Long line on a busy summer day but worth it! We took a day trip to Nantucket and got this ice cream on the way back to the ferry and it hit the spot. As most things in Nantucket, it wasn't cheap ice cream, but it was so creamy and flavor was perfect! It's a tight space, but you order at the counter and are on your way pretty quickly.

Tourist trap but had to go since locals recommended it. Good (but not amazing) quality ice cream! The inside is small but operations ran smoothly. There is only room for a few people inside and the rest of the line wraps around the building outside so it always looks like they're busier than they are. We ordered two-scoop cup of hot caramel and Oreo plus another two-scoop cup of pistachio for $28. You could stop at the grocery store and get 6 pints of the same but you're paying for the experience and service and the Insta opportunities so you decide whether this gives you value.

Very good ice cream! Once there is mint Oreo, I'm getting it! Also paid $3.50 extra to get the homemade waffle cone. All together it was $12 for a scoop in the cone but was worth it!

My sister and I LOVE ice cream! The Juice Bar would not stop popping up for us on highly recommended places but was told there would be a wait. I must say I would totally understand not wanting to wait for ice cream but when we went middle of the summer we went sort of mid-day, little after lunch and only had to wait 5-10 minutes and it wasn't terrible! I would recommend going earlier and not closer to the evening. I forgot what we ordered but everything we tried was delicious! It was a cute little ice cream shop but it's definitely a quick grab & go! There aren't places to sit and eat inside.

So many flavors it was hard to choose from! All their ice cream is homemade and everything was delicious. I got their brownie a la mode flavor in a sugar cone and loved it. The ice cream base was delicious and had brownie pieces mixed in which I loved. It melts fast so be prepared to eat quickly or have napkins ready to go! There was a line to order but it moved quickly. Definitely worth trying!

Great ice cream in delicious homemade waffle cones! I loved the cookies and cream flavor. The cookie dough wasn't bad either. Lines are long but they move very quickly! Helped in part by the fact they don't allow sampling. Highly recommend!

Welcome to Nantucket. No seriously... this is one of the first places right off the ferry. Yes, it's expensive, but there's some aspects that are well worth the price. First the smoothies... it's a toss up between watermelon cream or the razz. They're both ridiculously good -if you like sweet, how with the watermelon, the razz is a perfect level of tart. The ice cream is pretty good and they have your staples like chocolate, and some more niche flavors like Cookie Butt. Try it. It's great. The line is more manageable around lunch... but around dinner it's going strong until 10. But don't worry, it moves fast; however, there will inevitably be a family mid meltdown during one of your visits. At least it keeps the wait interesting!

You can't go to Nantucket without stopping at the Juice Bar! The line moves quickly and you're greeted by the scents of freshly made waffle cones and bowls. The selection of homemade flavors is endless. My go to for decades has been triple chocolate mountain ! Dont skip this spot!!

Very popular spot in downtown for ice cream. Pretty much everyone knows that juice bar is the place for dessert. I was able to go when there was no line right after lunch. I got a waffle cone with strawberry and cookies n cream. Asked for a cup since I knew the ice cream would immediately melt right as I stepped outside. The worker knew exactly what I meant when I asked for a cup. He gave me spoons as well. There is really no room for anyone to stay inside to enjoy their dessert. It is quite lively and bustling. They are a busy business and try to keep the customers go in and out efficiently. It isn't the best ice cream, but a nice spot for dessert. Not a must have if the line stretches out and curves around the block. When you walk around, you see everyone with either a cup or cone from The Juice Bar. Like everything on Nantucket, this isn't cheap, but most dessert shop ice cream isn't cheaper than buying it at a grocery store. Go for the instagram shot or Yelp/Google photo and make the most of the moment.

The perfect Nantucket treat! This store has a line always and for a good reason. You can smell the waffle cones being made from blocks away, and it's worth the price to try it! The ice cream is fresh and some of the best in Cape Cod. It's pricy, but worth it!

Some of the best tasting ice cream I've ever had. They also had a great variety breaking outside the normal flavors.

Ohhhh so no one was exaggerating when they said this spot serves literally the best ice cream ever. We were in town for 3 days and we went every. single. day. I don't normally have so much ice cream in my diet but when you're in Nantucket, this is definitely a must. Ugh I'm still dreaming about it! Not a tourist trap at all, and certainly worth the hype. Each time we swung by in the afternoon (around 2-4pm), the line was never crazy and it goes fast. We'd wait about 10 min max. Unfortunately they don't do samples here but FORTUNATELY any flavor you get will be amazing. We tried 6 different scoops between our 3 visits and each of them were so damn good. Coffee Oreo, coconut, pistachio, strawberry dark chocolate chip, the Carl, Almond Joy... would recommend them all. There's just something about the consistency of the texture and how they get the flavors so good. Miss you, Juice Bar. Hope to visit again soon.

For $8 you a kids cup. Today each flavor we got was like soup. I still don't get the allure. Other options for ice cream are available.

But... the silver lining, if there is one, is that the owners of Foggy Nantucket are now exercising their foodie finesse and mad kitchen skills at SnACKle, a tiny, but mighty, snack bar right next to the fast ferry. It's a shame that they don't have space, yet, to make their beautiful barbecue and pizzas from scratch using tomatoes and basil grown from their own garden. We will miss those. But they do have those awesome salads on the menu (we've always marveled at the CIA-level knife work on display there, the homemade dressings), good-lookin' sandwiches, specialty hot dogs (kimchi dogs!), ice cream, warm chocolate covered strawberries, soups, well-curated charcuterie, frozen lemonade with popping boba, some beautiful cakes and pastries, etc... There must be more deliciousness per cubic inch here than almost anywhere else in the world, I imagine. :) With these talented chefs in the kitchen and their true commitment to quality food, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu.

Now... everything is going to cost you a pretty penny, but that's Nantucket life for you. In June, you can pick your own strawberries. They offer up breakfast sandwiches, lunch options, they even have daily dinner specials like roast turkey one night and a tri-tip another. Some items are great, somethings are ok and somethings are eh? For a one stop shop though, this place is it. A few things: I don't love the donuts, Bake Shop is way better. The lobster salad is delicious. The sammies? They're fine, Something Natural or Henry's are better options, but they suffice. The cookies are incredible. Their dips, their salads - all so good. The produce? I spend all my money on their tomatoes. Anything they grow, you should buy, anything they don't grow is way overpriced. If you have kids, they have a nice little play structure right by the picnic tables (about 6-8 picnic tables) which is fun for my 3 year old, but also my 7 year old. With that, Bartlett's is a Nantucket legend and we must all bow down to Queen B.

There are times when I regret recommending the Lemon Press to so many people because it's become so…read moredarned crowded. Darn me and my big mouth. And darn other people and their big mouths! I'm shaking my fist at all of us! The good news for those of us who are bad at planning ahead is that it's walk-in only for breakfast and lunch. (Compare and contrast to certain Nantucket restaurants that must be reserved weeks or even months in advance.) At Lemon Press, you can reserve for dinner in the dining room downstairs, and I suspect it's a good idea to do so nowadays. During the day, wait times, especially for two-tops, at the upstairs cafe are not usually unbearable. I'll admit that at first I only recommended the restaurant to those with bland palates (like my otherwise wonderful MIL). But since Chef Lyall Frosler began heading up the kitchen in early 2025, the food has been excellent and anything but bland. At a recent meal, the Nantucket Bay Scallop Wraps ($29; bibb lettuce, pickled onions, bacon, scallops, Aleppo aioli, shirazi salad) included extremely fresh, sweet, tiny bay scallops, cooked to a perfect temperature; crisp (not rubbery) lardons; beautifully fresh lettuce; flavorful seasoned tomatoes (I guess a functional sub for shirazi salad). The aioli was pleasantly spicy, not over exuberantly glopped on. A Chicken Gyro ($19; tzatziki, hummus, shirazi, greens, pickled onion, Persian pickle, feta, tahini) was made with very moist, tender chicken, not the most flavorful by itself, but well paired with a wealth of flavorful garnishes. The chicken was sliced in pieces that were a bit too large and unwieldy to consume easily as a wrap; this would be better as knife and fork food. I think shirazi was once again just tomato with possibly a bit of onion, but nicely seasoned. The bits of Persian pickles on the plate were wonderful. A Breakfast Burrito with sausage ($19; eggs, potatoes or duck hash (+$4), cheddar, peppers, onions, Aleppo aioli, hot sauce) was quite a fun, spicy wake-up call for your mouth. Nothing bland about it. And of course we've very much enjoyed all the snacks and goodies we've had from Lemon Press at various events they've catered: crisp, flavorful falafel; lobster rolls; crostinis; grape leaves; tiny pastries with whipped feta. The cafe is absolutely charming inside, with beautiful wallpaper, vines growing from glass planters suspended from the ceiling, and jars of sumac salt on each table. (The Progeny couldn't stop eating this stuff by the spoonful.) The upstairs bathrooms are very narrow and, while not filthy on a recent visit, could definitely have been better maintained. Wait staff have been completely incredible on our visits, especially the lovely young woman who could be of Persian descent (I'm guessing in part b/c she pronounced "sumac" with an emphasis on the second syllable as Persian and Arabic speakers do instead of on the first syllable as native English speakers do). She and her colleagues work their tails off, though the restaurant is so busy, there can still be long wait times for food. Bottom line? DON'T GO! Stop taking my table, alright?
