 3. The coffee tastes fantastic. 4. They have never stopped giving amazing customer service, even in the middle of a pandemic. They were prepared with masks, gloves, and sanitation practices long before these PPE became a requirement in the state of Nevada. I can always rely on this particular Human Bean to give me the exact, delicious cup of coffee to me on a daily basis, and to do so without endangering any of their customers or employees. I've been a fan of The Human Bean since they first came to Reno. They make delicious coffees at a great price point. With monthly specials, some daily specials, and occasional sandwich board specials, you can save even more money. Even the receipt they give you comes with a 1/2 off coupon for later that same day. The baristas are wonderful and friendly. I always drive away with a smile, and I hope I leave them smiling, too. In the summer, I let them give my daughter a 'whip stick', which is a serving of whip cream at the end of a straw. A little sweet treat that's fun for the kids. And I love getting a chocolate covered coffee bean with my drink. They always ask before giving it, so it's a nice little customer service touch. I have been loyal to human bean for a few years now. Whenever I am near their locations I ALWAYS go! 4 stars is only because when they make an iced drink they put the ice in your cup, and the espresso and milk in a reusable cup that they then swish back and forth to cool it all down. I like that they do that, however, there is ALWAYS some left in their reusable cup and I can't help but be sad that some of my espresso was left behind :( read more

I love the human bean, I go here all the time when I'm home visiting my family in Reno. Like others have said, unique menu, GREAT service, very fast and tasty. I like darker and bolder espresso, the drinks are good but they taste very milky and not very coffee-e (if that's a word... lol) Extra points for not using disgusting syrups like Starbucks, I can never understand why people pay for that overpriced crap. The Human Bean is also cheaper than Starbucks, and they always get your order right (another plus!) I have been there multiple times and I've always had good service. today was a different story l. I ordered a drip coffee and a scone. Fairly simple. there was 3 cars in front of me. So plenty of time for my order to be ready. when I got up to the window, twice the person had to check my order. Then I was told the coffee not been even made yet and scone was not warm. Better than starbucks taste wise but it has its downside. It's fat people coffee. You drink it and 20 min later, you are hungry again. There are drinks like that at Starbucks but for the most part, Starbucks drinks while not as tasty are satisfying. Again, this is something I consume daily, this is a big deal. The service is great but so is Starbucks. I only go here on special occasions when I feel adventurous because as I said earlier, it's known for making me overeat on a weekday. I went here for the first time but had previously had their coffee! The prices seemed more than fair and the coffee its self was delicious. Thinking that the most I would pay for the larger one of my coffees was $4.50 and of course the other one was supposed to be less because it was a smaller size. I was pleased to see the prices until I saw my bank statement where it said I was charged almost $16!!!!! For two cups of coffee that weren't even the largest size?? ?? The chics at this Human Bean location are pretty cool. This is why: 1.) They make our order super tasty like 99.99% of the time. That's a darn good ratio. 2.) They are always smiling and happy. 3.) They never forget our coffee beans, which is the highlight of every visit. 4.) Sometimes they gives us extra beans, which makes us come back again and again! 5.) They are super speedy with our orders and we never have to wait too long. 6.) They are patient with us when we are indecisive. 7.) The Human Bean is a cute little drive-thru with fantastic coffee and smiling service. They have a window and a small seating area for walk-ups and ample parking. I suspect it gets really busy in the morning during the way-to-work rush! I had a sugar free caramel soy latte and it was delicious, refreshing, and a good value for the money. Only complaint is that they didn't give me my credit card receipt after they ran my card. It left me unable to leave them a tip. read more

Love the drinks here! Daniel prefers their coffees but I am a huge fan of their Italian Sodas! They have such a variety in flavors and drinks as well as pastries. The servers are pretty friendly and helpful. We like that they have a point card, we wish it wasn't separated between coffee and non-coffee products because Daniel has to carry two. As others have mentioned the delicious chocolate covered coffee bean is a nice treat! We do get a little disappointed if this treat is forgotten but that mistake is easily fixable so no worries there. Our main gripe about this place is it's not a coffee shop. If the weather is good we can sit outside and read a book, but there's no wi-fi which we really enjoy when we want to sit with our cup of coffee. However, they do carry dog treats and take note if you have a four-legged friend with you. Saya has truly appreciated this action on several occasions. read more

I spent most of my late teens and twenties working at a small coffee shop and was taught the art of pouring the right shots and how important quality coffee is. I refuse to go to Starbucks - just bad coffee all around. When I moved to Reno I found this little gem and have been coming here and only here for five years now!! I really like this chain of coffee stands, because they make a fantastic smoothie. I'm not really into coffee, so haven't tried that portion of their menu yet. I usually order once a week for my toddler and myself, which is great because I use their punch card system to build up towards a free drink. This location is usually always pretty fast which I appreciate in the mornings before work. It's nice to be able to have the expectation that I will likely only be in this drive thru for about 10 minutes at most. The drinks are good, and the price point is lower than other competitors which I also like. That said, similar to other patrons my drink is often wrong. This morning for example, I ordered a 12 oz. hot irish creme breve, emphasis on the hot. When I pulled up to the window the barista said my total was 10.57$ which was weird because I ordered one drink and it was a small. I explained what my order was again, and then the barista told me my total was 5$ and some odd cents. This total was also wrong, as again I had ordered the smallest size. I again reiterated what my drink was and then the barista gave me the correct total. After stating my drink so many times I was pretty surprised when she handed me an iced irish creme breve. I had explicitly stated I wanted a hot drink at least 4 times. I was annoyed at this point so I just thanked her and drove off with the drink that I didn't want.
