The shop itself was quite pleasant and compact, and the sandwich making owner was very friendly and modest. All indications pointed to a fine sandwich when I got home with it. I had ordered the $14 Lemon & Caper Tuna Salad Sandwich which just sounded delicious in a comforting way that felt familiar. It was made with capers, pickled red onion, fresh herbs, and a reasonable amount of mayo. All of that was squeezed between slices of toasted sourdough with lettuce and tomato (photo: https://yelp.to/OF_O-6ZH_i). The one flaw was the excessive lemon squeeze that saturated the tuna salad. It was a shame really because I could've bypassed the puckeriness by ordering the BLT or the Veggie Deluxe. There are also salads and smoothies to consider. I'll definitely try one of them next time. FOOD - 3 stars...good ingredients but way too lemony AMBIANCE - 4 stars...nice little shop on Divisadero SERVICE - 4 stars...quite an engaging owner TOTAL - 4 stars...nice shop, worth a try RELATED - Exploring the Haight? Fresh ingredients, warm perfectly crisp bread, and incredible vibes. Definitely try one of the breakfast sandwiches or really anything on the menu. The staff is very welcoming attentive and helpful and manage to make you feel like a regular within a single visit. Perfect spot to stop before a day in the park and there's a bathroom in store what more could you ask for

Nice sandwich place along Divis. Small shop with some parklet seating. I enjoyed my veggie deluxe sandwich and my friends liked their cubano.

New favorite sandwich spot! Between the customer service and delicious menu items, you can't go wrong with this neighborhood gem. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich and it was so yummy! Every flavor complimented each bite perfectly! This location is extremely cozy and central. I was able to relax and enjoy my lunch with my pup who was also catered to. They have a good amount of indoor seating and a handful outside to enjoy. I'm excited to visit on the regular and try all their menu items! Thanks Q for your kind hospitality!

Breakfast is my favorite meal and as I was scouring YELP for a nice breakfast sandwich over July 4th weekend, I came across Q's Sandwich Shop just before I went to bed, I knew I had to have so I got up, got the paper, and drove over! I was the first customer and Q was there to greet me. We talked about how he set up the store just as the pandemic started. He makes his own Hollandaise sauce on top of the egg which nice and fluffy As I was the first customer we got the chance to talk about he had opened the store just as Covid started and how hard it is to run a small business in San Francisco these days. The sandwich was amazing. Please support immigrant small businesses like Q's. It is the true San Francisco way!

Quick and delicious! Called in over the phone and picked it up around ten minutes later. Local shop that's been around for a while now and run by nice people. I'm not a huge sandwich girly but I'd eat this for lunch any day.

I have a thing for caesar salads and after getting my nails done at Diane's on haight (checkout my review, they're amazing), I wanted a salad. A quick search pointed me in the direction of Q's. They have a fantastic ordering interface on their website and 10 min later I had my salad. The lettuce was crisp and the chicken was warm - exactly how I like it! Highly recommend coming here for a quick bite. They have a few tables inside and the team that works there is very communicative and friendly. Even warning me that my chicken was warm so I enjoyed my salad before it got soggy. Can't wait to come back.

But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.

Ordered and walked out in the span of 10 min. Very italian deli with tiramisus and cannolis. Tons of italian snacks and puff pastries, and a convenient location to pickup anything from beers/wines to premade cannoli shells and gelato. One thing to note is you cannot customize the sandwich, not sure about the pizzas, which smelled delicious. They only make speciality sandwiches on their menu, but surely can't go wrong with any of the choices. They're packed with a sizeable amount of meat as well as greens. The half was enough to fill me up and they were kind enough to wrap them separately.

The fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and quality bread make for a simple but perfectly executed sandwich, and the avocado addition makes it even better. The service is always friendly and efficient, whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch or taking your time looking through the shop. The atmosphere has that classic Italian deli feel -- casual, welcoming, and full of character. I also love that it's more than just a sandwich shop; the deli includes an Italian market with imported products, specialty items, and other treats that make it fun to browse while you're there. They also have multiple locations throughout San Francisco, which makes it convenient when you're craving a great Italian sandwich. The biggest downside is the price. Limoncello is definitely on the expensive side for a sandwich, especially if you add extras, so it's more of an occasional treat than an everyday lunch spot. But the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience keep me coming back. A great neighborhood deli for anyone looking for a fresh Italian sandwich, friendly service, and a little taste of Italy in the city.
