If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The manager was really combative and rude!! He was not accommodating at all. My group of family that I was with tried to explain our issue and he completely brushed it off. We got to the restaurant at 7 and didn't get food until 830 and on top of that some of the food was cold. 0/10 not a good experience and I feel as though the "manager" should have handled it better. Just left the juicy crab. First off the vibe was totally cool. Chris M was our server and he was very polite and treated me and my dad good friends. He gave us delicious mozzarella sticks and a lava cake that I too full to try. He also complimented by drawing of the crawfish consumer. I'm a juicy crab girl throwing through. My go to order is definitely a pound of black muscles juicy special medium spice with a ton of lemon. If I'm feeling fancy, I'll also get the oysters with the same seasoning as some horseradish. I was very excited once they opened one closer to me, I'm there far too frequently. As a person who truly enjoys the brand this location will always have me fully in avoidance of them. To wait over 40 minutes for appetizers and almost 30 minutes for drinks from the bar (that were really good actually ) is completely unacceptable. To sit in a place for a hour and wonder and wait should fully be discussed. The host were sitting on the floor behind the stand talking amongst themselves and on the phone. We were told our food was behind due to a 20 top, meanwhile the restaurant was no where near full, SEVERAL guests were turned away and given the same excuse. We were never able to identify a manager, we never received a manager visit or saw a manager on the floor. This was super disappointing and absolutely unacceptable! The music that was playing was well diverse and great however did not match the mood of the situation. This is the second time trying out this location and there will not be a third. I love the juicy crab so much but I'm not willing to settle for this type of service. The manager Desmond avoided talking to us like the plague. I'm not sure if the process of selecting management but My suggestion would be travel further for better. I know the Camp Creek location is pretty good! read more

Oct'22 Place just opened up recently , u can tell , staff still figuring out their responsibilities and roles :) The cool Juicy Crab bar area is still being assembled. Staff are working v hard and friendly. Menu is classic unchanged The JC. All your seafood combos, 'Something Fried' options, and larger Juicy Combo's present. Do wanna come back on my next trip back to Decatur, and see the progressions. And hopefully re-review. Bathrooms were pristine btw. I was dining alone, just wrapped up me work @ Decatur office, and really wanted to partake and remember the 'cooler' Decatur area from my youth (insert monkey emoji covering eyes :/ Make sure to order w 'Juicy Special', Extra Hot Sauce. I went back. The large TV at the bar has been repaired. The service was prompt. As usual the food and drinks were delicious.

I tried to give this place a chance..Religiously eat at this location and I never know what to expect. Between the workers and the food quality. The proximity is the only convenience but if the quality of the food will continue to diminish definitely don't recommend. I understand there can be natural barnacles etc, but to serve this is just embarrassing. Tasted tainted too. Will be making my longer commute going forward. read more

Very nice place, they truly renovated it well. But the service and the food were sub par. Ordered the Whiting basket, and it took forever to get ketchup. The upharge of onion rings were by then cold. The whiting came out full of crust, was doughy, greasy...and bland. Captain D's fish is better. The bag of a crab leg cluster and shrimp was OK . The seasoning from the bag was the best part of the meal. Loud music blasting like at a night club. Won't be back. Hands down Rockin Crab is way better! read more

Party of 3 for Dinner We have been watching this restaurant's transformation for months. We have driven by many times and watched as it changed from the old Ruby Tuesday to a brand new Juicy Crab. We wondered if it was ever going to open, but it finally did. We visited on their first day in business. As we drove up, we noticed the streamer flags and balloons all around the property to celebrate their Grand Opening. We entered the restaurant, were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The renovated interior is extremely clean. We reviewed the menu for the food and drink options. There weren't any beer / drink options on the menu, they are still working on the liquor license. Wifey and my daughter ordered the Steamed Crab dinner. I ordered the Fried Shrimp basket with Sweet Potato Fries. The 2 Crab dinners came out 1st and my shrimp came out a little later. The shrimps were a nice size and tasted fresh, but the batter definitely needed some more seasoning. Wifey enjoyed her Crab dinner with the Juicy special sauce. My daughter ordered her Crabs with just butter and said her meal was just OK. Our Server Shay was very friendly and attentive. She was a winner. TL; dr - get the shrimp basket, cajun fries, and boiled potatoes; Avoid the catfish Just got takeout from this location earlier this evening and found the food and experience to be just okay. i'm not a fan of seafood boils, so i ordered from the menu of fried items, specifically: - the shrimp basket: very tasty and the cajun fries were nicely prepared - the catfish basket: just okay; the fish was not prepared well and had a bit of an unpleasant smell - it clearly needed to be prepped with more lemon before frying and the cajun seasoning did very little to add any flavor, but my husband enjoyed the accompanying sweet potato fries - a side of boiled potatoes: the best bite of the meal! Potatoes were soft but not mushy, and they were so tasty owing to the seasonings and oil in the bag they came in - a lemonade: so good! not too sweet @ all - sweet tea: overly sweet with a bland aftertaste - i diluted it mixed it w/ the lemonade & it was ten times better. The Juicy Crab in this location is very new, so i def suggest stopping by before the novelty wears off. Having tried the boiled potatoes, i may visit again to order from the seafood boil menu - we'll see. Three out of five stars for now. read more

The food was very juicy and filling the shrimp holds all the juice, once I started eating the potatoes and eggs and sausages that was it for me I got so sleepy and full I couldn't even finish my whole meal but this food was really good, I ordered my food to go so I didn't get a chance to sot down in the restaurant but next time I will, I did see people sitting and enjoying themselves it's very spacious in there not crowding. This was our first visit to this restaurant. My family and I wanted seafood. The pics of the food on Yelp looked really delicious but the review rating was 3.5 stars. We decided to take a chance and go with the pics rather than the ratings which we normally don't do but this time it worked to our advantage. We had 3 different platters and they were all delicious!!! The food was off the chain! Everything was awesome!! The hostesses who greeted and seated us and the waiter were all very courteous and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was really nice and clean. I would suggest that waiters not be allowed to wear their pants sagging below their butts when at work; off the job it's their right but in a place of business serving others, it's very inappropriate and unprofessional. THE WORST SERVICE EVER! We had the worse experience. The whole restaurant was in disarray. Nobody's order was right in the restaurant. The staff was so uncaring. Checks were wrong. Extremely SLOW service. Drinks were extremely watered down (lack of available syrup) Water tasted like pure tap water. Food was cold. Speaking with the manager she could care less. It was a whole mess. When the grand opening was upon us you posted all the time. Now no type of response. I called the store asking for the manager I was told she doesn't speak to much English so it did no good to talk to her. Asked for the General Manager young lady had no idea when she would be there. Service was cool. I have nothing against service. I think only one staff on the floor so I saw many people coming into the restaurant and leaving because there was no one to seat them. This locations food is awful. Seriously. The signature sauce taste nothing like juicy crab sauce. It's too salty; so salty it taste sour like pickles. Eeew. The franchise manager need to come check this place out and correct a few things. And a server named Candice Anderson was very rude and nasty to my twins daughters and little cousin who are all minors they exchanged words while I was on the way to the establishment to get my children and while in route Candice pulled a knife on my children. once I arrive she lied about calling the police and still just has me standing here.
