Three 4lb quiches, $85 each. Salad and utensils included.

We got quiches catered for our baby shower. They were delicious! We also love the sandwiches from The Hungry Spot. Highly recommend!!

Food and Service was Amazing!! The Mango Habanero Pastrami Sandwich was one of the best I ever had! Asked for Crispy Wings to go and the Owner brought the pan out to show me and ask if they were done enough... Top Shelf Customer Service!!

Tried The Hungry Spot for lunch since it's a quick walk from my other office. I went with a coworker--he got the Victor's Crazy Chicken, and I got the Chicken Pesto sandwich. The location is nice and the vibe inside is cute, but there was only one person working, so things moved slow. When more folks came in during the lunch rush, he had to ask them to wait while he caught up on orders. As for the food, it was just okay. We both felt the sandwiches were a little overpriced, and the bread was kind of hard. My coworker rated his a 7-8/10, and I'd give mine a 7/10. Not terrible, but not memorable either. Probably wouldn't go back just because there are better sandwich spots around. We saw a coffee shop a few doors down with sandwiches for half the price--definitely trying that next.

We were in the neighborhood and it was lunch time, so 3 of us decided to check it out. We thought due to high ratings, it must be pretty good, right? Well, in short, the food was okay, but quite pricey for the amount given. The place is cozy with a handful of tables inside and out. We sat inside at one of the bigger tables to accommodate the amount of food we were going to order. OUR PICKS ~ THE ITALIAN SANDWICH ~ (salami, prosciutto, provolone cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, pickles, red onion, mayo. The bread was nicely toasted for a perfect crunch, but it was quite small for $16. They could barely cut the sandwich into 3rds. Not much meat, but it was good. 3.5/5 CORN SALAD ~ corn, baby arugula and mixed greens, artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, broccoli, sliced almonds, balsamic dressing. Like the sandwich, it was small for $19. It tasted okay, but nothing special. And you could definitely make this at home using a jar of artichoke hearts and canned corn. 3/5 MEAT LASAGNA ~ with sausages and ground beef. I didn't try this, but I was told it was cheesy and saucy but a bit too salty. They do give a decent portion for $21. 3.5/5 THE HUNGRY SPOT LAZY PIZZA ~ homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, salami, mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers, black olives. This isn't really pizza. Like the title, it's lazy pizza made with a loaf of bread. It was good, and the edges were crunchy, but it just didn't wow me, because I remember doing something similar when I was in middle school as an after-school snack! If you could toast bread, you can make this yourself. 3/5 Only 2 people were working, and it seemed overwhelming for them. One was the lady boss who took the orders and did the cashiering and the guy was making the orders. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a portion of our order to arrive, while many patrons were also waiting patiently for their food. I think if they had another worker, it would help speed things along. The place had many funny signs posted on the walls and in the bathroom. You can amuse yourself by reading while you wait for your food. I think that's what makes the place unique. But the food is what you'd expect from a deli. It's perfect for when you're too lazy to go to the market to buy ingredients to make something yourself.

Amazing little gem I'm shocked I had never stumbled on previously! The food is as advertised and fantastic! The "sandwich whisperer" made me the Italian ,and I absolutely inhaled it! The entire time I was there he and I were watching Champions League matches and sharing stories about our favorite teams. Make sure you check out the signs on the walls - pure comedy! New favorite for sure!

Best experience ever! We were visiting San Francisco on Easter Day and happened to be near Golden Gate Park, looking for something to eat. We were so happy to find this little charming place. First of all, thank you for being open on a holiday. As a business owner myself, I truly understand how hard that can be, and it means so much. We waited about 20 minutes for our sandwiches, but it was absolutely worth it. Every single one was a piece of art -- and incredibly delicious! Even though the line was out the door, the girls inside handled everything like true pros, with such great energy and efficiency. Thank you for making our Easter Day in the park so memorable. We can't wait to come back and try your meat lasagna!

Not the best view of the inside but trust - it is bomb. This one is the turkey brisket.

Found this place working nearby temporarily at SMMC. I LOVE it!!! Katerina is a hoot. She is passionate about her business, funny, not afraid to strike up a conversation and most importantly makes great food. All of the sandwiches I've tried are just about perfect. They're heated to a perfect crunch and lip smacking delicious all the way through the sando. I discovered the "turkey brisket" which she smokes herself and it is outta' this world. I've ordered it twice with everything and jalapeños and it is a 10/10. I think I will be at SMMC for several weeks so I see many more sandwiches in my future!

Everything was delicious!! The service was amazing & very welcoming 10/10!! Super cute spot as well, will definitely be coming back whenever I get a chance. :)))

    Victor's Crazy Chicken Sandwich

Lying within the neighborhood of Hayes Valley, I located the Hungry Spot. This nifty gem has three TVs, an array of old school posters on the wall and brand new tables and seats. The co-owner, Katerina, showed great pride in her establishment and her recipes as she boasted where she sourced her fresh ingredients from. It was September of 2024 and The Hungry Spot has been operating for only three months long. I came in during lunch and there were a few customers appearing to arrive during their break for a quick bite to go. I ordered a 6 pc order of Mango Habanero and a sandwich called, Victor's Crazy Chicken. The wings were indeed, freshly fried. The mango habanero sauce didn't have the kick in heat which I was expecting. The wings were lightly coated in flour and had a simple crispiness to it. Paired with my wings was a homemade Bleu Cheese dressing. The dressing was mild and didn't have that potent flavor of "cheesy bitterness" to it. My sandwich, Victor's Crazy Chicken, was accompanied by proprietary chips, seasoned with Himalayan Salt. I noticed that this sandwich was supposed to have chips prepared inside of the sandwich. Katarina claimed that the current menu needed some updates. That's OK. Victor's Crazy Chicken was prepared neatly using a fresh and warm Dutch Crunch roll with medium chunks of chicken thigh meat, mushrooms, green peppers, red, finely shredded lettuce (real fine) and provolone cheese. I valued how the Dutch Crunch was pressed nicely and served to me buttered and warm. Nothing beats hot and luscious, carby bread! The Hungry Spot deserves a solid 4 out of 5. Katerina mentioned a garlic sauce in my sandwich and I didn't taste a sauce to help tie the ingredients of my sandwich altogether. Perhaps, an oil (fat) and vinegar (tart) base would boast some flavor into my Sammy? Additionally, my wings were perfectly fried but the execution was basic. From the wings' crunch, the way my wings were sauced, and the sauce itself--there was nothing outstanding about my wings. If I were to come back I'd try their pizzas and pastas.

This place is amazing! We were visiting San Francisco earlier this month and looked up places where we could grab a quick bite to eat and this ones stood out. So we went there straight from airport to grab a bite to eat. First off it is the most adorable little restaurant in all of San Francisco! You can see from the pictures that it has so much personality. And Katarina was so delightful as we tried to decide what we wanted to eat for lunch. I ended up ordering the Italian Sandwich and yes, it was on the pricey side and it took a little while for them to make it, but it was so worth it! There is something about their bread that is amazing! Everything about this place was a 5+!

If you desire home cooking, a neighborhood cafe and a fabulous owner, this is the place you need to be. When you walk in immediately you are drawn to read all the fun signs that are posted. The ones in the bathroom are the funniest. Katerina, the owner is the real deal. She is incredibly welcoming with a passion for cooking & good humor- hence the funny signs. Katerina is from Bulgaria as was my friend with me so they were able to chat about Bulgarian foods. Katerina is so sweet- she brought us a complimentary dish of her veggie lasagne which was perfection with the sauce being a mix of marinara & Alfredo. Our sandwiches on toasted Dutch crunch were so yummy and our lattes very good. The salads are extremely fresh with so many goodies in them. We felt like we made a friend in Katerina and will most definitely be back! I mean how often do you hug the owner/chef on the first visit?

So while I can't speak to in person service or decor the delivery is on point. My peachy salad was just ok. The chicken was cold and not crunchy, and the cornbread crumbles were not crunchy at all, like kind of in between stale and crunchy... weird combo. Peaches and pickled onions were awesome though. The dressings that it came with which were a bbq sauce and some type of special ranch also were a weird combo, glad it was on the side vs in the salad itself otherwise I'm not sure I would have eaten it. Crispy cauliflower was good but definitely not crispy at all! Probably got softer on delivery but definitely not something that should be advertised as crispy when it's not... Steak was barely flavorful, quite cold even though it was "cooked on the spot". The caramelized onions were cold and nothing out of this world - if anything because they were chilled, they lost a bit of their flavoring. The croutons were nonexistent, I almost had to go back and ask if they could add some until I found 3-4 at the very bottom of my bowl. A lot of greens which was good, good serving there. I got a side of focaccia and that was delicious (do wish they offered to toast it a bit, it'd be that much more yummy!). As for my other visits, same applies - unfortunately it's just an overpriced salad I know I can make better at home. Not to mention 1 of my visits was a pickup order and they completely forgot my dressing on the side. All in all, I am very let down by this place. Dare I say I love and prefer it to be Sweet Green. Bummer, I really was happy to have this in the area.

No legitimate phone ordering system needs your CVV read aloud over the phone; that's the kind of information you only enter yourself on a secure, encrypted checkout page. Asking for it verbally is a red flag for how they're handling (or storing) customer payment data. On top of that, the location was too busy for me to just park and order in person instead. The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Sadly, this experience fell well short of that, and it's not a place I'll be returning to.

I didn't even feel the need to reach for the hot sauce or chimichurri because the bowl stood well on its own, but both were delicious and worth trying. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to the next time I'm in Hayes Valley.

Order their Rotisserie chicken! It's a waste to order anything else because that's their specialty…read moreand it's just so good. I came with a group of 7, and they were able to seat us pretty quickly. We ordered: A whole rotisserie chicken, the RTR Rice Bowl, the Chicken soup, the fried chicken sandwich, the seared broccoli, the rotisserie fat rice, and the shredded cabbage & almond. Best Dishes: The Rotisserie chicken and the Shredded cabbage & almond. The rotisserie chicken skin is really crispy and delicious, we were all fighting over who gets to eat the skin. The chicken is so juicy, it's really the best rotisserie chicken I've had. We understand why this place is so well regarded. The shredded cabbage is definitely the best side and we should've gotten another order, as we quickly finished ours and were basically licking the bowl clean. Worst: The rotisserie fat rice and the chicken soup. The rice was basically untouched and none of us wanted to eat it. It's ok, just falls short compared to the other sides. The soup was also ok, it's just a huge bowl and it felt like a waste stuffing ourselves with that when there were other better dishes. The rice bowl was pretty good, and is really good value. It's yummy and a good meal for 12.50. It's a very casual place, you order at the cashier and find a table and seat yourself there. Great for a quick lunch.

This is probably the only place where the sandwiches don't taste like the store's essence…read more I mean, don't get me wrong, a store's essence from any given deli/liquor store definitely adds unique character to the sandwich and sometimes I want that in a sandwich. But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.
