Delish! If you want high quality tapas this is the place. Located a bit off the main area of The Gulch. We came on a Tues night and it was busy but not overly so. The space is actually really big and we saw people going up to a second floor as well. Our server the whole night was amazing! She was very friendly and open to answering any questions. We wanted to try wine before committing to a glass and she was happy to let us do it. They recommend 2-3 tapas per person which felt about right. We made it right at the end of their happy hour and was able to get $6 glasses of a tempranillo that was tasty. We got the patatas bravas, the broccolini, the pulpo and the pork belly. Everything really was delicious. Patatas bravas - crispy but light and their red sauce was soooo good. Perfectly spiced. Broccolini - the char on this was amazing. It had a really good depth of flavor for being a veggie dish. The pepper shallot relish on top was also a nice highlight. Pulpo - we got this on the recommendation of our server. We were nervous about it being tough but this was probably the most tender octopus I've had and we love octopus. The green sauce underneath was really tasty too. Pork belly - this one was a bit too fatty for me but that is probably more personal preference. I came with 9 ladies and one of them was vegetarian and the place had a whole vegetarian menu separate from the main one where they adapted the dishes. They were delicious as well! We got the paella, brussels sprouts, broccolini, short rib empanadas, tartare, bistec con papas, and the shrimp. Our waitress was amazing, I wish I remembered her name! Let's start with the end. Get the burnt cheesecake. No really. Just get it and get double or triples of it. It's just the absolute best. It it's creamy like peanut butter and has so much flavor without being overly sweet. It's the best dessert I've had in a while. The other food was excellent as well. The Iberian Pig is kind of hidden in an alley behind Rudy's Jazz lounge. I've been to the Gulch a lot and somehow I've missed it every time. I visited recently for a work dinner. We had about 25 people seated at the bar upstairs. We had a preset menu for the group, so there were limited things I could try; however because of my shellfish allergy, they let me order one dish from the regular menu to substitute. There were others in our group with food allergies as well and they allowed the same for them, which was really nice. My favorite dish of the night was the empanadas! They had so much flavor. It would be easy to spend a fortune here with 1-2 people, so I'd recommend coming with a larger group, so you can order more options have more to try. The drinks from the bar were top notch (5/5). Initial Reaction: On the last night of our recent trip to Nashville, we dined at this wicked cool spot called the Iberian Pig, where they offered a heavily tapas-inspired menu. We really liked the dark, stylish interior with red flourishes and an intimate and almost smoky ambiance. It's a great spot to go with a friend or bring a date. For our money, the Tocino pork belly, Vieiras scallops, and charcuterie were good choices. With the charcuterie, the Jamón Serrano, Jamón Iberico, and the Mahon D.O. we ordered were on point. The Tocino was savory and satisfying, while the Vieiras were incredibly delectable. Additionally, we enjoyed bacon-wrapped dates that gave us a little savory, along with a little sweet. Their cocktails are also delicious, between the Brisa and the So Fresa, So Clean. The former was a mint-infused gin cocktail with elderflower and lemon, while the latter was tequila-forward with strawberry and rosemary. Very satisfying, as it completed us for the evening, although we did go to other spots after dinner. The bar area was also very cool, with an almost Spanish goth feel that was classy, intimate, and sophisticated. Every single thing we had was phenomenal, perfectly executed, layered and with in depth flavors, which had our mouths screaming for more. I'm not usually one for upscale restaurants. This one was paid for by someone with a 6 figure salary. Immediately upon walking in I felt fancy. The house music playing just loud enough to appreciate it, the dim lighting from funky lamps, and the wood everything made it seem cozy while also keeping that sophisticated look. Tapas are great because you can order whatever you want, and when you finish eating you can order more. I got a sangria, which my server (the bartender) told me would be better with some brandy. It was pretty tasty, and I got a huge glass. We ordered the jamon iberico and the caña de cabra cheese. The cheese was a bit underwhelming but the ham tasted delicious. it was so nutty and deeply aged which went great with the truffle honey, the jam, and the mustard that came with it. We also got some empanadas, which were good but i would order something else next time. My dad really wanted the pan con tomate with nothing on it. It tasted oddly similar to plain bread with tomato. If that's your thing then it was fine but i wasn't really into it. The patatas bravas were perfectly scrumptious. Hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they were covered in the right amount of spices and some sauce that was amazing. Burned my mouth a few times with these but it was worth it. Genuinely uplifted my whole experience by one star. For dessert I had a cream sherry. Since I don't go to restaurants like this very often, I've never had a dessert wine, at least not actually for dessert. I asked the bartender for a sweet wine. It was extremely sweet. Next time i'll get something less sweet because this was overpowering to the point I flinched from the first sip. After I got used to the shock of sweetness, my dessert wine brought my meal to a perfect conclusion. I would give this a 4.5 if I could. It was a great experience, and I'd recommend this to anyone who asks, but I think I ordered the wrong things. I took off one point just because what I ordered was lower than what I expected. I definitely want to go back and try the paella and the suckling pig once i can find 5 friends and a winning lottery ticket. read more

Do yourself a favor and order multiple because once they hit the table, manners disappear. I had the best time at the Iberian Pig! Our server, Drew, was super informative and answered my many questions about the dishes, his favorites, and the must-haves. We ordered the Jamon Iberico Charcuterie board with some cheeses, Bikini, Piquillo Relleno, Patatas Bravas, Croquetas de Iberico, Empanadas de Carne, and the Salmon. I honestly could have finished two plates of these tapas myself. The Empanadas de Carne had super tender and flavorful short rib inside a flaky and crispy pastry. These were nice little one to two bite empanadas, but I'd be down for a larger sized empanada if available. The Salmon was definitely a pleasant surprise. It was the dish that I was the least interested in, but ended up really liking it (as did the rest of the table). The salmon was seasoned well and was on top of a bed of yummy couscous.
