My color stylist Donna was great. Took the time to understand the look I wanted. I did feel the blow dry service to be a little messy. But mostly I removed 2 stars because while booking the appointment on phone, the person who spoke to me said that I could avail the new client discount when I said the price is a steep increase from the last time I had the service. She said I was a new client for their "new location" after I reminded her that I have been a client in their old location. That was one of the reasons behind deciding to go there. When it came time to pay, they did not honor the discount and just said 'sorry' there was a miscommunication. I think that was unprofessional because you can't use discount to entice clients and not honor it after the service. read more

I've been a returning customer at this salon, but today's experience was unacceptable and will be my last. I booked a haircut/color service with a senior stylist for a higher rate, expecting professionalism and respect for my time. Instead, my appointment was clearly double booked and that too, they asked me if I can come earlier than my scheduled appointment. I showed up on time. After applying color and not returning even after time for washing and not seeing her again for 20 more minutes I called out to her. She was actively cutting another person's hair right across me. I was left sitting there with no communication - despite multiple rounds of "I'll be right there" sweet talk. When she finally returned, everything was rushed and noticeably different from my past experience - clearly trying to finish quickly. I was again left waiting with wet hair and towel while she continued with other client. At that point I was completely done and chose to leave mid-service. Despite this, I was charged full amount for the color and the quick shampoo, something I could have achieved at home with any box color - minus the disrespect. All this and the stylist and the staff exchanging looks that made it clear they knew this was wrong. I spoke to the manager, hoping for accountability. Instead, met with defensiveness, excuses like "it's a busy time of year" and comments that customers should expect random delays. A cold, insincere "sorry" followed. Being busy does not justify double-booking, abandoning a client mid-service, or treating someone's time as disposable - especially when charging premium rates. Personally, I get more consistent results with my Dyson tools than making a 30 minute drive to rushed, fragmented service. read more

The cut was nice but I feel scammed... x2. I came in the other day to get a hair cut because I recently brought my sibling in as a birthday treat and they mailed us a coupon to give to someone for their first time (anyone gets a discount for their first visit, coupon or not). I had booked my sibling a barbers cut online since that is what they have and have gotten at every salon. We booked with a junior stylist; the price listed online was $46. They changed our appointment almost immediately after I booked it to be an hour later via text message because their stylist in didn't do barber cuts. After checking in my sibling, who is biologically a female, the salon switched the cut to be a haircut for $66. It was their birthday and although I didn't agree with the service or price change I tried to talk to them about it and they basically told me that's how it is. Flash forward to my cut the other day. I booked a junior haircut for $66. After doing the consultation of which I told them I want a short trim and to clean up my face framing. I went to the wash bowl and as Ayanna started to cut my hair she informed me the price would be $81. I was a little taken aback. The first time felt like a fluke but now I feel taken advantage of. When the stylist offered to style my hair I said no, no need, because I didn't want to take the extra time and have heat put on my hair, plus I wasn't going anywhere afterwards. When I asked the lady at the front desk about the price change, why, she said it was because my hair was long....??? Like yes it is long but that should make no difference since you're cutting it not dyeing it. I only asked for a trim, no layers, no bangs, nothing fancy at all. She said they add a premium since long hair takes longer to cut..... I'm sorry but just because my hair is below my collarbone doesn't mean I should be charged more. Especially when you're website doesn't reflect that. Plus I didn't get my hair styled. ON TOP of all this the ladies that started their haircuts before me were still in the chair as I was leaving and they had shorter hair. Overall I feel as though I've lost trust in the salon and had $40 stolen from me. The cherry on the cake is my cut is uneven. read more

Worst experience for hair coloring. I went for balayage. They don't even know what a balayage is and are charging $250+ for it. Overpriced and not worth your time and money . Not happy with the service at all. One of the staff was shouting ,rude and getting defensive when I tried giving feedback. If you are going to remove the color sooner due to sensitivity, you atleast need to notify the customer. Not wait until the customer sees a problem and raises a question, after all the color and styling is done. read more

I scheduled an appointment online for a hair consultation at 11:30 AM. A few days before my appointment, the salon called me and offered to move my appointment time to the afternoon so that if I wanted to go ahead and get the coloring service after my consultation, there was an available spot. I agreed and rearranged my plans to ensure that I would be on time and have enough time for the afternoon appointment. However, when I showed up on time for my afternoon appointment, I was told that it would only be for a consultation because they were all booked. I was surprised and confused. I was also disappointed because I was looking forward to getting a new look. I felt that my time was not respected. I went to this salon and had Becca as my stylist for 2 years. I missed a few appointments and then I got sent to the interns. I have been annoyed the last 4/5 times I go. I spend 500-700 every time I show up and being regulated to junior people has pissed me off. The ladies in this shop is awesome. I found them by accident as I was looking for some to cut my wigs. They made me feel welcomed and great about my wig. I have a medical condition that make my hair fall off so they helped me after I called numerous places that will not cut wigs including my own stylist. I went to this salon because the hair dresser I tried, after my long time hairdresser moved out of state, could not get my hair the color I was used to and wanted. The first time I went I asked for the brassy tone to be removed l, they applied a toner/glaze and ashed my hair until I got back from vacation and could have the entire color done. My appointment was at 10am. At 1:30 pm the stylist began to dry my hair, she noticed the top of my hair still looked brassy so she consulted with a senior stylist "the manager" on how to fix it. That's when I realized she was novice. She then applied another toner to just the crown l, rinsed me and began to style my hair. I noticed my ends felt dry and brittle and she realized it as well but stayed quiet and put serum on my hair. After she finished drying it. She began to cut more "dead fried ends". I told her I was unhappy and wanted my money back. The manager refused to give me my money back and said her hair looked the same, and offered a deep conditioning treatment. After a few more minutes of discussion, she insulted me by saying I don't know what highlights would do to hair. I very politely told her to keep her money and left the salon. I've been getting my hair colored/highlighted for years. I know what damaged hair feels like. I rate the shop a 2 only because the staff is very nice, until something goes wrong of course! Be ware. This is a novice salon. And to top it off I have color on the back of my blouse and my cut is uneven! $300+ for this!! read more

Wow this place is disappointing. Online price is 60-90 with one hour time, but got charged double that in person. They don't tell you the breakdown either. My haircut is absolutely horrendous it's not anything I asked for even though I saw a master stylist. Took almost two hours for a haircut. Stylist are friendly, but they spent the entire time socializing with each other which adds to the amount of time they have to put into the haircut also a distraction from a good quality haircut. They should be focusing on the clients hair instead. It was quite annoying to hear constant banter. For the past 4 years, I have been a customer at Image Salon & Spa receiving a variety of hair services from highlights to root touch-ups. I was booked with their stylist, Ashley, who had me scheduled for recurring touch-up appointments every few weeks. Given my frequency in visiting the salon, I've had a few bad experiences and they've now led me to finally leave this review. Strike 1, she had overcharged after quoting me for a set of services despite clarifying the breakdown beforehand. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as things can change during the service. Strike 2, I got a chemical burn behind my ear during a color treatment and was told it was my own skin issue; I was ignored even after mentioning the discomfort I was in. Still, I continued to go for my regular appointments and didn't feel these were worth causing a disputes over. My very last visit from a few weeks ago for a root touch-up was strike 3. I was running late due to attending a serious personal matter and had called ahead of time to notify that I would be arriving about 10-15 minutes past my scheduled time. Since it was a simpler repeat treatment that didn't need any consultation, she started on me immediately but mentioned that she would not have time to style my hair given my arrival time. I agreed and continued on with the service as the styling wasn't the purpose of my visit. Once the foils are applied, typically, I am set to process for a total of 40 minutes as I have stubborn grays. This time, I was only in for about 25 minutes when I was hurriedly taken to the back to be washed out. She used just a little bit of shampoo and skipped conditioner altogether. After I was brought back to the chair, my head felt extremely itchy and was still dripping wet. Not even a few moments later, I was told that I am done and can make the payment. I was confused given we did confirm that there was no time for styling, but to not have time to even comb it out and partially dry felt ridiculous. The salon was still operating well within its opening hours and it was extremely cold outside to be leaving with wet hair. I mentioned that I am also recovering from extreme pneumonia and she rudely shrugged it off to reply with: "Well, people get sick with germs and other things also." This uncaring attitude threw me off completely and despite multiple requests to dry my hair, nothing resonated with her. When it came time to make the payment, she still had the audacity to request the full amount which I absolutely refused given the complete lack of care given at this appointment. After this incident, I came home to find color still in my hair strands as I combed my hand through my head. With my loyalty and frequency of visiting the salon, I am so utterly distraught by the complete carelessness, negligence, and disrespect I faced while receiving my standard treatment. I saw Cassidy for a much needed hair cut and came away pleased with the whole experience. The salon had all the safeguards in place to protect customers from Covid-19, all of the employees seemed to be following the protocols for social distancing, wearing masks, cleaning thoroughly between clients. Cassidy did a terrific job and I love my hair once again, I've been coming to The Image for a couple of years and my original stylist left after having a baby. I've been trying out other stylists and they have all been great, I do think Cassidy is the best fit for me so I'll be returning to see her in the future. Amber has been my stylist for going on 3 years. She's amazing! I first found her when she used to work at Ulta in Fremont, CA and I've been with her since. She listens to what you want and will suggest other ideas that work better for your hair and your hair routine. My hair is pretty thick so she knows to thin my hair a little and keep it super short in the back; I don't have to remind her. AND I'm very indecisive because I want to do so many things to my hair, which makes her super patient. I would not have anyone else touch my hair. My friend and I came in for hair and make up for a wedding. They were kind enough to fit us in on short notice and the make up turned out great, however, they are very limited to colors. If you want anything outside of basic color for eyes, they probably won't have it. The hair was a total disaster. The style was worse than anything I could ever have done at home and the worst I've ever had at a salon. Ask for a curl and lots of body. When she finished, it was totally flat. I ask if she could maybe do a little more because it looked horrible and the photo below is what I ended up with. I realized she had no plans of changing it. I don't think anyone can say they actually think this looks good. I was embarrassed to even walk outside or back into the hotel. I paid because I didn't want to cause any issues and did not have time, but I would not recommend for a style. I didn't have time to wash and start over and had to work with what was done to fix it myself after paying almost $200 for a style and make up with a discount. The other photo is what I done after the fact. My friend also ask for a little more on top and ended up with a small pony tail like a teenager on top of her head. She also came back and fixed her hair. We both did like the make up and that's the reason for 3 stars. If it had not been for that it would have been a 1.5 maybe 2 because they did put curl in it. read more

Beware of bait and switch. The service was good and hair trim was decent. My low rating has to do with the value and cost of what was initially estimated to what it actually cost. $75 for child's trim. My daughter is 11 so I specifically asked for level 1 or 2 stylist for cost discount. She does have long hair and initially we were quoted $28 (a little high but ok my daughter really liked a stylist who is currently on maturity leave) but I wanted her to have a good experience. Then after checking it was $40 for the cut. They wanted to upsell us with blow out and styling it would be $53 and deep conditioning $65 total. I let my daughter choose, she choose to keep the additional $25 and pay only for the trim $40. Manager came back and said that because my daughter had long hair it was now $53.....ok we went from $28 on phone to $40 onsite and now $53. Since just the wash and cut was $53 without styling, I asked my daughter to do the math and see if she wanted to get deep conditioning for $65. She said for $13 why not. That made the $28 haircut to $65, plus $10 tip (stylist didn't set price, manger did?) turned out to $75 to trim out her split end and deep condition. Her hair once dried didn't look any different than before just shorter and little less split ends - so yeah $75 for a trim (included deep conditioning and wash - No styling at the end! Her hair was still very wet when we left.). We are NOT coming back. read more

Since it was my first time they gave me $20 off, which is kind of nice to get that discount. I have paid lot of money before for crappy haircut at different salons.
