Tried this place for a couple of years because was fed up with the ripoffs like Gold Medal and AJ Perri. Turns out instead I got incompetence. Last fall (2024) I had Luis come for my heating inspection and he used my backyard hose to clean something. Turns out he never turned off the water from the spigot (left it running) and left some of his supplies in my backyard. Not a huge deal. However, most recently (May 2025) I was visited by Brendan for my AC inspection. I thought everything was fine until the other day when I went to the basement to check the cleanliness of the furnace filter he replaced. Turns out he put the wrong size in (16X24X1 instead of 16X25X1) AND he put the freakin thing in backwards. The filter clearly reads that the arrows on the filter should be pointing AWAY from the blower and towards the ducts, and this guy puts the filter in with the arrows pointing TOWARDS the blower and away from the ducts. Seriously? Brendan also never emailed me my receipt or invoice for the inspection or for the replacement part I purchased. I notified Kristyna about this TWICE through emails (Friday 6/13 and today 6/17) and she has not responded with the invoice. If you are reading this, run from these guys. read more

So let's get to it! - I like the fact that I was able to share the work needed via their website, and had a quick reply back via email - Online scheduling, which is a big plus for me - Pricing for heating maintenance seemed reasonable - Technician arrived on time (Kevin Kelly) and yes- you receive both an email and text message, which shows in "real-time" where the tech is relative to your house - Kevin was super-nice, listened to our needs/concerns Bottom line- everything was handled very professionally.....and a ton of credit to Kevin for being a good listener and explaining the work he performed in a easy to comprehend way. read more

A while back I needed emergency service on my HVAC system. The company that installed it wouldn't come out for days. I found Conway and called them. They sent someone that day. I decided to use them for my HVAC from then on. I have taken an annual service plan with them and love it. it's affordable, they come to check the system 2x a year and if there is ever a problem they are here on a dime. all of their technicians have been polite, and done a good job. Horrible, dishonest recent service. Conway comfort installed a new HVAC system about 5 years ago and all appeared fine. Then the AC condenser started leaking at the end of last summer. I called Conway and they informed me that there was a diagnostic fee that would be credited if I chose to have them do the repair. They sent out a technician who diagnosed that the A/C drain pan had cracked. They sent a video showing water leaking, but no crack. I questioned how that could happen since it is inside the unit, and he said there was too much stored around the unit, which still made no sense. I also received a quote of $635 above the $95 diagnostic fee that was never credited. I had a friend who works in HVAC take a look at the unit and he pulled off a thin plastic cover which revealed that the required condensate plugs were never installed by Conway when the unit was installed. A small amount of lint clogged the used hole so water started leaking out of the next higher plug which should've been plugged. I went to Home Depot and bought the 2 required plugs for less than $3 and fixed the unit myself. I then called Conway Comfort and sent them photos of the problem and the repair. I demanded that they return the $95 diagnostic fee, and they agreed; however, I have received no refund a month and a half later, even after multiple calls to the company. read more

The company sent 3 different technicians on 3 days (the hottest days of the year) to fix our central air. Each time they said it was fixed. It wasn't. They charged us $500 for parts and did not fix it. We were given a quote for several thousand dollars to replace the unit. Perri did it for $2000 less and they got it right the first time. We are out $500 because they refused to refund our money. Not recommended. (I am in East Windsor not San Fran) read more

Woke up this morning to a cold house. Called Conway at 6am, got answering service. They took my information and within 5 minutes I received a call from Anthony. Explained what was going an, he said he'd be at my house by 8 am. Anthony arrived shortly after 8. Introduced himself and immediately addressed our issues. He was very professional, courteous and respectful. Repairs were made in short order and we are nice and toasty again. Was so impressed with Anthony w3 signed on for a service plan. read more

Technician did a thorough job once he arrived, but the scheduling was awful. First they indicated they could come on Sunday, then they pushed to Monday because of the need for roof access at my unit. On Monday it was a no call no show because they were backed up Monday. I received a call at 6:30pm and then at 6am the next morning to get me in for Tuesday. Get it together and be on top of your scheduling. Not sure if I'd use them again. read more

We have an annual contract for HVAC support. Service is fine--but billing is deceptive. The past two years, they billed us twice, once in fall and again in spring, for the full year's amount. Each spring, we bothered to look up and see that, yes, we already paid that in fall. The company is blaming it on another company which "does the mailings". They didn't seem to care when I warned them that if they continue double-billing us, we'll change services. The office person claimed we're the only customer who ever complained about this. I wonder how many busy people accidentally pay them twice. I consider this a deceptive business practice. read more

Conway Comfort did an oil to gas conversion at our house over the winter. We interviewed about 10 different companies for the job and chose Conway Comfort because of Brian's thorough knowledge of both oil and gas systems and because of their competitive financing. Jim did the bulk of the conversion work and was a pleasure to deal with. He did a fantastic, tight job on the installation, kept the area neat, and made sure that the job was minimally invasive. He also installed our new gas stove (yay!) and retrofitted a 6" hard pipe for our range hood vent into a very tight soffit without demolishing the walls or ceiling. Every person that Conway Comfort has sent out to our house has been highly knowledgeable, capable, and reliable. They show up on time and do fantastic work. We can't say enough good things about this company and highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs. If I could I would give them 10 stars. read more

A/C was not working. Called Conway and they came out that day. The technician was friendly and polite. He found the problem rather quickly. He told me that one of the fuses blew, but he wasn't sure if he had one in his truck. He went to look. When he came back he said that he had the fuses, but his boss told him that he would have to do a diagnostic check of the whole a/c system for $354! I asked the technician where I could get the same fuses and he said that you needed a contractors license to purchase them. Which is not true, but it was hot and I needed my a/c working. After getting gouged for $354, I went to Home Depot and found the exact Fuses! Two for about $20. I have two a/c systems for my house that will need replacing in the near future. When that time comes I won't be using Conway, because if they gouged me $354 for $20 worth of fuses what is going to happen with a whole system?? read more

The call was for a furnace that stopped working. It turned out that this happened because somebody in the house turned off the general gas/electricity switch by mistake. The charge for the call was $89, but it should have been deducted  from whatever work was done. So in our case the work was putting back two screws the owner removed from access panel switch and could put them back in 30 sec by himself, the cost was $259 minus the call charge $89 or $170. No paper or email receipt was provided. read more

One of the best experiences we've ever had with a contractor. Adam is fast, friendly, and reliable. Diagnosed the problem easily, replaced our A/C compressor quickly, and did not over-charge. In fact, he took the initiative to see if our unit was still under warranty (which it was) and saved us a bundle. Completely thrilled! read more

The AC in my apartment wasn't working properly so my landlord called this company. The issue turned out to be very simple (an incorrectly programmed thermostat) and was fixed within an hour. Why I'm only giving them two stars is because I'm rather outraged that I was charged for two hours of labor when 40+ minutes of the "labor" was the technician driving to my location. I'm not happy with this and will probably look for another company in the future. read more

I called Conway as my AC was underpowered and not able to get the room below 76. My professional arrived on time and was very nice, but pushing for me to get the yearly plan. Took a look at my AC unit and said there was a broken capacitor that needed to be replaced. He then took a look at the condenser and said there was low coolant and possibly a leak. The quote for the repair came to almost $700. I called Gold's for a second opinion. They said the capacitor is fine and that they would put a trace in some coolant to see if there was a leak, and to call back in a year. The AC is now running just fine, and the only charge was for the coolant replacement. I'm thankful I got a second opinion! read more

These guys were great. My AC started freezing up every 2 weeks and I thought I had a freon leak. After a couple rounds of trouble shooting, and a leak test was performed, they found that I had a bad valve that regulated the freon. Other companies could have easily said I needed a new unit. It was replaced and so far it seems to have taken care of our issue. I was in the service field for 20 years and always found honesty will always get you the repeat customers. I would highly recommend them and they always had a quick turn around time. A+ in my books! read more

Anthony was terrific. Our heater was buzzing and he arrived right on time (within a couple of hours of our initial call this morning.) Anthony is such a nice guy and was very tolerant of my poodles who insisted that his purpose was to visit them. He determined that there was a bad transformer and replaced it. The noise has resolved, the heater is working fine, and the poodles are napping again. read more

This review is for their install team. I went with Brian and his team after looking at other options near me, researching Conway Comfort online, and doing my own research on HVAC. They charged a fair price (expect $5K for install on top of equipment fees), gave me options, and were very responsive. It also gave me comfort to find out they do commercial work (which is a pro). So I took the leap and I wasn't disappointed. The team of Anthony, John, and Jim showed up on time each day, were very friendly and respectful, and did a good job. It's been 2 weeks since they performed the install of 2 full replacement units of furnace and AC. I've only tested the heating and I have not had any issues whatsoever. Brian is stopping by in the next few days to go over operating instructions and maintenance and to double check. It really is a good and dependable business. I would recommend them to my neighbors and anyone considering them. read more

We had a second unit installed in our home last year and Conway Comfort had the BEST pricing of the 5 companies we received quotes from. They were able to install with in the week and we were VERY happy with the service we received. We just had them do our annual tune-up on both systems and they were very courteous and efficient. My heating system was not working and had an obvious error code on the thermostat. The manufacturer, Arcoaire referrred me to this company. Brian, the owner answered the call, was very polite and confirmed they supported Arcoaire. He further informed me they had a $89 fee to to determine/verify the error and that this fee would be applied to any work they performed. Sounds great so far. Just like it should be. About 10 minutes after the installer arrived he quoted me a rather large price including a $99 charge for "WARRANTY PROCESSING FOR UNITS WE DID NOT INSTALL". Now, I don't care how much they want to charge for whatever they want to do. However, to me this sounds like a bait and switch. They applied my diagnostic fee and then charged me a "new customer acquisition" fee. Other people call this advertising and actually are happy to get new customers and their future business. I politely asked if this fee could be waived, was told to call the office -which I did. Shannon understood my request and informed me she would talk to the owner and get back to me on Friday. I never received a call on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. On Monday I called and was told both were out for the day. When I told the person that answered the call that I would be posting my experience she told me to go ahead and do so. So, my message to you is that I have no idea how good this company's service is - but their business practices are not very user friendly. read more
