The wait time has increased dramatically in the past few months (and I've been going here for over a year). I used to be able to walk in, wait 3 or so minutes for a few people ahead of me, get adjusted, and be on my way. Now, almost any time of day I walk in, there is at least a 30 minute wait, to the point of people sitting in plastic chairs that have been brought out. Today, I just called in and was told there was a 45 minute wait. I subscribed for the convenience of walking in and it being a national chain. If the wait time does not improve, I will not be renewing. read more

I called to ask for the fax number so I could send over new patient forms for my significant other, who wanted to become a new patient there. Dana picks up the phone I ask her if I could have the fax number and she says " fax number? For??" I mean obviously I wanted to fax something over... I say to send new patient forms. She sounds puzzle and ask why? I say can I just get your fax number which she replies oh well I have to look for it. At this point I'm upset and ask her for the managers name and she says I am the manager.... I'm surprised that the manager would speak to a potential new patient that way... but the BEST part is when she hung up on me... Is so hard to ask know or look up your office fax number???? Whoever owns this franchise should really have higher standards when hiring there. Needless to say I made a appointment at a different doctor. read more

I'm a registered nurse with back problems in my C and L spine. I'm not quite sure how this Joint chain is doing well but spending only 2-3 minutes of half-a$$ "adjusting" and expecting us to pay them hefty amount of money for it baffles me. I was also never told that they will automatically take money out of my account if i don't cancel my membership after paying the first 2 months. Not only was I disappointed with their service but they were taking more money out of my account! Be careful signing up with them!! My fiancé had been going to a chiropractor in Centreville, but when we moved to Alexandria, we didn't know where to start to find him a new one. We just happened to be passing by one day and saw they were having their grand opening back in October, so we decided to stop in. Immediately we were greeted pleasantly by the staff. They proceeded to tell us about their packages and even gave my fiancé a complimentary adjustment. I was wowed by how affordable they were considering at the other chiropractor we were going to, they charged $45 per visit whereas for a few dollars more a month my fiancé can walk in 4 times a month at his leisure. For a couple always on the go with busy schedules, this is a life saver. Brie at the front desk always has a smile on her face and makes sure everything is taken care of. I can honestly say that about all the staff we have come across. They definitely get 5 stars, because I'm certainly impressed! I'm glad we stumbled upon them and would definitely recommend them to anyone! read more

After canceling my membership with them I decided to change my ATM card just to be on the safe side. But guess what! They got through my bank and withdraw more money again. A word of warning for anyone considering buying a membership to The Joint at Bradlee Center. Joining is easy, but cancelling is difficult. My wife and I joined three years ago under a family membership. That was the easy part. Recently, my wife decided to cancel her membership so I requested a "Cancellation of Membership Notice" form the last time I was in the office so I could take it home for her to complete. At first I was told only she could request the form and would have to come in the office herself to obtain it. I insisted, and eventually they relented and gave me the blank form. Today, I stopped in to drop off the form but was refused. I was told only she could turn in the form, and when she did she would have to explain to the chiropractor on duty why she is cancelling her membership. I explained that we had a family membership, that she had completed and signed the form (including a written explanation for her reason for cancellation), and they could call her if they wanted to confirm that but she was not going to take time off of work to deliver the form in person. They replied that if I left the form there it would be shredded and not processed. No nice! read more

This location is the BEST Joint Chiropractic I've been to. I travel a lot, and have experienced many others, but Dr. Jordan (all the Doctors), as well as the administrative staff, are nothing short of knowledgeable, kind, incredibly caring and take exceptional care of me. Each Dr. has taken the time to assess me for that specific visit, making sure to tailor my experience for how I am feeling at that moment. The initial consultation was thorough and I've never been anything less than impressed. For today, October 6, 2019. I walk in at 12ish, over an hour wait...so it was recommended that I come back around 3pm. I returned at around 2:45 pm and the wait was projected to be approximately 40 minutes. I stated that I will wait this time since it did not make sense for me to come back for a 3rd time. I see two more patients that scanned in after me and are called to the back...Then the receptionist states, Oh I'm sorry, I thought you left...when I was sitting in the waiting area the entire time. Unacceptable! It appears the service and wait time is progressively worse as time goes on...I'm probably going to cancel my annual subscription after this year...and go back to pay as I go...At times it can be convenient to walk in, but if I have to wait for more than 30 minutes for a 3-4 minute adjustment, I may go back to a regular chiropractor that take confirmed appointments. I came in today for an adjustment and it was pretty busy....I am fine with that, what I was not fine with is people who came in after me were going in to see the doctor before me. I sat there and after a few people who came in after me I asked the receptionist how many people are ahead of me she said 3....meaning she absolutely forgot to check me in. I've had a love/hate relationship with this location for a long time. Getting in and out of the parking lot is usually a hassle and on the weekends there's always an unnecessarily long wait because the doctor spends more time trying to up sell services to patients than adjusting them but life is always so hectic I like being able to drop in without an appointment. This location isn't close to me either but it is the closest option. So I've continued to make the drive up to this point. Today I drove about 90 minutes out of may way to drop in because my back has really been bothering me and I'd been putting off going because, life (never enough time for anything let alone driving way out of my way to the chiro!). The parking lot was a mess as usual so I parked far away and had to lug my baby and car seat across the parking lot in the pouring rain. When I got to the office I noticed a different receptionist than usual, Kristen/Kristin. There were two people a head of me. They were called back almost immediately after I arrived and I was next in the cue. Then the doctor called someone else back. I didn't say anything and until the other doctor became available the receptionist called yet another person back that wasn't me. I stood up and she said "oh wait". I informed her I was here before the other patient too. Kristen/Kristin's response was that certain doctors see certain patients. Soooooo..... if I request a specific doctor instead of possibly having to wait longer because of my preference, I get to cut in front of everyone? Well, had I only known the policy, I'd have been requesting specific doctors since I first walked into a Joint practice 7 years ago! I asked her to add my visit back to my account so I could leave. She informed me I'd be seen in two minutes if I just waited. I easily stood there speaking with her for two minutes and I still didn't get called back. So I left. The man who initially cut in front of me was well aware that I was there first and went up to the desk and had a conversation with the receptionist about which doctor he wanted to see and she called him immediately after that. There was definitely some preferential treatment. I called after I left to avoid making a scene in front of anyone and asked to be refunded a prorated version of my remaining visits as I would not be driving 90 minutes out of my way to not be seen again. She refused to do so and told me that I could just choose not use those visits. Then offered me a complimentary visit. While I appreciate that offer I do not want to return to the practice due to the HUGE inconvenience. I asked to speak with a manager and she said there was no manager, that she'd leave a message for the owners to call me and I might hear from them in three days. She also had to ask me for my name and information twice while in the office and two more times while on the phone. Customer service and organizational skills are clearly an issue at this practice. While the joint has its conveniences be cautious before purchasing large packages because you might get stuck! read more

After about a year and a half of suffering through creepy chiros and some chiros that just didn't give a damn, a friend told me about The Joint. I was skeptical of the idea of just walking in and not having an appointment, and also about just having a quick session (I was used to appointments of about 30 to 60 minutes). But quickly I realized that the chiropractors at The Joint are the real deal. While they are fast, they get the job done! The best thing though is that if you're out of town and have an issue - like I did recently on a trip to TX - you can just pop into any location! Your records are already in the system! The doctors are very good. But they sell you on the idea that you show up, get adjusted and leave like it's a gym membership. No fuss. But the reality is that you wait for ridiculous amounts of time. Today, I came and it's a 25 min wait. Previously it's been as much as a few hours. If a new customer comes, they will get the full service treatment while you wait and hope they adjust before midnight. Paying customers take a backseat to prospective clients. read more

The doctors also love to help you out anyway possible, after one appointment one was able to give me lifting advice because I have always had problems with my knees. I went to The Joint Chiropractic today after finally getting time to be able to stop by. Upon my arrival I let the receptionist know that I was a new patient and she gave me the paperwork to fill out. I filled out all of their paperwork, which is quite a lot of paperwork, and it took me 22 minutes and I generally fill out paperwork pretty quickly. When I get to the desk another receptionist is sitting there and proceeds to ask me what time I arrived and the other receptionist tells her 6:38pm. She then decides that she needs to tell me in the future new patients should arrive at 6:15pm in order to be seen but I will still be seen today. At this point I've already made up in my mind I'm not coming back because she chose to chastise me for my arrival time. I'm never going to be a new patient again so why are you even telling me this. The receptionist then tells me after talking to the doctors they have prior engagements and they do not have time to see me. If I arrived too late to be seen this should have been stated when I walked in but you wait til after I've filled out paperwork for 22 minutes to tell me that I need to come back. When I told them that I wasn't coming back then they offered to go ahead and see me but at that point No Thank You. If this is how you train your receptionist to show your first impressions of the level of service and intellingence that is going to be provided I do not trust you to work on one of the most important things in my body. read more

The doctor adjusted my back quickly in the center of my back (after I stretch this spot cracks on its own so not a feat), pushed a couple of times on my hindquarters and made a feeble and fruitless attempt to adjust my lower back. This place is garbage. In my experience they spend virtually no time looking at your records before starting to crack your neck or back or whatever is hurting. What's the point of the initial exam if they don't look at your records during follow up visits? I could understand if it's only one person that ever does your adjustments, but you get whoever is there on that day and it seems like the 'chiropractors' rotate frequently. I've seen at least 4 different 'chiropractors' in the 2 months I was a patient. Not only does that seem unsafe, but the adjustments did nothing to alleviate the neck and back pain I was having so I chose to cancel my membership. Canceling your membership is also a pain. Not knowing the exact process of canceling my membership, I Googled 'The Joint' which took me to The Joint's website at https://www.thejoint.com/. I sent them 2 emails and called and left a voicemail hoping to get info on canceling my membership but never heard back so I put a stop on my credit card so they couldn't charge me anymore. I did some more Googling and found that I need to call my home office. I called them and they said they tried to charge my account that day but the charge was rejected. I told them why, and even though I didn't received any treatment the entire previous month and I've been trying to get in touch with them through their website about canceling well before my payment was due, they told me I'd have to pay for that month before I'm allowed to cancel. The treatment is awful and the customer service is awful. Not worth a dime, much less the $960/year it costs. Save your money and go to a real chiropractor that genuinely cares about your health. read more
