He said the mix was called Bloody Gerry. It was perfectly spicy, I could have had 12 lol. Food looked great too but I was just there to drink. The ceviche was 7/10- great flavor but could've used some salt and the addition of a jalapeño or Serrano in the ceviche would've really amped it up. Loved the mango and acidity/citrus levels and the microgreens added a nice fresh touch. The poke bowl was ok-- the sauce itself was a bit tomato-y? Fresh fish for sure but could've amped up the flavor in the typical poke way. A little sriracha mayo may have helped. Seemed like the right call. My wife went with the fish tacos, which had a nice crispy exterior, flavorful sauce on top, and came with cilantro rice. She really enjoyed them. I went for the fish sandwich, where you can choose your fish. I picked swordfish and asked for it blackened. Great choice. Good-sized piece of fish, nicely seasoned, served on a brioche bun with a tasty sauce and some decent crispy fries. Simple, fresh and satisfying. It's a casual, mostly self-service setup. Order at the counter, grab your number, find a seat and enjoy the marina. We came around noon on a Wednesday and it wasn't overly crowded, so we were able to kick back, talk and watch people coming and going from their boats. We even snuck in our La La Land drinks from around the corner. Lots of hype over there, but I'll admit, pretty decent drinks. Circle Hook isn't trying to be fancy, and that's part of what works. Good fish, casual atmosphere, beautiful marina views and an easy place to hang out for a while. Sometimes lunch doesn't need to be complicated. Stopped by Circle Hook for lunch and thought it was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Peruvian ceviche, poke bowl, and grilled chicken sandwich, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and well seasoned. The fish in both the ceviche and poke bowl was especially fresh and flavorful. The grilled chicken sandwich was served on Texas toast that was soft, fresh, and perfectly toasted. The poke bowl was just as impressive -- light, fresh, and packed with flavor. Portions were also extremely generous, and the skinny fries on the side were perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. The service was excellent as well. Once we were able to find an open table, which can definitely be a bit of a challenge, the food was brought right out to us. What a find! My buddy recommended this to us as we were staying close by. The food was great and the views were even better! I will say I'd skip the soups, just didn't taste homemade, more commercial. But other than that from the ceviche to the fried basket was delish! I would love to come back and try way more!! Came for drinks on a busy summer Saturday afternoon. The area was bustling but the restaurant itself didn't appear too busy. We sat right away and ordered a cocktail and 2 michiladas. Our wait was way too long. My cocktail came out first which was interesting since mixing a cocktail is more complicated than simply making two michiladas. Love this spot. When we go paddle boarding in weekends we always stop at here for post-paddle lunch! Their chicken sandwich is incredible - the bread really makes it, as do the fried pickles. Perfect combo of juicy chicken, lettuce, tomato, and some sort of delicious aioli. Fries are also incredible - like skinny bistro fries. Their fish Bahn Mi is also amazing!! You can get most any fish they offer prepared how you want for it. I got halibut. Def recommend! Their ceviche is good but comes in sort of an awkward vessel so it's hard to scoop out. Also would be better with like fried wonton chips instead of tortilla chips. Their CRAB CAKE!!! Get the double order. It is so light and delicious and about the size and thickness of a hockey puck with a crispy outer served on top of an unexpected curry sauce. First time dining at Circle Hook, tho I've been to their younger sibling Bearflag dozens of times since they first docked ship on Lido. Decided on Circle Hook for a weekday foursome family early dinner, because we all wanted fish in a casual environment setting, within walking distance. Menus on chalkboards and more signs on the wall, wait in line to place orders, receive a number to place on the table of your choice -- pretty standard system at fish market types of restos. Though the table we chose outside with a view of the harbor was nice, you can feel every footstep made by the passerby's, on the dockside wooden plank floor on a busy walkway. 3 of us chose Halibut but it was kinda dry & chewy.Thankfully the delicious ginger sauce saved it for me because the fish was just okay. We all agreed. Dad's salmon was pretty good. But salmon is salmon and this one was nothing special and basic. Sides: (choice of 2) 3 of us chose mixed herb veggies which were good. But. All the pieces of Brussel sprouts were way too undercooked and nearly raw. Major bummer because I love B spouts. Wifey and stepmom didn't eat theirs. Being the only one who had French fries, I enjoyed them. And so did Dad's & Stepmom's dog -- they took a handful home in a napkin, as Dad always does because he loves to surprise his pup with a little treat of some sort when dining out. (Btw & fyi it's very pup friendly here at Lido Marina Village with lots of dogs everywhere) The cilantro rice was good. The Asian slaw was too sour & salty and taken home to salvage and camouflage into a salad the next day for lunch. Wifey thought her regular slaw was "just okay" and I agree about both slaws. The shrimp ceviche (not pictured) was good but way too spicy for 3 of us 4 -- including me. The blue & yellow corn chips were decent, but not as fresh as they should be. The service was nice and prompt but nothing too memorable. It felt slightly robotic. Wanted to rate this higher, but at a seafood joint, the fish should be the stars of the show. Would I return? Being on Lido Isle for work and choosing a lunch location is such a hard choice! There are so many good spots to choose from. Luckily I was with my best friend and she is familiar with the area. We both wanted seafood and something casual. Next to Nobu is this charming seaport-esque looking restaurant. It has a great view of the marina and boats. It is like a an upscale hole-in-the-wall spot lol. What I mean by that is it is casual dining, but it is still semi boujee. I was craving a soup. Lobster Bisque hit the spot! It was creamy delicious. It had some good pieces of lobster in it too. For my entree -- I ordered the Fish and Chips. They offered either fries or coleslaw or both. Of course I said both! Who doesn't like a good coleslaw and boy, oh, boy... their coleslaw was bomb.com! I personally love coleslaw and this one was one of the best. It was fresh and flavor wasn't overpowered. I am not a fan of mushy and too sweet coleslaw. Parking is always difficult here, but parking garage is always the way to go! There are tables inside and outside with relaxing views of the marina which is one of the main selling points about this place. I tried the Seafood Chowder ($14/10 oz.) and a Crab Cake ($14). The bowl of chowder was tasty and filled to the brim with fish, lobster, crab and potatoes. The crab cake could've been better. It was thin and didn't have a lot of crab. For the non-seafood eaters, they have a Grass-Fed Burger ($19). It was a little over cooked but the tomato aioli and other toppings made up for it. The service was quick and friendly on a Friday afternoon. I would come back on a nice, sunny day to try their fish and chips next time. read more

Had a refreshing mile and yummy fish and chips. The seasoning for the fish - (chefs kiss). Friendly staff. They just need to pay more attention to some of the orders. My cocktail was out before the beers- well, they totally forgot about the beers lol good thing we asked be. I could have been done with my cocktail. Another table had a mix up on their order. Circle Hook is a great casual seafood spot right in Lido Marina Village right on the waterfront. I recently came here with one other person for drinks and snacks. We didn't expect to come here but liked the chill vibe and decided to stay after checking out their menu. They had seafood items such as chowder, crudo, and lobster rolls. We shared some of their calamari and got some wines. All of their fried items are battered here instead of breaded so it's a little different. I thought I wouldn't like it but ending up really enjoying it. For drinks they have beers and wines. The people behind the counter are really nice. You order at the register and they give you a number to bring food out to you. I liked that they checked on us a few times and even cleared out plates after we finished our food and was still drinking. We like to sit outside on the waterfront for the view. It's such a great place to get away. It's worth checking out if you can snag parking. read more

Stopped here on a Sunday night. It wasn't that crowded, plenty of open seating outside. It was a little chilly but they had heaters and offered blankets. The food came out super fast and was hot! We had the calamari friends which were delicious. Their circle hook sauce was so good. Next, we had the baja style fish tacos with cilantro rice. These tacos were pretty big, plenty of food and tasty. We also had the fish and chips which was a good size portion, again. Fries were cooked nicely and the coleslaw was good. Quite a nice find in the Lido. Felt like I was ordering at an upscale dive bar, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Seafood chowder was delicious. Seared ahi salad was slightly overdressed. Beer choices were pretty good. Ate outside on the tables next to the marina - a great view that you don't have to pay an excessive amount for. After consulting with the very friendly, upbeat and polite employee about recommendations, settled on the blue fin tuna, though the halibut came in a close second. Sat at a table by the water for the nice, relaxing view on a gorgeous sunny day. When the food arrived, it was very good. The tuna was fresh and flavorful, the garlic fries had just the right crisp and garlic, and the herb roasted vegetables complimented everything well. Worth checking out on every visit to Lido. They messed up our wheat allergen order and included a side of sauce that was not allergy safe and didn't tell us. We figured this out after it was tasted and found it was soy sauce (which contains wheat) with ginger and a spicy component. Ironically, ordering at the counter the employee told us what contained soy sauce and shouldn't be ordered. The other food wasn't bad besides the allergen issue. But I would not run back here with the other options on the same boardwalk. They have small indoor space and tables on the boardwalk. read more
