Everything was amazing. Delicious from the home made beans the perfectly made ric. Great combination dishes. From the asada hard shell taco and red asada enchiladas with a pork tamale with green sauce. What got me was the pastor nachos, it was by far the best meat I have ever tasted. I highly recommend this place. And the food came out fast. This restaurant knows what they are doing. I can't wait to go back.

So whale watching was on the list this early am but breakfast was not, at least not yet...so yelped helped with that. Stopped and checked out the menu for this joint in New Port Beach. Saw a dish, figured I'd give it a try. Delicious omelette. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great customer service and great atmosphere for a nice early am Mexican breakfast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you Great Mex!!!!

3 time special (chicken flautas and bean and cheese burrito)

I think this is officially becoming my favorite fast casual Mexican food spot in OC. I ordered on Door Dash this past week and got the 3 item special. The bean and cheese burrito was huge! The chicken flautas had a small side of sour cream and guacamole to dip which was great. The cheese enchilada was disappointing as it appeared over cooked. I'm not sure if it would have tasted different ordering in restaurant opposed to take out. Regardless, they are always very good about providing a bag of chips and one each on the salsas which is super appreciated because you cannot rely on delivery drivers to pick out salsa for you.

Popped in here in our last day of vacation and I am SO glad we did. I had been craving Mexican and wanted one final good meal before heading back home, and this place was legit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's small inside, I was a little nervous about seating, but people seemed to dine and leave rather quickly so we managed to get a spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My mom ordered the quesadilla and it was HUGE. Delicious and more than enough to share. My cheese enchiladas were simple but perfect. Even both my kids devoured their enchiladas. If you're looking for fast and good food, this place is it.

I guess I'm a good snob when it comes to Mex food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon walking in, we had to wipe down our own table that was filled with stains.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yikes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't super crowded so I'd expect it to be cleaner, than not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have so, so many options and when I rank them, I rate based on food quality to cost as my ratio just because the options available. Ordered the shrimp burrito with cabbage and a cream slaw (does not come with beans or rice) $14 And the asada bowl (which has steak, grilled vegis, and beans at the bottom), that was tasty) $18. The food is good - ish. More like 3.5 stars but we were greeted with a a nice lady with some chips. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but maybe it's the best for the area?

Whole in the wall in Newport Beach. We stopped in after a whale watching cruise, but it did seem like a mix of locals and tourists. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very casual and not a fancy atmosphere, but the food speaks for itself in terms of value, quality and authenticity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have specials on Tuesday and Friday for $2 and $2.75 tacos. My sister and I both got 3 tacos each and a larger order of chips and guacamole. It was more than enough food for a relatively inexpensive lunch! The staff were very friendly, happy to answer menu questions and efficient.

Quick stop as I was in the area. The fried fish tacos have always been a favorite of mine when I come down here. Ordered 2, one for myself and one for my brother. The sauce was flavorful and not overly powerful. Cabbage, pico, sauce and some hot salsa make a good taco. Wait wasn't too bad either though they got busy right after we ordered. Good spot and will continue to visit when I come to the beach.

It wasn't overly sweet like a lot of brunch spots tend to do. The balance was just right, letting the flavors shine without feeling like dessert for breakfast. The blueberries, maple syrup, and cream brought everything together perfectly. The spicy shrimp pasta was equally impressive. It had a great kick to it, but the spice didn't overpower the dish. You could still taste all the flavors of the pasta, shrimp, and sauce. That's a rare thing because too many places mistake heat for flavor. Great Maple got it right. The restaurant was very busy, which is usually a good sign, but despite the crowd, the service never slipped. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly. If I had one minor complaint, it's that the popularity means you should expect a wait during peak hours. But after eating here, it's easy to understand why it's packed. Excellent food, attentive service, and a brunch experience that's worth coming back for. Human beings may disagree on politics, sports, and whether pineapple belongs on pizza, but Great Maple serving great food feels like one of the easier things to agree on.

The ambiance and design of this restaurant feels very home-y and welcoming. The entire place had full of life and is very clean. Our server today is Matt and he did an amazing job taking care of us. Very respectful and mindful and was happy to serve us which is a huge plus for me as customer service is also a defining factor for dining in my book. My family and I ordered a variety of dishes however I will be writing based on what I ordered personally / shared with and have eaten. Brew Bears - Cinnamon Toast (4/5): Our server Matt recommended this to me so I decided to order it to try it out. The drink comes in a small bear shape cup and had a soft and fluffy maple syrup + cinnamon foam. The drink is good and not too sweet which is a plus. Only downside is that the drink is fairly small and for $10, I would at least expect it to be in a larger size. Famous Maple Bacon Donuts (5/5): These were delicious! Very soft and fluffy; the maple glaze is sweet and gooey, and the bacon has a nice smoke to it which complimented the sweet maple notes. The donuts were clearly freshly made which we really appreciate. Be careful though as my family and I ordered 3 orders (3 pcs / order) and didn't realize how big each donut is! It is very filling and might make you too full for the other dishes if you normally don't eat a lot. Mac and Cheese (3.5/5): I ordered this alongside both the chili bacon bits and shrimp add-ons. The Mac and cheese came with spiral shaped pasta with a panko crust and white cheese. The overall taste to me is decent; nothing that really stood out to me but it was still good. The amount of shrimp provided vs the cost for the add-on (+$7) wasn't worth it for the small pieces and overall portion. I did also get some fettuccini pasta noodles towards the bottom of the dish which threw me off. Not sure if that's intended or by accident. Parmesan Truffle Fries (5/5): The fries we ordered came in hot and fresh with a side of ketchup. There was ALOT of flavor and you can really taste the truffle. The texture for the fries was nice and crispy to perfection. Overall, we did have a great experience and I do see myself coming back some time in the future. I would probably change up a few orders to try different things out.

Think Urban Plates, but with a sharper focus on lighter eating. The avocado caesar salad with grilled tofu is amazing. The avocado adds a different kind of creaminess to the dressing than a traditional caesar, and the tofu is firm and substantial. The produce quality is noticeably good across the board. My boyfriend had the Thai Wrap and enjoyed it. The vegan options here are solid and varied. Service is reasonable, slower than fast food, but nothing that tests you. I ordered the shrimp and prosciutto rolls. They offer peanut sauce, hot sauce, and I forgot the 3rd sauce. The staff was friendly and food came out within 10 minutes. Since it is within a food court, there are tables that accommodate parties of varying size in a well-lit area. The rolls were okay. I hate that they used paper as part of their packaging as the rolls stuck to them. I did not think the price was justified given exceptional rolls in O.C. at half the price.
