So my actual drink was good but my experience ordering wasn't good :/ I ordered ahead of time so that when I got there I could just go in and grab my Honeydew Slush but after 15 mins, my order wasn't ready yet. I started to wonder if there was only one person making all the drinks? There's one kiosk where you can order and every now and then someone will come out from the curtains to bring out orders. Just a weird set up and very slow service. The place is busy with CSUN students which is cool but almost 30 mins for 1 drink is way too long! Especially when I ordered ahead of time. People who were ordering from the Kiosk inside were getting their orders before me? haha I'm sure it's a good place and I just had a bad experience today!

The Ice Bar got a February promo on all matcha drinks! Just an fyi. This time I ordered a Viet coffee however with sea salt foam and 50% sweetness. I tried using the self serve kiosk. You choose a percentage for tip though, instead of entering it manually. Not a fan of that. Unless I may have missed something? Aside from that the drink was good!

The Ice Bar is my perfect escape from the business & chaos of Northridge. Located in a strip mall with lots of parking, The Ice Bar is the best place to go hang with friends, grab a refreshing drink or bunker down to study for hours on end. I've done all 3 of the aforementioned things on many occasions. I keep it simple & always order the Plain Fresh Green tea, it always comes out ice cold & consistently tastes great. There's a self serve kiosk if you don't feel like ordering with an employee but the employees always seem happy to help & answer any questions I have. They offer a handful of snacks & a pro tip: their ranch is DELICIOUS! I truly love The Ice Bar & I'm so so so happy to have it here in Northridge.

I had the best experience here, heather was so helpful and nice. The ambiance is very cool, lots of seating and I love that there is a touchscreen order screen for fast and easy ordering. I tried the strawberry milk tea which was amazing! If you like how milk tea tastes you'll love this as much as I did. It's a true milk tea flavor with a hint of strawberry. 10/10! I also had the chicken popcorn which was perfectly cooked, perfectly crispy, crunchy, and golden. I had it with ranch on the side. 10/10! Lastly, I had the strawberry dalgona with the matcha foam. The BEST drink I've ever had, truly. The whipped dalgona with strawberry flavoring was so good alone but with the thick matcha foam on top, it was even better. It tasted like true rich matcha flavoring and it's delicious. I will be coming back for this drink alone. I'm exited to try more drinks on the menu and to try the other food items as well. Came here with a friend after having sushi in town. I had the jasmine milk and it was really good. This Boba place was a minute or two from another really busy Boba place that my husband and I have been to before and their drinks were OK. At this Boba place, we were able to talk as it wasn't super loud and they had plenty of space to sit. you can order on the screen, and ready in a few minutes. I would definitely return to this place again.

On August 14th at 11:30 PM, we were hoping to enjoy some boba and decided to visit Ice Bar, as they were open until midnight. We ordered an oolong milk tea, a sea salt jasmine tea, and a taro milk tea. Unfortunately, the oolong milk tea seemed rather diluted, and the sea salt jasmine tea was over beyond salty. We didn't get the chance to try the taro the same day because we assumed it is going to be horrible. When we got the chance it was diluted as well. So, I called to complain and talked to the manager. She said the sea salt is supposed to be salty. Since we didn't drink the taro that night, we can't get a refund or exchange because tea sets?????? I never had this issue at Ice Bar. Sadly it did!

On September 1st, I had an extremely troubling experience at this location with the manager on duty, Carl. When I arrived, no staff were at the front counter, and because the restroom requires a code, I went through an unlocked side door to ask for assistance. As soon as I politely asked for the restroom code, Carl immediately became hostile, yelling and telling me to "get the fu#k out", effectively kicking me out without any valid reason. I explained that I had already placed an order and asked about my refund. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he again said, "Don't come at me like that, bro," in a rude and threatening tone. He refused to provide a receipt and only said that my refund would be credited back to my card in three days. Carl's conduct was aggressive, vulgar, and completely unacceptable, especially for someone in a managerial position. His behavior created a hostile and intimidating environment for me as a customer, for no legitimate reason. Being kicked out for politely asking for assistance is not only unprofessional but also reflects very poorly on the business. I strongly urge Ice Bar management to take immediate action and seriously consider terminating Carl's employment. Staff who behave in this way are damaging the reputation of your business and putting customers at risk of being treated aggressively or unfairly. For reference, I have included a picture of Carl at the bottom.

Very much a college area location. They offer different discounts with specific criteria periodically, but offers can't be combined. If you're a student or have a student, take advantage of that discount. I had their Taro Milk Tea and it was quite good, perfectly sweet. I also enjoyed their Popcorn Chicken, seasoned well, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Portions are pretty good too. There are several booths to eat at but they can get taken up pretty quickly depending on the time of day. The service was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, at the time that we went, they were playing very loud heavy metal music and it was driving me crazy. I know I'm getting up there in age, but I feel like any normal person would just want moderate volume and maybe more a neutral sounding music? LOL! Anyway, enjoyed the food, but that part sticks out in my mind.

They have a kiosk to order now. no employees come out to even help the line or take orders on the side. They call out a drink order and run back into the kitchen. I recommend to order your drink half sweet, they make it super sweet here!!

my friend loves this place so we went after dinner. I had it once and didn't think much of it but thought I should give it another chance since she was saying good things about it it's located next to a baskin robbins and the parking lot is a bit small, but I don't think people stay there too long so finding a parking spot was easy we ordered on a self-serve kiosk inside and there were lots of options to choose from! I ended up getting the milk foam jasmine green tea and it was actually really good! the foam made the drink creamier and it had a nice balance. the tea flavor wasnt too strong but it was still a good drink overall! we didn't interact with the worker too much aside from picking up our drinks but I think that happens when you order by yourself. overall, pretty solid boba spot in the area and I'm glad my friend suggested this place!

They haven't changed! Perhaps their art work inside but the services remain the same! And that's a good thing I can't remember the last time I was here!! I'm glad I stopped by after so long. This time I had a side of mozzarella sticks (5) and two dipping sauces ranch and mango habanero!! Oh my goodness the mango habanero is FIREEEEE is so yummy!! Almost made me want to try their chicken wings with this sauce! For drinking choice I had their taro milk tea! Delicious Ambiance is always a vibe! They play hip and trending music

I got the brown sugar milk tea, passion fruit green tea and sunset organic matcha! I was fairly impressed. The only complaint would be that the boba tapioca was too mushy but the drinks itself were pretty amazing! The passion fruit tea was super refreshing! The guy working was soooo nice! He was very friendly. He also accidentally messed up one of our orders but he literally ran outside to say he was going to make a new one. My friend and I ordered the Dalgona Sunrise Matcha drink, chamoy mango, and rose iced tea. The dalgona drink tasted pretty much like strawberry milk, the matcha taste wasnt there. The tea was refreshing (it had one single rose petal in the drink, instead of your usual several?), and the chamoy was good. Popcorn chicken is very reminiscent of McDonald's chicken nuggets. It's decent but it's definitely not your typical Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The fries were okay. Service was good. My friend was a little thrown off when the cashier asked us for a tip during payment since it's usually a silent decision on the customer's part. read more

I have just moved to the valley and was looking for a good boba spot that specializes in milk tea. I chose to try this place instead of constantly having Bon Bon all the time. Overall it was an okay experience. I wouldn't crave it when I'm looking for a milk tea. I was initially very excited to see they have a matcha series. Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea with honey boba has always been my go to. They call it I believe the Sunset Matcha. I personally did not enjoy this at all... It tasted more like a strawberry milk drink than matcha. Then I realized I got many chunks of matcha powder! This normally doesn't irritate me but they were very large chunks! It tasted as if they just dumped powder into the drink instead of whisking thoroughly first. No wonder why I couldn't taste the matcha with the strawberry. I would consider giving this place another try if they knew how to make a better matcha concentrate first. The brown sugar organic milk tea was just okay. Nothing special. Also the boba was a little too soft for my liking. I would prefer if it was chewier than melting on my tongue. Gave a two star instead of a one star because the worker was kinda nice when I brought back my drink since they forgot the honey boba.... read more

I'm not one to complain but.... Literal worst matcha latte boba I have ever had. It was super watered down and tasted like pure sugar. Should've just made it myself tbhhh. It also took 40 minutes to get it. Not sure what took so long but I will not be coming back. So disappointed. read more

The boba drinks are great here and easy to order on yelp, love that I can change the sweetness when ordering. Parking is easy and never too crowded like the other plazas in the area. I really like the LA skyline portrait on the wall and also the interior design of the restaurant. The chicken wings are well prepared, however, I'd prefer more options for flavoring. read more

I'm giving them one less star because it's extremely annoying that they keep asking for a tip... you took my order on a $5 drink and you ask for a tip? Every time, even if I make two separate orders just 1 minute apart they ask for a tip and make it so awkward... if I wanted to tip I would tip but please stop asking for tips on $5 drinks read more

No enforcement on social distancing , no limiting capacity and it was VERY slow to get our drinks. Now I understand it was a 6 drink order but I've never had to wait 30+ minutes at any other place with the same amount of drinks ordered. They didn't even label the drinks or try to ensure the people who ordered got them. All they did was call a number which is hard to hear because they play music so loud in there so we stood around an extra 10 minutes almost till we asked then they just pushed the bag to us on the counter. Not a good experience don't think I'll be coming back. No public restrooms either. read more

Super great place! They have paper towels at the door to safely open the doors so covid friendly, staff are wearing mask and I see them washing their hands every time they use the register when they go to the back even if it's not cash. Super clean! Even though it was super super busy and customers were being rude to the employees the worker Meagan at the cashier was still being super sweet. She was very helpful towards me since it was my first time. She was very kind and super sweet even when it was super busy I could tell it was a rough day:( the drinks were awesome! Got a mango smoothie and a mango strawberry fresh green tea, super refreshing! Boba was perfect soft and squishy! The popcorn chicken was absolutely amazing! Great staff and super clean! read more

I really wanted to like this place, especially because we wanted to support our local businesses but this place doesn't know it's left hand from its right. I placed an order on yelp and I showed up 30 mins later and the drinks still weren't made. The guy was nice but he seemed like a nervous wreck - he and his coworker didn't know whose drinks were for who and it was just a big jumbled mess. I had to wait an additional 20 mins and I paid $20 for 3 drinks. The drinks were very mediocre and they forgot to put boba in my drink but I wasn't going to wait 10 mins for them to correct my order. Like I said I really wanted to like it but there are too many other boba places in the area to choose from. Sorry. read more

Decided to try this place out, and I wasn't disappointed. They have a great variety of options. The staff is super helpful, and they answered all my questions. I would recommend mango strawberry slush or Thai iced tea they're great. The popcorn chicken was great too my whole family loves it. They also have a student discount if you go to CSUN which is a plus! read more

Excellent service and good selection of drinks and snacks. The calamari here is bomb. Was recommended to try the brown sugar premium milk tea with boba and it did not disappoint! From my experience with different boba spots around the valley and California, The Ice Bar has become my favorite. They have a lot of unique drinks offered on the menu, and I try something different each time I come. The interior looks great, and I assume it'll be a good hangout spot once people are allowed inside seating. Great job for a store that opened up so recently. read more

They just opened and let me tell you, their drinks are absolutely delicious! Their drinks aren't too sweet and their boba is cooked to the perfect consistency. Their milk teas are great! Although they are a bit more on the expensive side, compared to other boba places. However, it is very much worth it, for their drinks taste like their of great quality and they offer only one size for drinks--a large cup. I recommend this place to anyone in the area who's craving for something sweet! It's also great that they're opening next to CSUN. Seems like a great place to lounge and do homework or hangout! read more

I was on my way back to my hotel from visiting my friends but the traffic was terrible. So,I decided to take the inside street instead of the freeway. Somehow I got lost and found this place. I meant to come in to ask for directions because the map was taking me in circle (by the way I'm not local here ). The shop was crowded when I walked in. I was thinking it's an ice cream shop base on the name "THE ICE BAR" but to my surprised it's a tea shop . I love tea (specially lychee green tea). So, after I asked for directions, I ordered one "Lychee Fresh Green tea" togo. Thanks to the staffs I got back to my hotel faster than normal round ; plus I just found another favorite tea shop to add to my list. The tea I ordered was really good. Not too sweet or too blank. The lychees topping were really crunchy. The tea fragrance was blended well with the Lychee topping and lychee syrup (I guessed). The next day, on my way back to my home (SAN FRANCISCO) I bought three more drinks. They're all "LYCHEE FRESH GREEN TEA" . All for me . Definitely coming back on my next trip. read more

this place is horrible I got the popcorn chicken it smelled like cheap Ramen it tasted like they pored salt and cinnamon all over it it was not edible the dunks were OK but there are so many better places around there to get boba it was not fresh it was cold and chewy it took forever and the area is nice but the people hanging out there made it somewhere you don't want to be waiting around at read more

I wish I had tried this drink earlier, though, because 25% sugar really tasted way too sweet. Perhaps I'll return for a 0% sometime, but for now, I'm satisfied knowing that I've given it a chance.

It wasn't bad by any means, but it's quite different from the halo-halo I grew up with and the ones I enjoy whenever I visit Manila. A new spot for boba in SFV, walking distance to CSUN. I drove pass by many times but I didn't know this place was a boba tea shop. They offer paper towel to open the entrance door which is very COVID friendly, hand sanitizer provided at cashier, glass divided between customers & cashier. Store hasn't allowed dine in yet per cashier. They have some chairs for customers to sit outside the store. Menu is huge selection of drinks and caught my attention was Horchata with boba. Cashier recommended added coffee to it. It tasted delicious but I may go for lil less sweet next time. Hands down one of the best student spots in the SFV right now. The drinks are easily some of the most affordable in the market--you can actually grab a quality drink without breaking the bank. I love that they have a range of flavors, from their sweet signature milk teas to the spicy kick of their chamoy slushies (definitely recommend trying both!). The seating is mostly booths, which makes it a perfect, comfortable environment for studying or hanging out. Plus, the location is unbeatable if you're at CSUN. Only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I wish they had better parking as this plaza gets busy, especially during night time, overall it's a solid local go-to. I found out this boba tea when I came to for Halal sandwiches in the same plaza. I usually get my boba tea at Bon Bon across the street, decided to give this place a try. Covid friendly : They have paper towel for customers to open door entrance which is a plus during covid. Masks are required to enter the store, hand sanitizer provided before touching menu. The organic brown sugar milk tea 50% with boba is my favorite drink here. Love that they have an organic option. I don't know if they use powder but it doesn't taste powdery when I drink it.
