I have my own skates, so I didn't rent, but they have plenty of skates available for rental. They also have skate-walkers (not sure what they're called) that can be helpful for kiddos learning to keep their balance. While we were there, a lot of the arcade games were broken/out of order, but we still found some to play like skeeball. Sometimes kids were stopping on the floor when they shouldn't have been or started going backwards. I wish staff would've spoken up more about that because it was an accident waiting to happen! But maybe they're more enforcing of the rules during open skating a than private fundraising events. In other terms of safety, there was a police officer on site for security. The music was a mix of things but a lot of pop songs the kids were singing along to. The staff hosted some games that the kids enjoyed along with the open skate time. All in all, we had a great time and would come back!

This is a great location to free skate during the week or weekends with Inline skates or rent their roller skates if you don't own a pair. If you choose to host a party or get together of any sort they are a great and fun location for all ages. They have different options and pricing depending on what your looking for. I forgot to take pictures but they also have some arcade games also, and seating if your hungry and just need a break for a snack and drink. They are very lax with enforcing the mask requirement, which was disturbing. Adult and children patrons, as well as staff, not wearing masks or improperly wearing masks risks everyone's safety. The Snack stand makes snacks to order, so I had to wait 15 minutes for an undercooked, doughy pretzel and a semi-decent slice of pepperoni pizza which costed me nearly $7. The upside is that there weren't a lot of people present and they didn't charge a "spectator" fee, which is something new that Skateland implemented for non-skating patrons.

Bleacher are wooden, which isn't always so comfortable but it kept my bottom warm! The had a small ice rink for players to warm up before they take the full ice. Rink is very well maintained & plenty of bleacher space! Concession stand is nice and well maintained. Who can pass up $1 for popcorn! Bathrooms are a big things for me at an ice rink. I always feel like no matter what, the potty's are freezing! But, much to my surprise they were nice & warm! Overall, I was very impressed with the arena! They even have a "walker" type device to help new skaters (which would not be used during hockey but for open skate). I wish they had something like this closer to my home!

They were super friendly and patient. One guy even anticipated my needs had had the next size up in skates ready for me when I came back to get ta bigger size of my kid. We brought our own skates and were bummed to find out you had to pay to skate, even if you didn't need to rent skates! We paid $10 for each of us, which isn't bad. The night we went, they had "cosmic skate", where all the house lights are turned off and there are dim colored lights cast on the ice. It was a cool concept and something I never experienced before. The Arctic Zone has Sirius XM for their radio and the staff had the "coffee house" music station on. We were finally exhausted of the less than energetic music and asked if they could change it to something more upbeat. They did and things got more exciting! We will probably return sometime in the future, but will try out other rinks first.
