Corn dog and chili cheese fries
    Noah K.

This was our second time in Paso Robles on Fourth of July. Most restaurants were closed for dinner that day but Sylvesters was opened while we were looking for places so we decided to check it out. Its definitely been around for a bit and has this old school burger joint feel to it. The prices were very reasonable, I felt that we got good value for our meal. I got a corn dog and chili cheese fries for dinner. The corn dog was amazing. It was definitely freshly battered and fried to order. The chili cheese fries were exactly what I was looking for as well. The servers were great too and also told me that the ranch was prepared daily in house.

First time coming into this establishment. Girl at the counter was very polite & made recommendations. I went with a classic cheese burger and a side of fries. The place is small with maybe four tables on the inside & one on the outside. No AC. I think their thermostat read 85°. Overall my dining experience was super. I'll just take it to go next time.

We have come here for corn dogs and burgers quite a bit but the last trip was a little disappointing. We had 2 corn dogs to go. When we finally opened to eat it, half of the corn dog was burned and lot even edible. I usually love the batter but all I could taste was burned and rubbery hot dog. I'm disappointed they deemed it a product worth selling. We were 1 of customers. No one else was waiting. We wouldn't mind waiting longer if it meant eating a dog that wasn't burnt.

Hands down one of the best burgers in town. Get the chili fries too. Ima come back for sure.

The vibe of the place was OK. It was small not that many tables but I liked it because it wasn't big. the service The guy at the register didn't greet us he didn't ask if I wanted our food for here or to go just stood there waiting to tell our order. The food was not what I was expecting the bun for the burger bun was wet first bite I took the burger came apart had to use a fork, the taste was really not it, it was kinda bitter and didn't taste good it. My friend got a buffalo burger when it came out it had a hair or a grill brush in the food it was not it the Sylvester's in Atascadero is honestly better than the one here in paso will not be going there again

A small indoor eating area I took mine to go. The burger and fries were a great deal for the price. Service was fast and friendly.

Their burgers are a standout compared to larger chain establishments as their burgers are big, full of flavor and cooked to order. The interior is simple and casual with little more than a soda machine and a few tables. The vibe is chill with a single monitor softly playing ambient country music. There are a couple of tables outside to enjoy your selections in the fresh air. They used to have two locations, but only the Paso Robles location remains, so we rarely get to enjoy their tasty burgers. We happened to be in the area and stopped in for one of their delicious, large burgers. I ordered a double burger which was huge in size and full of flavor - my tastebuds found it quite pleasing. We also ordered one of their Mushroom Burger combos. This one was not a hit, but a miss. Mushroom burgers should have ample mushrooms on it, but ours only had a few, so little mushroom flavor prevailed. The fries were limp and greasy. I'm not sure if Viagra could have helped the fries which were so greasy, they left out fingers covered with oil. Still, those full-flavored burgers...yum!

She somehow managed the bar, table service, and kept everyone feeling taken care of despite the nonstop rush. She stayed friendly, organized, and efficient from start to finish, even as the crowd continued to grow. Excellent service can make or break an experience, and Kelly made ours. If you're lucky enough to have her as your server or bartender, you're in great hands!

We had the bone-in bbq wings and the cranberry chicken salad. There were 8 wings in the order. They were meaty and dressed with the right amount of sauce and worked perfect as a light meal. The cranberry chicken salad had a generous amount of chopped chicken and with the mixed greens, candied pecans and dried cranberries was a great balance of flavor and texture. The pacing of service was good. There were the right amount of people dining and drinking at the bar and tables to give the spot a good energy. The only downside was that they only serve wine by the glass. We would have brought our own bottle and paid the $15 corkage if we had known. Other than that, it was a great late night choice for dining and drinks.

I was curious as to how the burgers I ordered would taste as it was a tad pricey at $18.00. The meat is a combined hormone free ground chuck and brisket. Comes with homemade potato chips, nice and crispy. I especially enjoyed the flavors of the goat cheese and balsamic drizzle with carmelized onions, roasted red peppers; all topped with a nice and fresh bun with a basil glaze spread. My husband ordered the Prosecutor burger with substituted Swiss, with bacon and avocado. He downed it so I know his was good too. I really want to come back and try the salmon BLT on a brioche bun sandwich. I paired my burger with a lavender lemonade, for $5.00 very refreshing. Total bill plus tax came in at $50.00 plus a tip. This place is worth looking for just be ready to spend a few extra dollars for some very flavorful American fare.

The steak was tender and well cooked, the avocado was fresh and the salsa was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My wife had the blackened tofu tacos and wasn't as thrilled as I was. She found them a little bit bland even with the peanut sauce and didn't understand putting cabbage on something that's already lettuce wrapped. Overall it was still a good experience and I'd definitely stop in again if I'm in the area.
