Food is great. Every time I'm in town I stop here to eat. Friendly service. Ambience quite laid back casual.

I ordered two Gyro sandwiches for my boyfriend and I and they were delicious! Very filling and satisfied with our order. $12 and packed full of goodies. It's nestled in a very cute area that had a windmill and koi fish. I will be back! Excited to have tasty Mediterranean food close to home.

We came across this little restaurant on our way to the grocery shop and I must tell you this is such as a hidden gem! The first time we went we tried the gyro salad & their special "fuego plate". The chicken kebab was fire! No dry, chewy, flavorless chicken you get in most Mediterranean places in the area. Oh and the tzatziki sauce you just have to try it. 2nd the ambiance is chill, clean, modest, the kind of place you go to when your in a hurry but want to sit down for a bit. And lastly but not least the service is excellent, the girl at the counter is super friendly and accommodating. We are 100% coming back here!

The restaurant has plenty of parking and has indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is modest but very clean and they have a water station where you can help yourself to cold water. They also have to go containers at the ready for any yummy leftovers. I came here during lunch time and was surprised that there wasn't more people. I ordered the chicken kebab plate and it was very decently priced. When the food came out, I was blown away by the wonderful presentation. The quantity was impressive, and everything was delicious. The salad was fresh tasting and had a delicious dressing. The chicken was so tender and moist. And the rice was buttery. Hilariously enough, it was so good that I came back for dinner and ordered the Fuego plate. I didn't get a picture of that one but it was "fire" . I will most definitely be coming back!

Fuego Grill is INSANELY delicious! I'm upset that I waited so long to try it, and even though I don't live in Escondido anymore, I would honestly make the trek from San Diego for it - THAT is how amazing it is! Perhaps the most tender and succulent chicken I've ever had in my life. In fact, ALL of the meats we tried were fantastic. Cutting steak and lamb with a butter knife? Unreal. And the charred tomatoes are just the cherry on top. I'll absolutely be back!

110% amazing and delicious. I highly recommend geting a fuego combo plate. If you sit outside there is this relaxing pond you can watch while you eat. They have canned sodas or water to drink.

This was the perfect place for a casual, relaxing, Sunday dinner. The service was friendly and fast. The food was hot when it was served. It was also bursting with flavor and delicious. We had a busy week and weekend and this dining experience was the perfect opportunity to relax and wind down.

It was alright. Ha ha it was fire! Cleaned my plate. Food tastes fresh, charred veggies were amazing, and the tzatziki was great. Will definitely come back to this spot monthly.

After a yelp search for new restaurants came upon Fuego Mediterranean Grill. Mentioned it the wife and she was ecstatic to try , especially after having disappointing food at a couple north county spots . This place is located off midway and after pulling up , was so excited to see a beautiful koi pond adjacent to the restaurant, with outside seating right next to it.. Ordered the steak pita and Fuego plate. Food took about 15-20 mins , which is a good sign that it's freshly prepared. I can say without any hesitation that this is quite possibly the best Mediterranean food I've had in years. Possibly since visiting Greece several years ago. Everything was so delicious. The steak kebab , chicken kebab, and gyro meat were tender, marinated well, and had the perfect amount of open flame charbroiled flavor. We have been here several times since and the food has been consistently just as good as our first visit. A true hallmark of a great restaurant establishment. We absolutely love this and my 4 year old and 2 year old love looking at the koi pond. Delicious food at great value and great ambiance. Can't beat it I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone

I'll admit, I get nervous trying new places because food is so expensive these days -- I hate spending money and being disappointed. I usually stick to my same go-to takeout spots, but my husband convinced me to give this place a try. I'm so glad we did! I ordered the gyro wrap with cucumbers, and it was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned for the price. I also loved that you can easily customize your order. The tzatziki was delicious -- not overly garlicky -- and they thoughtfully packed it on the side so the wrap didn't get soggy. Our order was ready on time, service was smooth, and everything tasted great. Such a great first impression! This is definitely going on my regular takeout list.

Recently I was working elsewhere in the city and decided that I wanted to explore new eateries above a few favorites, especially in the Middle Eastern category. That's how I found Kabob House, on Yelp. Over the hills and through the ravines was the route Google Maps laid out, and I found myself in a shopping center that also contained an Italian restaurant called Francesca's. I almost went there after browsing the food porn, but I stayed focused and found myself in a quaint dining room with nice use of light and shade. It's popular, too, I realized as the tables slowly began to fill up on a Sunday evening. Not packed, but definitely busy. There's also an active take-out and delivery business (via Uber Eats and Doordash I surmised). A Kabob combo is always a good place to start, so I appreciated the options available, such as Kafta and beef. They offer choices to round out the place and I picked rice with a salad. I could have picked hummus, too, but either way, a handful of triangle cut pita bread are standard. The salad arrived first, I thought I requested the Greek style but the Caesar was actually very good and I didn't complain. The meal arrived on a large, heavy plate with tall sides (why don't more places do that?) and beautifully arranged. Very colorful, with a few dashes of sumac as garnish. The beef was a tad overcooked and a little smaller in portion than other places I've been, but the Kafta was moist and had fresh herbs and spices. Clearly the better of the two, but the collective experience was satisfying. I liked the rice pilaf and pita, and I was full afterwards. I noticed that they have an extensive wine variety, but I suppose you'd have to ask for a list. Something to keep in mind, especially if there are wines by the glass. A Spanish varietal red or Syrah would be perfect for beef and lamb dishes, unoaked Chardonnay or Voignier for chicken plates. Next time I'll explore the Shawarma options and an appetizer or something.

The restaurant gives a mom and pop vibe, where they warmly welcomed us in. I loved that the lady gave us a bell to ring when we're ready to order. There were more than a handful of 4 person tables available inside. No outdoor seats. The guy who took our order and served our food was welcoming and our food came out within 10 minutes. Food: -Beef Koobideh Kabob ($15.95): skewer of suuuper flavorful beef served on a bed of saffron rice with a side salad and half a roasted tomato. No complaints there. Service 9/10 Fesenjoon: That day's special. This dish is phenomenal and a hefty portion. The stew itself was not shy at all about flavor; an appreciable sweetness and tart flavor coming from pomegranate, an earthy blend of spices (for sure can taste bag and cinnamon as well as toasted walnuts. I'm sure there's more) and the chicken is clearly well seasoned. The stew itself is not to thin or thick, resembling a texture slightly thicker than a Japanese style curry. The specials are served with a side salad and saffron rice. The salad is dressed with a yogurt based dressing. Light and refreshing. Nothing surprising. The saffron rice is lightly seasoned with saffron, mostly white rice. The big kicker here is tableside condiments include sumac, and that is a huge bonus. Pour a liberal amount in your rice and thank me later. Gotta love a Persian restaurant with sumac! Food 9/10. The tea served is a spiced black I believe. I've had halal kabobs from restaurants all over SoCal and the country and this place is still my favorite. It's a great option for catering (I always get the family platter pictured) and this was my go to place when we lived nearby - the flavors are tasty but not too overpowering so it works for all guests no matter their spice preference. We still drive up to 30 mins to cater from here because the food is always so good and a reliable hit with any guests that we have over. FOOD: The meat is not just flavorful but most importantly, it's somehow always just so moist, so juicy, and so tender all the way through. And it's not just the meats - every item they serve is just really unexpectedly delicious. At most kabob places, the rice/pita/salad/hummus are just weak add ons to fill up the plate, but these items are always so delicious at Kabob House and you can always taste the flavor bursting in every item (my fav is the salad which has a lemon/vinegary kick to it that just elevates the meal). All the items on the menu are great, but my personal favorite is the salmon kabob (if you've never had a salmon kabob, do yourself a favor and try it out and at least add one skewer of it if you get a combo) - the owner recommended this to me years ago, and I've always added at least a couple skewers every time since - all my guests rave about it. SERVICE/AMBIANCE It's a small casual family owned restaurant and the service is always super friendly. You can see the food being made fresh behind the counter which shows their confidence - it's clear they take immense pride in the quality of all their items and are eager to share their food and Palestinian heritage. The price is also exceptional value for the quantity of food you get, especially compared to other similar restaurants.
