Delicious saffron chicken kebab, delicious saffron rice, really delicious tzatziki salad (a little heavy on the dill, but it has lovely chunks of cucumber in it!)... And inedible pita bread. The pitas had severely burned bits, and they were COVERED with a light dusting of black charcoal dust. Yuck! I went back another time, and same thing. Burned pitas. What good is kebab without pita?? Fresh and kinda tasty. This is the second location that I have visited. TKS is located in Village del Amo formerly Restaurants Row in Torrance. On a weekend afternoon, there were plenty of parking spaces. We were welcomed in by the young lady at the counter. I chose the falafel plate with salad and rice. One of our easy no-brainer lunch places. Tried both the wrap and the grain bowl format - the rice, meat and veggies are delicious. Love their sauces - and if what comes with the dish isn't enough, you have a selection of a handful of sauces available to add on as extra. I had been wanting to try this place for a while. So glad I did! I wasn't eating meat at the time, so I ordered a falafel wrap from their online ordering system. I returned for their fresh and delicious food. I had the lamb and beef bowel with saffron and rice and it's amazingly good. I came just before the lunch hours since as soon as I ordered a line formed going out the door. But it moved pretty quickly and didn't delay my order. TL;DR - Huge long smoky wraps. Kids eat free on the weekends! Would come back. Been back here multiple times! I'm so glad they opened here along side Marugame Udon, Teriyaki Madness, Board and Brew, and Pho Hue Oi. Lots of variety now! The service is always quick and friendly. It can be a little noisy in there but it's nothing crazy. They got solid choices here. Their wraps come with a wide range of add-ons and protein choices. Their wrap also has a unique smoky smell and taste. The best part is the size of these things. They are longer than a foot and they're THICK. It's hard to scarf these things down so it's worth your money. The coolest perk about this place is the weekends for kids. Kids eat free. We're so happy this place is so close to home! This restaurant shares free parking with other businesses in this sprawling Village Del Amo. This portion has 5 open eateries as of May 2025 - Marugame Udon, Board & Brews, Teriyaki Madness, Pho Hue Oi, and this place TKS. You will order at the counter and pay. Then you grab a table. Hubby orders and I grab the table. When your order is ready, they will call your name and you need to take your food to your table. Last year, hubby & I first went to another location for a Yelp Event and got a Wrap. It was tasty, but didn't entice us to revisit. When we saw this location, we thought we'd pop in to give it another go. Happy to report that this is now one of our favorite places! We usually share a Plate ($15.50) with Grilled Steak (costs an additional $2.80), Grilled Veggies, & Spicy Hummus and Pita. We sometimes get the Grilled Chicken or Carved Lamb Beef, but always the Grilled Steak. The steak is absolutely scrumptious! The steak requires about 10 minutes to cook, so be prepared to wait or order your food in advance. TIP: The A/C vents blow directly on the seating areas and it is COLD! On a hot day, this is the place to be! Otherwise, you'll find yourself wanting to eat at a table outside. Now that we've found what items we thoroughly enjoy, we find ourselves coming here often! The food always comes out hot, which is a huge plus in my book! They serve a warmed up Pita. I've been to other places that don't and it's such a nice touch to have a warm one! I first tried the kebab shop in San Diego and was impressed by their quality and freshness of ingredients. I'm so happy that they're opening up shops across the LA and OC regions. Another plus is that they offer halal options (carved lamb and beef kebabs). I ordered the carved lamb build your own wrap, which comes with lettuce, onions, cucumber, beats, sauce inside and on the side. I tried their OG Yogurt (their version of garlic sauce) and it was spectacular! Their cilantro jalapeño was also exceptional, I recommend you try them with your wrap or bowl. Luckily, they have a full sauce bar at the back so you can get as much of each sauce as you want. 10/10 experience, I will be back! read more

New Kebab shop in the section near Benihana. Not many tables but spacious and clean. Love the variations of options - types of meat, bowl/wrap. Wrap is huge. I got the falafel bowl and the falafels were fresh and tasty! I had lots of leftovers (I don't eat a lot but love it when the portion is generous!) Don't miss their sauce bar for more garlic yogurt sauce and the cilantro jalapeño sauce. The green jalapeño sauce wasn't that spicy and added a little more flavor to falafel so I am glad I got the leftover sauce to go as well. Fountain drink's Unsweetened tea was ok but it is nice they have a choice other than soda. I appreciate when restaurants use sustainable packaging like the paper plates. read more

This can't possibly be a good thing for The Kebab Shop if I'm comparing them to Panda Express, a fast food chain where employees literally scoop the food from holding wells, which keep the food warm, while the other chain, a fast casual one, has a more involved process in the kitchen that involves the use of vertical rotisseries to cook the meat. We all know Panda Express is not known for having the best tasting Chinese food ever, but The Kebab Shop supposedly and consistently boast their high quality meals across the menu. Unfortunately, it seems like all my visits to The Kebab Shop result in average quality meals. Don't get me wrong, the food is still tasty, but there always seems to be an issue or two with every wrap I order. Maybe now's the time to call it a wrap on their wraps? This Kebab Shop is located in Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Hawthorne and Torrance Boulevards. You can find them between Board & Brew and Marugame Udon. The building that houses these three eateries was constructed sometime within the last couple of years, which you can tell via Google Street View. The parking lot, while significantly smaller than nearby Del Amo Fashion Center, is significantly easier to park in as there were plenty of open spots when I arrived at about 5 PM on a Saturday. There was a father and son ordering with the female cashier when I arrived, and after they were done, she was ready to take my order. Honestly, her service was somewhere between "whatever" and "I'd rather be at Del Amo Fashion Center shopping with my friends instead." She wasn't a very vocal person like her counterparts at the other locations I've been to. Like when I asked her to remind me what comes inside a wrap, she simply pointed to a sign right next to me as if to give off the impression that I was a dimwitted buffoon with a dunce cap for not even noticing in the first place. I ordered a wrap with grilled chicken, a $1.90 upcharge, and requested for all the complimentary toppings: OG Yogurt Sauce, Greens, Pickled Onions, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Red Cabbage Slaw. The cashier also asked if I'd like any extra fillings like fries or feta cheese, but I turned them down, though one or maybe both would have made the wrap taste significantly better? I asked the cashier how long it would take to prepare my order, and she estimated 10 minutes. It was really 15 minutes before her coworker called my name to hand me a tray with my wrap on it. That coworker did have a small smile on her face, but it was much better than what the cashier portrayed. The wrap is pretty long, traversing the tray from one corner to the opposite corner. However, in spite of how long it was, it still left me longing for a little more. I know I said I wanted all the complimentary extras, but they shoved soooooo many greens inside, leaving not that much room for the grilled chicken. There wasn't that much grilled chicken in my wrap; in fact, I think I would have gotten more chicken had I chosen the carved chicken instead, which doesn't incur an upcharge! If you were to take out the flatbread on the wrap, it would look very much like a grilled chicken salad. The excessive greens were very distracting, and I couldn't enjoy the wrap as much as I wanted to, even when I used all three of the sauces. And speaking of sauces, the pumps in the back are a little suspect. Usually, one press of a pump can fill up a cup, but for all three of the sauces, I needed to depress each pump multiple times to fill one cup. Not only that, they usually have two pumps dedicated to the OG Yogurt Sauce, but one of them was out of order as depicted by an upside-down tray. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the inefficient sauce pumps? Luckily, all three sauces tasted good and went well with my wrap, so I guess no harm, no foul here in regards to the pumps. I did enjoy the few pieces of grilled chicken I got in my wrap, but like I said, I think I would have gotten just as much chicken or maybe a little more had I went the carved chicken route. I had enough rewards points for $10 off my order, so it's kind of disheartening that 1/3 of my order was spent on an upgrade that I didn't think was worth the full upcharge. Also, I did notice a discrepancy in their two Kebab Kreation signs. The one outside said wraps start at $15.20 and bowls start at $14.70. The one inside shows the two prices higher by 30 cents. Nickel and diming (or quarter-ing, I should say) scheme?? Overall, the wrap was up to par with what it should taste like, though the small (and lack of?) grilled chicken, especially in comparison to the excessive greens, was quite a disappointment. But the service has much more room for improvement; there was one point when I was the only customer inside, and I didn't even feel like my patronage was appreciated one bit save for the employee's weak smile when she handed me my order. I'll still return, but not to this location since it's quite far from me anyways. read more

After my family fell in love with shawarmas while traveling abroad, we have been on a continuous quest for good shawarmas in LA. TKS looked promising based on its high ratings regardless or location. Serving size was generous, and ingredients are fresh and tasty. That said, this is more like a Chipotle version of Mexican food, so didn't scratch my itch for an authentic shawarma wrap. As a person with an interest in trying something new, this Kebab Shop gave me a new experiance in the world of Mediterranean food. I ordered a protein bowl with grilled veggies which was absolutely heaven sent. The vegetables were so refreshing and I especially loved the crunch of the leaves with a creamy cilantro sauce. The flavor of the chicken is amazing paired with the vegetables. The restaurant looks very modern. The decor actually doesn't feel like a kebab shop but more of typical fast food place. So if you are the type of person to enjoy modern looking restaurants that give off that kind of vibe, this is a good restaurant to check out. Service is amazing, no complaints from the staff. Pretty decent spot for some medeteranian cuisine. My wife, son, and I came on a Monday evening to try it out. We ordered online for quick pick up before we got there. I got a falafel bowl and my wife got the chicken bowl. It's pretty customizable with toppings and the portions are pretty generous. I was pretty full after eating the entire bowl and had a side of their delicious, crispy fries. Their yogurt sauce is good on everything. They also have a sauce bar inside to load up on. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have kids eat free days on the weekend I believe. It's located in a larger plaza with plenty of parking.
