Dr Cates is not just a Chiropractor he cares about you, when you visit a Dr you dont always remember what they say but do remember how they make you feel. Initially signed up for wellness plan, was told unused visits would roll over. Now that I cancelled my plan now I'm told all my other unused check up are gone and I only have 3 days to use what I have left ..That is ridiculous! Brian in the front office is very professional and kind, helped me get through the initial checking in and setting up my new account. Love the business hours and the fact that there are so many locations, when you sign up, you can go to any one of over 400. Thumbs up for The Joint! I was driving by and by chance saw their store sign, later that evening I did some online research. I liked what I read, this was a new approach to affordable, convenient chiropractic care. I stopped by the first opportunity I had. The office was new, clean and neat. I filled out the necessary paperwork and decided to give it a go! It was then that I met Dr. Rodrigues for my initial consultation. He was very professional, listened to my input and shared with me some of his background. He's a great Doctor and he knows his stuff, within minutes I had a long overdue and outstanding adjustment! Fortunately in my case I don't have any back issues, I'm just a believer in chiropractic and a regular weekly adjustment. I normally don't leave reviews for places but I am very disappointed with this place. I was a first time patient and came here to seek some chiropractic needs. I believe I spoke with Dr. Rodriguez who after looking at my first time patient forms had asked me what the reason for my visit was which was not due to any accident or injury at all. The Doctor advised me to get my past xrays and asked me to come back tomorrow. I advised him that my time off of work was hard to get so instead of waiting I drove to Hoag in Newport to pick up the xrays Mr. Rodriguez asked me to obtain. After I drove there and back to this location. Mr. Rodriguez then advised me that their desktops were not equipped with a cd reader. Mind you he asked me specifically to obtain a copy of the "disc". After realizing he couldn't read my X-ray he then advised me that the X-ray I had was for soft tissue and not my actual bones. I am still in pain and didn't have any work done. A COMPLETE waste of time and will never go back to any Joint location. If I could give a zero star rating I would have chose that option. read more

I've been a client for couple of months and I've been getting a good service. I'm a veteran and was told to sign up since it will help me with my back issues and any other issues I may have. I was also told every visit would be $25 and everything has been good so far. Today I went to the Brea office and was told off that I was wrong all around and that Santa Ana office has been telling me false info. So I called Santa Ana and changed their whole story around saying they never said it was discounted for veterans and that only the membership was discounted. I felt so stupid after hearing this and furious. The doctors even said they would accommodate for every visit and now turned around telling me whole non-sense. I usually don't like to write reviews on Yelp, but this really pissed me off and don't screw around with words that you guys are not going to promise. read more

As a student-athlete I have found my routine visits at The Joint Chiropractic essential to my success in sport and in life. A couple months ago I was hindered by injury due to poor running mechanics. After two months of commitment to weekly visits I realized I was making good progress and my running form was flowing more smoothly. I did my part in getting the adjustments and supplementing my training with strength training and form drills. At first I thought $17 a visit was way too cheap for a good chiropractor, but I went in anyway because I really needed my ankle to be popped back in place. I'm on my 5th session with Dr.steven and everytime I feel better. They close at 7 p.m, but im off of work at 630 and doctor Steven takes the time to take me in with a huge smile on his face. This place is amazing! I had never been to a chiropractor before. I originally visited to take my 5 month old to be adjusted. I wanted to check the place out and meet the doctor and get a feel to see if it was somewhere I'd feel comfortable letting my son get adjusted. Dr. Cates was very friendly and informative. It turns out my son was fine and didn't need an adjustment. That right there made me feel like they were there to help and not out to get my money. The location was very clean and professional. I did not get any negative vibe from anything or anyone! I ended up getting an adjustment (on my own accord, never felt pushed!) and I'm so glad I did! I just signed up for a membership recently and love my experience every time I come in. Katie, one of the front desk staff, is friendly and accommodating. It's walk in only and the wait is always immediate or short and you can call in ahead of time to see what the availability looks like if you're coming at a time you think others may be getting off work and coming in but, it's never been an issue for me. Dr. Rodrigues (s not a z! He's Portuguese!) is amazing. He takes his time with me, educates me, and the adjustments are pain free and feel great. I walk in there stiff and heavy and leave feeling energized, relaxed, and tall. Dr. Rodrigues works for the franchise location part time but also has his own practice in Long Beach. Every adjustment with him feels like I'm getting a private practice treatment and Dr. Rodrigues is very pro-patient. He's also educational and has given me tips and thoughtful advice that I've applied and gotten results from. For the price, in my opinion, this can't be beat. Without insurance, I'm paying $18 a visit with a monthly package of 4 visits per month. Any additional in the month after 4 only cost me $10 each. I don't know how they make money but I'm glad they figured out how because these walk ins are something I've started looking forward to every week. i went here a couple months back. ive had back issues for as long as i can remember and thought it was time to check out a chiropractor. seeing as they are down the street from where i lived i stopped by. the first time i went i felt good, not great but did get extremely sore the next day. about a week later i went in for my second visit. again, felt good right after but the next day was so miserable. i decided i didnt want to go again and would rather let the extra session i had paid go to waste. my back pain got a lot worse and i went to a recommended chiropractor who worked wonders on my back. he let me know i was probably getting worse because the joint never warmed up my back prior to adjusting me. now im paying literally hundreds of dollars trying to get back to how my back was before the two sessions with the joint. apart from their "adjustment" hurting me more than helping, they automatically charged my card for 69 dollars. at the time they charged i had no idea who charged my account since i never gave them permission to have reoccurring payments on my card. i reported it to my bank and they took care of it on my end. just now i found out it was the joint trying to charge me when i havent been there in legit months. i refuse to call you back nor update my card info with you. SERIOUSLY BE CAREFUL GUYS! pay cash if you even bother coming here. look for a real chiropractor. you truly pay for what you get here. not worth a penny. read more
