Nice to be able to have a place at the beach as a one stop shop when in the area. We had visited the Sherman gardens nearby and I yelped a place for lunch and by happenstance saw lobster rolls are a fan favorite here which my man absolutely loves, as he is from Maine. Parking was actually a breeze for us in the neighborhood nearby and we walked right down to the place where there were tables and the line wasn't long. Should've gone with the lobster roll but I opted for my usual clam chowder which came out smaller than I thought. When the order came out we also saw they didn't include the seasoned fries I ordered, which is fine because it wasn't on the receipt either. I told my man we don't need to order anymore because we had plenty. Just make sure when ordering you have them read it back not to miss anything. The clam chowder was good, could've had more clam but came out piping hot, which I know is an issue sometimes at places like this. My son got the tuna melt and couldn't finish his potato chips. Wish they had coke on the menu instead of Pepsi, that's my only qualm but other than that next time I'd definitely order the lobster roll. read more

Terrible service. We came in with a large group on Sunday May 17 around 3:30 - 4pm and while some of us were waiting in line to order, two people in our group were rudely told they could not sit at the benches because they hadn't purchased anything yet. The employee who approached us was a middle-aged blonde woman, and her attitude was very disrespectful. Because of the poor customer service, we decided not to purchase anything at that time and instead sat at the public beach benches. Later, my parents went back to buy an ice cream and a drink, but before they could even finish ordering, the same employee assumed they wanted to sit at the benches again and said, "You still can't sit at the benches when you buy an ice cream and a drink -- you have to buy a combo." My parents ended up walking away because of how rude and unwelcoming the interaction was. We were treated poorly for no reason, and it completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend being helped by her. read more

Delightful spot right on the beach here in Corona Del Mar - a few picnic tables outside and a few in the shade against the building available as well. Burgers and seafood fare for $15-20, breakfast available before 11am. Owner super friendly and nice. Tried the Korean BBq burger which was messy but very good - the shrimp PoBoy was also good. They were out of the corn and lobster today. Parking right out front for an hourly fee or free up top if you take the 5 minute walk down the hill. read more

We were completely surprised and impressed by the quality and how tasty our food was. Snack shacks and beach side ones at that don't have the best reputation for quality food but this place proved us wrong. First of all we love that it's right there at the beach so you don't have to drive anywhere to get food if you are hungry and out of snacks while spending the day at the beach. This shack has two sides. One side has nachos, hot dogs, churros etc. the other side has food. We ordered a Jetty burger with homemade potato salad (which was so good with tons of fresh dill.. my fave!), along with some chicken tenders and fries (my daughter said it was so good), and a side of house made pickled veggies. I'm obsessed with pickled veggies and these were so good! A bit of tang and sweetness AND good for digestion? I'm sold. So so yummy. Will be back for sure. read more

*****Great Food***** Formerly known as the Tackle Box, the same owners are still making delicious food. Outdoor seating only which includes tables. Or, opt to sit on the sand while enjoying your food with amazing views of CDM and the ocean. There are two sides. There is the snack side and the food side where an amazing craftsman, Brian, consistently makes great food. My favorites include the Ahi Burger (when it's available) and the chicken club. The breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, and shrimp roll are a close seconds. My absolute favorite thing to do is sharing the Chiclen Club with my 9 year old. Delicious toasted bread, moist grilled chicken, and a thick piece of bacon make this our favorite. Home-made chips and potato salad make this the perfect luch that I absolutely love sharing with her.. Great food and awesome views make sharing this food with my baby one of my favorite things to do!! This place is a gem! Our family loves the fries here! Today we got the bbq bacon burger and the shrimp roll. They both come with house made chips and were delicious. The chips are cooked to perfection. Thin and crispy but not hard like you'll take out a filling. The shrimp roll comes with big shrimp not the bay shrimp like I am used to in shrimp rolls and it was fantastic. Shrimp was not chewy, perfect amount of sauce, shredded lettuce on top to give it a full sandwich feel. The burger was cooked perfectly , toasted bun, perfect amount of sauce. read more

Amazing food, down to the last bite. We tried the lobster roll and the shrimp roll, plus a tuna melt. All very tasty. For a glorified food truck basically (in a permanent structure right by the sand, with 2 tables under partial shade and a few beach benches under the palm trees, plus no indoor seating), this is very good food. read more

This review is the corn only. Waited about 10 mins after ordering a 7.00 corn for the conscience cause there's no other place to eat around the beach. Upon receiving it was warm and still undercooked. Lack of seasoning but it did have butter. read more

Drove 35 mins and spent $20 on parking just to find out they like to close before 3pm some days. Between 1pm and 3pm, said the staff on the other side of the busienss. It's 1:30pm and my time and money has been wasted trying to patron this place. Do not advertise hours as such if you cannot abide by them. Sadly no food nearby either so just a bad situation for someone who couldn't possibly know they were not open. read more

IMPORTANT: Never expect them to be open. 5 of the 6 times I've gone here, when, according to Yelp, they were "open" they were closed. Including yesterday. The one time I did go when they were open it was just okay. Please cross this off your list, it's never open and when it is, it's just ok. Obviously it's great that they are so convinent at the beach but you're better off expecting them to be closed and just bring your own food. read more

My girlfriend and I were driving through Newport and looking for some food with a view. Ended up at the jetty where I had the kbbq burger and a lobster roll... AWESOME , home made potato salad insane. Even the veggie burger slapped. 10/10 would recommend. Brian the manager is really doing it up right here. read more

The service was very disengaged. Dude actually turned his back to take my order. So rude. We actually eat here a lot and this was a first. The buffalo cauliflower never disappoints. We tried the beach corn. It was sad. Barely warm on one side and ice cold on the other. Stomach turning. Total lack of concern for putting out a good product. This location is stunning and totally wasted on a group that does not care. Such a shame. You have no competition here and you are wasting an amazing opportunity. Do better! read more

I had the shrimp sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. Staff could use some training on greeting customers and helpfulness. There is covered seating and benches. I was disappointed at that on a Friday at 2 pm on an obviously not busy day they were already out of their lobster sandwich. Birds do try to get your food but their are plenty of signs prohibiting feeding the birds. Please don't feed the birds. read more

Located on the beach of Corona Del Mar... nestled along the sand -- there's this cute little food spot called The Jetty. Everything I've ever ordered has been fresh, and packed with so much flavor! My all time fave is the Shrimp roll. Refreshing, and not too heavy. My hubby had the Korean bbq Hamburger which was delish! Served with seasoned fries and baked chips. Customer service is on point! They are always so friendly and welcoming - they'll even help you decide if you're in that indecisive mood. My hubby and son crawl their RC cars on the hill nearby and it's a perfect joint that hits the spot always! Definitely come visit them soon!! I know I will. read more

After work, walked over to the beach to grab myself dinner. Opted for the shrimp roll and their homemade chips. This is what I call a perfect dinner with a view. Amazingly fresh shrimp sitting on fresh rolls accompanied by crispy housemade potato chips. Food was good and the girl working the register was friendly. Beautiful views that can't be beat. Beware of the birds though. The seagulls snagged my daughter's food and we had to reorder it. BEWARE This location is so convenient when spending the day at Corona Del Mar. the buffalo cauliflower is amazing. Mostly everything we have got here is tasty but definitely pricey. I am giving 3 starts because even the basic things are pricey. Also beware and watch your receipt. My friend had multiple extra charges she would not have been aware of if she chose no printed receipt. We also just learned they will charge .50 just for a few ketchup packs! What is even more concerning is that my friend did not ask for ketchup nor extra sauce, she just noticed a .50 charge for it! She ordered fries but did not ask for ketchup. When she asked what the charge was for given she didn't ask for extra sauce or even ketchup the cashier said they ALWAYS automatically charge .50 cents and routinely don't ask. I mentioned that there is NO sign indicating this up charge and add on and she said "I just work here". I would say beware and check your printed receipt. Also seems like chintzy and non ethical management practices to place these charges and I am sure they make money off this non ethical routine practice!!!!!! read more

Corona Del Mar is one of most beautiful beaches in California. Known for romantic sunsets, rocky landscapes, and a great place to have a beach day! The Jetty is really nice snack bar! They even have lobster rolls. Their hours do vary and I usually visit this beach on slow days when they are close. (It can get busy here on the weekends). Today, my kids wanted a snack! Their favorite go to are fries! We got a 3 orders of side fries! It came out hot, fresh, crispy! We sat on their nice beach red picnic tables and enjoyed our beach day! When you are on a time pinch to pack your snacks and lunch, The Jetty has it all! From brunch to lunch, and an early dinner! We got the shrimp po boy with chips and it was AMAZING. So much flavor & texture. We will definitely be back. Perfect ambiance right on the beach, too. The only thing to note is that parking is quite pricey, but worth it for a little more exclusive beach access. It's $7.50/an hour here. read more

Maine lobster roll, potato salad, New England clam chowder. So good!!! Made from scratch and so worth the (5-10 minutes) wait! Staff was friendly too! There are ~5 picnic tables you can sit at to enjoy your meal, or just take it with you elsewhere and find a spot to sit nearby on the sandy beach. We stopped by after a doctor appointment in the area. Even though it was a cold Sunday morning with lots of wind, our food was hot the whole time... steaming! Friendly cashier as well! We had the French toast, breakfast burrito, and breakfast sandwich. I can't pick a favorite. All I know is I will be back for the lunch menu soon! We got the shrimp po boy, clam chowder, Cali cheesesteak, and Ahi tuna burger. Everything was delicious. My tuna was a little too done, but I tried to eat it because I didn't want to complain and they were busy. But alas, it was just too dry to eat. So I called the store and asked if another could be made on the rare side, and they totally obliged. Almost as soon as I walked back up from the beach, it was ready. They were pretty busy, but the service was amazing! Thank you for making another one that was soooooo delicious. Sometimes with raw tuna, you can get a lot of gristle, but I didn't get that here. And when I asked for a water he responded, "You want another water?" I wasn't even given a water to begin with.

I ordered the shrimp and prosciutto rolls. They offer peanut sauce, hot sauce, and I forgot the 3rd sauce. The staff was friendly and food came out within 10 minutes. Since it is within a food court, there are tables that accommodate parties of varying size in a well-lit area. The rolls were okay. I hate that they used paper as part of their packaging as the rolls stuck to them. I did not think the price was justified given exceptional rolls in O.C. at half the price.
