That said, if you're in a pinch and just need something quick and cheap, the prices are right. Personally, I'd probably spend a few extra dollars elsewhere for better quality, but it works for what it is. Their Red Tiki beer on draft isn't bad, but I'm a little unsure about how often the lines are cleaned. A few times the beer tasted slightly stale and wasn't as frosty as it should be. Service can also be hit or miss. When the bar gets busy, things slow down quite a bit since there usually aren't many bartenders working at once. Okay I saw this place on Facebook and it looked interesting So on a Sunday afternoon we decided to take the trip from Clearwater. Great advertising by the way on Facebook! Haha. The looks on the outside a little discerning. However if you get to the back they actually have quite a bit of parking and the tiki bar is very cool. We decided to go inside to check out the food. Inside the decor is definitely tiki. Love it! Bartender was friendly and told us really the best day to come is on a Tuesday. The kitchen was just about closing so we ordered food right away. Hubby got a double cheeseburger along with his uncle. I got the Thai chili wings. We got a bucket of beer which is the most expensive thing on the menu. Food is cheap and I mean cheap! It came out and I was amazed! Everything looked great. Wish we could have checked out more of the menu but we will definitely come back on a Tuesday or a Friday. There is a nice outside area with seating and a 2nd bar that seems like it would be a cool spot to chill but I haven't been there yet when it's been open. Located this place by recommendation of great tacos on Taco Tuesday and no doubt it's the place to be. Three tacos for $3.75. Beef only, but hard or soft and comes with lettuce, tomato and cheese if I remember correctly. Then, check out their menu which has to be the lowest cost I have seen for a bar menu ever. I have tried the burger and the wings and both were excellent. And again, the value alone is worth he stop. Definitely a hidden gem. Our bartender was so helpful and personable. It was my first time so she gave me a tour. There's a huge outdoor space in the back and the inside is pretty roomy too. Local watering spot with great drink prices! The thing that impressed me most was the heart - felt enthusiastic owner ( Seth) with a hands on approach with his customers. He gave me a tour/ history of the bar and the new exciting improvements that are coming soonish! They are working on a menu but offer a food tent on Tuesdays/ Thursday with a $1 menu. All the proceeds go to the National Kidney Foundation of Florida! Wow! Shout out for this! They were the biggest contributors in the last 2 years! They front of the Red Tiki doesn't look like much but you'll be surprised about the paved parking in back and outside tiki area. This is a non- smoking bar which is a plus for me. Really wanted to like this place, but there's a difference between a good dive bar and a dump. This place is a DUMP. Even with the bar less than half full on multiple Sat evenings, the outside bartender was inattentive, slow, and appeared spaced out on something so I went inside and the service was just as bad. The overwhelming urine stench from the men's room in the inside bar was disgusting. Patrons were also observed urinating near the outdoor tables so there's a stench out there as well. The owner, who was present on both visits, seemed oblivious and during one visit was noticably impaired. Pretty amazed this place is still in business. read more
