I don't enjoy eating shrimp poop. I expected standard culinary quality and professional service but instead encountered unacceptable food preparation and hostile behavior from the owner, Wendy. I quickly realized the shrimp in the $25 shrimp creole had not been deveined. The digestive tract intact is unappetizing and unacceptable, particularly for a dish at that price point. Wendy the owner, flatly refused to take back or exchange the meal, claiming the menu only states the shrimp is "peeled." Maybe the menu should indicate peeled but not deveined/cleaned. Out of curiosity, I subsequently called two other Cajun restaurants in the area, and both confirmed that they always devein the shrimp in their shrimp creole. I informed Wendy the owner, how I will pay for this inedible dish but I am going to dispute the charge. In response, Wendy called law enforcement, falsely alleging that I was refusing to pay, and that I was threatening her. She actually wanted them to issue me a misdemeanor charge. What is wrong with this money hungry owner? Especially when all she had to do was offer me a different meal in exchange because I do not want to eat shrimp poop. Because of her false accusations, I also called law enforcement to clarify that I was paying my bill and to request an incident report to support my planned credit card dispute. My dining companion was also very dissatisfied with another matter. He also posted a negative review with his dissatisfaction. We both agreed that we will never go back.

Always a good choice. Never disappoints. Even at the bar seating you won't find better service and friendly staff. Just come eat1 you will not leave hungry and hope you like leftovers. Delicious food and feels like a NOLA restaurant. Love the music and the atmosphere.

Food was good if you like New Orleans style food. It's some of the closest you'll get. But beware it's def spicy I had the crab stuffed shrimp, dirty rice, and jalepeno corn. The jalepeno corn was so good but I couldn't eat it all bec of the spice. My husband had the sampler and a piece of fried flounder , his food was good as well! Ross provided excellent service, he was so nice and patient. Ambiance was backwoods, swamp, New Orleans mom & pop flair. Kid's shrimp was a large portion, could've been for an adult.

First time here and service and food was excellent! I had the blackened red fish sail special and subbed the Creole rice for dirty rice. Our server Jason and the manager took extra precautions to make sure I wouldn't be glutened. I also love that the manager took time to go over all of my options. While they don't have a separate gluten free menu, there were plenty of items (including the fried items) to choose from. Jason's energy was amazing, and you could tell he loved working here. We finished with a "small" bananas foster that was big enough for probably 6-8 people. Portions were great, food was nicely seasoned, service was amazing! A new favorite for sure!

Parking is hectic in front of and around the restaurant. BUT IT'S FREE! We know how parking is in metro Atlanta. The inside area isn't as big as some of the pictures make it seem. It did not take us long to be seated. They have an elevator to reach the second floor. We were seated on the first floor. The service was amazing. Everyone was so helpful and courteous. The manager is very nice. You get A LOT of food for a decent price. The small banana foster will feed a party of 8, lol. It doesn't contain a lot of banana's at the bottom of the ice cream. We all sampled food off each other's plates with a few additional dishes. I forgot to take a picture of my food. I had the French Quarter Shrimp and I ordered the potatoes and corn on the side. Our family will definitely return.

One of my favorite restaurants in Douglasville. Anytime I'm in this area I have to stop by here. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I went upstairs to the bar area and the bartender ended up being our waiter. He was kind and even put a twist on one of their signature drinks for me. A game was on so the bar was packed. Our food came out fast. The shrimp and grits is one of my favorites on the menu. The shrimp are fried to perfection and the grits are the best consistency. The sauce with crawfish inside takes the meal to the next level paired with toasted French bread. It also comes with a side. I had the green beans. They were seasoned well. Overall I had a great time here and wish I lived closer so I can come more often.

Took to to go, had been wanting some Jambalaya, and theirs is good, not the best, but strong. The Blackened Chicken Po-Boy was fire. Really good, nice place, accurate order, I'll be back.

First time here for me and my boyfriend for our anniversary and we loooooved it! The ambiance was calm with nice lighting, the decor was on theme , we had great food and great drinks! They also do not skimp on the portions lol Wr both had enough food to eat that night, eat the next night and some for lunch for work the following day. Only thing i'd critique is better bread. The garlic bread as well as bread that came with my my bf's seafood dip was very stale but it was later in the evening so maybe it had been out for a minute. We said we are going back though, it was so good!

They open at 4:30...I checked in at 4:47....seated at 5:52.

This place has amazing food and drinks. This was my second visit and I cannot wait to go back. My server was friendly and food was served in a timely manner. The four stars (vs 5) is for the dirty floors and the wait. As good as this place is, seems that they would expand with more seating but I guess why fix what is not broken.

The food was amazing and fresh. The service was friendly and considerate. The ambiance is family oriented and quite loud but not too overbearing. I will say get the dessert first. I was too full but ordered the bananas foster. It was the best bf I ever tasted but couldn't eat it due to being too full. Lots of food to go with the price.

At some point is anyone going to update your Yelp page? Your time shows open at 4, but actually you open at 4:30! Persons that aren't from this area and aren't frequent "flyers" may want to know the correct information!

Not an employee or affiliated...just love eating here. Best to go to their website. They do update…

2/3/21 I hope this reaches anyone trying to go to Gumbeaux today or in the next few days. We drove over an hour from Roswell to take advantage of their "20 Shrimp for $10 Tuesday." When we arrived we saw a sign saying they were closed for cleaning?

It's best to call ahead prior to heading that way to ensure they're open. General cleaning is done frequently now to prevent COVID-19 spread.

It was truly the worst catfish nuggets I've ever had. The wings and fries were fine. The service was good.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND DISAPPOINTING…read more I am absolutely appalled by the treatment I received at Seafood Pot 2. The owner/manager is one of the most unprofessional individuals I've ever encountered, and the way she speaks to and treats customers--especially Black customers, who make up the majority of her business--is unacceptable. I placed an order for myself and my 2-year-old baby. When I arrived to pick up my food, I politely mentioned to the cashier that I forgot to confirm that the corn was fresh because the last few times I came, it tasted old and reheated. The cashier took the corn to the manager to check, and instead of addressing the concern like a professional, the manager became angry simply because I asked a question. The cashier came back without my food and said the manager wanted to refund my order because she was "upset" that I questioned the corn. I asked for the food as is since it was already paid for and intended for a toddler, and the manager flat-out refused. She wouldn't speak to me, wouldn't explain anything, and hid in the back while instructing the cashier to refund my money. This behavior was rude, hostile, and completely unnecessary. After this experience, I looked through other reviews and found multiple customers reporting old food, overcooked items, and rude interactions with the same manager. Instead of taking accountability, she argues with customers publicly, even going so far as to post the last four digits of people's card numbers in her responses--which is wildly unprofessional and raises major privacy concerns. She also accuses customers of using EBT or eating all their food before complaining. That was not my situation at all, but clearly this is a pattern with how she handles legitimate concerns. This is now the second Asian-owned business in the Fairburn Road / Hospital Drive area where I've experienced complete disregard and lack of respect toward Black customers. It is insulting that a manager would treat paying customers this way over a simple question--no conversation, no solution, just hostility and refusal to provide the food I already paid for. It is clear she does not value the Black dollar, customer loyalty, or basic professionalism. I will never return, and I hope others take these experiences seriously. Respect your customers or lose them.

I would definitely say my server could have done a better job and we got most of the things that we needed from Other service there because she was pretty absent however, overall our experience was a four out of five. The ambience is your typical lounge. It's pretty chill no thanks spectacular however, I would go back because the drinks were very good and you can't be a five dollar deal after work.

I've been for happy hour a few times. If you get there I'd say before 6 the music level is ok,…read moreespecially during the weekday. After 6, expect to have to yell at the person next to you. My friends have tried attending and found the music level too loud & left. If it's supposed to be a restaurant, then maybe save the loud music til after 9 for the club vibe? ‍ We came for dinner Sunday, 7/27/25. There was a good mix of R&B & hip hop, with more R&B, I'd say. My husband, "can't do boopity-boo," and was able to hang in there until bingo. I'l come back to that. I ordered the Baldwin Hills, which was fruity, but strong. The bartenders need to get on the same page tho, because the 1st one was definitely better than the 2nd one. I'm from LA & Baldwin Hills is above the area where I grew up, so I had to represent with that drink. Normally, I'm a whiskey/bourbon lady, but vodka is my white liquor preference so I was good. The food is good. We started with the jerk chicken eggrolls. It was definitely fried hard, or maybe refried from earlier? Idk. It was not as light as the picture. Due to the lighting & how hard they were fried, I had to do some editing to make them visible. The server said they weren't too spicy. They come in 4 pieces. The 1st piece I had was definitely mild. My husband said they had a kick when he bit into his, but I didn't get that...that is until I had the 2nd one! Whew! All the spice was in that piece! I'd say slightly spicier than a little kick. They were tasty tho. We both waited a while for our entrees. The table next to us, also only with a couple had their food come out before ours, though they came in as we were finishing our appetizer I think. We'd already placed our entree order by the time they came. The server apologized for the delay on our food and said it would be out in a few minutes. It was more like 10-15 minutes before they brought out his entree. The person who brought it out, maybe the manager?, said she didn't want his food to get cold waiting on mine to come out. It took another 10-15 minutes, if not longer, for my food to come out, with no explanation. My husband ordered the fried catfish entreè with spinach & rice pilaf. He enjoyed his food. His only issue was not having 2 fillets. As you can see the piece you get is sizable, soooo, if you have a big appetite, maybe also get the catfish on the happy hour too to supplement the meal. ‍ I'm trying to get into salmon & the honey bourbon salmon was good. It wasn't overly sweet and it didn't taste fishy, like salmon sometimes can. The spinach is good also. I had to send the potatoes back because they were not hot. As long as I waited for my food, I wasn't expecting lukewarm food. The server quickly brought out some hot potatoes and they were good. They have bingo on Sunday night @ 8; or at least it was 8-something that's night. Initially, the dj said it was an R&B bingo, but when the bingo paper was passed out, it had hip hop on it too. I'm familiar with some hip hop, but don't know all the artists' names, lol. It was still fun, but I knew I probably wasn't going to win lol. We sang during the songs (had to ID the artist on the bingo card), and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I'm glad to have this option in Douglasville and glad it's still here after a few years when some other restaurants have closed. They are also open late, which is good, as most restaurants in the area close at 9 or 10. I'd ask the owner to consider a grown and sexy night or an over 35 night with good R&B music that's played at a level that can be enjoyed and allowed conversation to flow. A line dance night would also be good. I met the owner when the 1st location in Atlanta opened on Edgewood. It just so happened we had family in town visiting from LA. They gave him the business lol about the drink names and the place, but really enjoyed the vibe. I'm glad to see the business flourishing and in multiple states. I wish continued success and that there will be some acceptance of the feedback provided.

I called to verify if the pricing I saw on the ad was still relevant since the price was kind of low and the person who answered was so friendly and confirmed that it was a special they offer daily. The Douglasville location is in the plaza with Bruster's Ice Cream & Golden Krust. I honestly never noticed it when driving by the area, but you cannot miss it if you pull into the shared lot. Parking is a little bit tricky with the one way and smaller shared space, but we were able to find a spot. They have a large chicken (see picture) right outside. The inside was clean with a few chairs and tables to dine in. They recently remodeled and I believe they are under new management. Their restroom was clean. The cashier who took my order matched the voice I heard when I called in and he was just as friendly when we were placing our order. There was an overwhelming amount of options to choose from even down to side items, (i.e. fries, wedges, curly fries, etc.), and the cashier was helpful with suggestions so we could narrow it down. I also noticed they have chicken and waffles on the menu. I opted for the teriyaki wings with lemon pepper sprinkles with potato wedges and my son decided to order a chicken sandwich (tossed in a hot sauce) with curly fries and jalepeno ranch. Our combos included a can soda and my wing order included celery, carrots and ranch. Our food came out hot and fresh. My son loved his spicy sandwich & raved about it for weeks after our visit. The teriyaki wings had the perfect amount of sauce and lemon pepper. They were hands down some of the best teriyaki wings I've tried. The flavor truly shined through with a good level of soy sauce and sweetness and they did not overdo the lemon pepper either. They even reheated well the next day in the air fryer. Overall, I loved the experience and the food. Probably the best wings in the area and for a great price too. I would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area.
