They advertise this on their website when it ended on December 7th, 2025.

Fante's made up an estimate from their Employee Alex/Alex added two Zone Valves w/two Thermostats/He told Me I would be getting another new thermostat in the upstairs apt so they could operate their Own thermostat/Fante's didn't do that work/They said Alex was a Rehash salesman which oh well it's on the estimate. I would have picked TJEckard for also $4000.00 less if I would have known this company wanted to swindle Me doing their bait & catch routine/Fante's didn't even get a "Permit" which is illegal. They waited 5 days after installing the heater to file for the permit but filled nothing in/They also switched the GB-ET60. 61 Extrol tank to a different brand called Prospect/they never sent the first item on the estimate which was the carbon monoxide alarm. I had to contact Mr. Ebner and tell him that that's missing. It took a month for him to send someone out, but that person handed it to my tenant and told her to put it on the shelf somewhere in the basement! And walked away! I then contacted him again and told him the outcome and it took four months to get someone to come out and actually install it where it's supposed to be on the wall. I'm on the opposite side where the heater is. That's against code and they should be fined. it's just laziness yet they advertise they have the best employees/it was finally installed properly per code 4 months later after the heater was installed without a permit. I have yet to see the chimney Certificate as well/All I am asking them to do is to pay me the difference from TJ Eckardt and minus it off my bill and let's get done w/this mess that they made/I think that's fair because I would've paid $9861 with TJ Eckardt not pay $13,845 w/Fantes. The only reason I chose them is because Alex said there was going to be a second thermostat installed upstairs so the tenants can control their own heat during the winter time/if I thought he was lying, which I did not I would've never chosen that company/but they tell Me they fired him & He explained everything to Me how the two zones work & how they would come in on the bill/all I want to do is give me the price of the extra thermostat that was sent for $350 deduction & a big $600 credit off of My bill/is that fair that I paid to have an extra thermostat & all I'm getting back is that taken off the bill? No it is not fair & it is not acceptable. They give out bogus information to the customer yet they think the customer should still pay even though the customer paid for something that wasn't done. instead of saying, their salesman made a mistake and they will take off the difference. But their salesman Alex sent Me an email explaining everything to Me/How two zones were going to be put into the house, then they fired him. Totally unacceptable & inhumane to treat your customer like this. Even the Installer put down at the bottom is the customer 100% satisfied with the job and the Installer put down "No" because there's a discrepancy of the second thermostat being installed upstairs. I am back-and-forth with this company with a Better Business Bureau and they keep saying the same thing over & over again. you would think a company would have looked over that sheet oven estimate which they think it's a contract that I never even signed and someone would've been smart enough to know since Alex put down two zone valves with thermostats that it is not impossible? Or why are we not sending the material? Who runs this company? they don't do a very good job. If I don't get what I am asking for them to do then I will have to take them to court . Plain and simple/I hope they turn around and realize they screwed me over and they're going to reimburse Me/I would never recommend this company to anybody. I feel I have been frauded w/this bait & switch Rehash guy/Also, in this so-called Estimate they don't even put their license number or insurance numbers on their estimates and I have never signed a contract. You can't make Someone pay if they didn't sign a contract. But I am willing to honor this so-called estimate once it is minus the price of a complete thermostat/like I said I would have hired TJ Eckardt instead if I knew this was never going to happen.

Awful. Staff is rude & lacks knowledge. Way overpriced. Avoid at all cost. Nothing but a headache. Came out multiple times & stll wring

I received a call at 7:50 that they would be there in 10 mins. I let me tenant know, and she advised that she was home and would be waiting for them. At 8:25 am I received a call back from JFK Plumbing & Heating saying that they knocked three times and that no one answered, so they left. I said, "I'm the landlord, and you didn't try to call me when after 3 knocks no one answered?" The plumber said he was getting all kinds of calls for other jobs so he couldn't stick around. I asked my tenant what happened and she said it was the strangest thing. The plumbing van pulled up, she even went over to the door after no one approached the house, and then opened the door as the van pulled away. My summation is that a more lucrative job came on the horizon (as mine was only a leaky toilet) and they decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze, pivoted, and took off. Regardless, the lack of professionalism, subpar efforts to communicate, and failure to consider how scheduling an appointment a week out and then bailing after 3 (largely contested) knocks, is just poor customer service. I wouldn't put my faith in them again, especially, as the plumber said if "all kinds of other jobs are coming in" I got deprioritized and you might too. Proceed with caution.

Yes, this is a long review, but for good reason. Please take the time to read it, if you are…read morelooking for an excellent HVAC company. Before I start, please know it's rare for me to write a review for a company, but every once in a great while, I come across a company who truly deserves a positive review. Jonathan's Heating & Air Conditioning Company is one of those rare companies that truly deserves a great review. On May 1, 2024, I had a company (not Jonathan's, as I hadn't heard of them yet), install a brand new HVAC unit in my home. In mid-June of this year, 2025, my just over 1 year old HVAC unit was only putting out "fan air", not "air conditioned" air. (Of course, the warranty expired exactly 1 year after installation). I put in a claim with my home warranty company. After several days of them not being able to find a company to come to my home to repair the unit, they finally gave me the option to find my own licensed technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I called the original installer, figuring he could easily diagnose and repair the problem, but he said he was booked out for the next 5 weeks!! So, I called many large and small companies that advertised that they can install and/or repair HVAC units. The earliest any of them could come out was about 10 days. Not only that, but most of them said they would not help me answer the questions required by the home warranty company about the HVAC unit's issues, so that I could (hopefully) be approved for the repairs & get reimbursed later. After many, many calls, I came across Jonathan's Heating & Air Conditioning Company. Not only were they the least expensive price I was quoted by any of the other companies I called, to come out & diagnose the problem, but they were willing to help me submit the needed answers to the questions required by my home warranty company, so we could proceed with the repairs once the problem was identified. When I spoke with Alix, in the office, she heard the desperation in my voice. She said they would send out one of their techs the very same day!! Their tech, Joe, did indeed come to my home that same day as promised. He diagnosed the problem. He took pictures and a video & he sat with me while I answered all of the home warranty company's questions and submitted the pictures, (they do not accept videos), on their portal. The home warranty company called Joe, while he was still at my house & said they wanted more pictures. Joe took more pictures and I submitted them. His patience level was nothing short of exceptional while we waited for the warranty company's decision. They did not make a decision that day. In fact, the home warranty company took days to make a decision. Alix, in the office, was kind and compassionate. She knew my cat & I were suffering on the 100 degree days we were having in NJ. Joe, their technician, was just as kind and compassionate as Alix. During the waiting period (because of the home warranty company's delay in reaching a decision), Alix and Joe continued to have good communication with me to see if there was anything else needed by the warranty company. On two occasions, I spoke to the owner, Jonathan. He explained in more detail, but in layman's terms that I could understand, exactly what the problem was for my own knowledge and in case the warranty company asked me any additional questions. The whole experience with Jonathan's Heating & Air Conditioning was exceptional. The pricing, the quality of workmanship, the communication, the willingness to answer questions I had & the willingness to help me answer the home warranty's questions, etc., by far exceeded my expectations. I would, without reservation, recommend them to my family and friends (and anyone else reading this review), should any of you have any HVAC issues.
