UPDATE - I actually ended up calling another location for the sole and they told me that the "whole company" is sold out of the soul that they have the coupon for which literally we received in the mail yesterday. Wow what a scam. Typically, I love coming to this establishment, however totally disappointed today 8/7/26. Got an ad in a local magazine YESTERDAy for a that said they had to buy one get one free sole entree. We just left there at 11:30 and they said they're " sold out" so in one hour that you've been open, you sold out out of the fish?? or was that just false advertisement to get people in the door - and while honestly, I love their chicken and could've eaten there I didn't because it's just they never put out coupons and when they do, it's for something that doesn't exist. I don't believe they're sold out (the coupon just came in the mail yesterday) don't believe they have any sole at all and maybe never did, but that's their story and they're sticking into it. read more

I thought I was in luck when I went into Chicken Maison for lunch one day and saw on their big screen that the Filet of Sole plate was on special or at least so I thought! After paying for my lunch I saw that I was charged the regular price. Thinking no big deal I'll just go back up to the cashier and get an adjustment. At the cashier I was told that the screen is wrong and there is no Filet of Sole special. I said but your screen said there is a special. His response was "oh I need to change that" and then turned around ignoring me. Next time? If I ever want to over pay, this will be a good place to come. read more

This is a local favorite of my husband's. They have a spicy gyro plate that can be customized. He usually gets it with the spicy coleslaw & grape leaves. I usually get the lentil soup. It is a mild, tasty soup. Chicken Maison includes pita bread & tzatziki sauce on the side. Their tzatziki sauce is delicious. The staff is friendly & accommodating. They also have 4 fresh teas to choose from, the mint & hibiscus are caffeine free, they also have fresh squeezed watermelon juice, and a caffeinated black tea. I ended up combining the mint & hibiscus & it was a delightful combination. They are closed on Sunday, which I think is great! It shows that they care @ their employees & want their employees to be able to spend time with their families/friends. I honestly wish all retail businesses were closed on Sunday. read more

I have eaten here dozens of times over the past several years. In the past it was 4 stars. The amount of staff turnover has made the service very inconsistent recently. The food is still really good. The other issue I have is the plastic waste that goes with the garlic sauce. They use washable plates and silverware, but they hand out the sauces in tiny disposable plastic that gets landfilled or breaks down in the ocean. I always say I don't want the garlic sauce when I order. I don't like that sauce or the plastic waste it generates. They always bring it to me anyway unless I order a gyro that comes with Tzatziki. Even then they still bring me one with the pita. The last time I let them know I did not want it when they brought it to me and the response was, "it's OK, I'll throw it away for you. I think I will try the location on Prospect and see If I can get that Staff to not give me unwanted plastic waste. read more

I placed my order at the wrong location. When I got to this location, the staff was very kind, helpful, professional, and courteous. They went out of their way to contact the other location and transfer my order and rush prepare while I waited. The manager came out and ensured I had the best experience possible. I was particularly impressed by this manager as I watched him clean tables, take the trash out, and really maintain a clean restaurant and a pleasant experience for all his customers. One of my top spots to go to for a healthy dinner at your long day. Food is always fresh with great ingredients. Steak kebab, or the salmon kebab or top-notch and the hummus slaps. If you're a garlic fan, you must try the garlic sauce with the pita. The service is quick. Staff is friendly and with two TVs to watch a game, the ambiance is perfect. If You don't like watching tv, they have great music playing too. I support local and this is one of my favorite spots. read more

My wife wanted something quick and healthy and this place came up and am glad we came here. She ordered the steak kabob with sides of brown rice and spicy hummus and says the steak is soft and easy to chew and juicy. She's really loving the garlic sauce that comes w the meal. She said the brown rice is not too soft but not too hard (but we prefer softer) and the spicy hummus is good. Overall: quick and relatively healthy and lady at the front is really friendly and eager to help. The furnitures need an upgrade. But food is good and it's close by. My favorite go to spot for delicious healthy meals. My favs are the spicy chicken and salmon kabobs. The spicy hummus is delicious and don't get me started on that garlic sauce. I put it on everything including last but not least the Mediterranean fries just bursting with flavor. The service is great everyone is very nice and you can definable eat in. OH MY GOD! This is NOW my FAAAAAAAV Chicken Maison ever! So I did a thing... I placed an order at this location for later in the day but decided to come during lunch and actually dine-in. I came in, met and was greeted by Gloria, Manager and staff member, Serena. Told them the situation of my online order, they understood the situation, made me feel at ease and everything went seamless. I was thinking that since I put my order in for a later time that it would be a hassle... definitely not the case! I was told 10 mins for my food to come out and while I waited I had freshly made pita bread (nice and warm) with garlic sauce! By the time I realized it my food was coming out and I chowed down... mkay! I am so impressed with this particular location because not only are they SUPER kind, with impeccable customer service they also did a thing... (laughing at myself) food was so good I left my wallet where I was sitting. They called me right away and THANK GOD I was still in the parking a lot doing this review, haha! This used to be a great place for the rotisserie chicken dishes. No longer. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Chicken 2 times recently to see if it was my imagination that it was not close to what it used to be. The chicken skin is no longer crispy, the chicken is left in larger pieces and the sauce is week. The popular Chili Garlic Sauce that everyone loved is no longer offered. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

The menu is kind of all over the place, which in most cases is a red flag, but in the case of more than one restaurant owned and operated by Armenians (I'm including my cousin's restaurant before he sold it and retired), the more different items on the menu, the better. Or at least it's not a red flag. I promise. The combo deal is legit, but even without that deal, the prices are good, especially when you consider the food quality. The family owned and operated restaurant always lives up to high standards at each one of their locations in Torrance, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Gardena, and Santa Ana. When founder Mario Karame opened their first location in Torrance seven years ago, he wanted his customers to share his family's love for delicious homemade food and to savor the real flavors of the entire Mediterranean coast with Greek, Lebanese, French, and Italian influences. Yet with his expertise in creating all of these wonderful tastes, healthy California cuisine was his inspiration to combine them all, and create distinctive, skillfully prepared food with a focus on Mediterranean style. They even knew by name the many customers who eat there every day, using Chicken Maisón's menu to help them lose weight and improve their health. When my food arrived, it was so colorful and visually appetizing; it reminded me that we really "start eating with our eyes." Then when I bit into the Spicy-Lemon Garlic Chicken I discovered the juiciest, most flavorful chicken I have ever tasted. Their garlic sauce, made with potatoes instead of sour cream, was delicious on their fresh pita bread. The fresh hummus was light and tasty; and the falafel was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside - exactly like they are supposed to be! Their specialty mint iced tea is so refreshing it helps you make room for Mario's fabulous baklava. Chicken Maisón's portions are so large, that I have a hard time finishing all the food. Since I didn't want to waste a single bite, I ate enough food to last me the entire day. However, I did not get that greasy or sluggish feeling I often get after eating at other places. My meal did exactly what Mario Karame envisioned when he started Chicken Maisón - it gave my heart what it deserved. I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment regarding an incident that occurred recently at your Chicken Maison establishment located in the Ocean West Plaza on PCH Highway. The experience I endured, primarily due to the deeply unprofessional conduct of the individual identified as the manager, was entirely unacceptable and falls far below the standards I would expect from your brand. My difficulties began even before my arrival. I telephoned the restaurant to place a to-go order. After being placed on hold, the call was abruptly disconnected as I was attempting to confirm my imminent arrival. Upon entering the restaurant, I approached the counter and politely brought up the earlier phone call, explaining that I believed I had been hung up on. The individual at the register, who later identified herself as the manager, immediately adopted a defensive and confrontational stance. She flatly denied my assertion, stating, "No, I didn't," and then offered the dismissive explanation that I "must have disconnected the call" myself. This interaction quickly devolved into an uncomfortable and public argument, as she continued to dispute my account and demonstrate an alarming lack of professionalism in front of other patrons. Throughout this exchange, her demeanor remained consistently rude and unyielding. There was no attempt to acknowledge my inconvenience, offer an apology, or de-escalate the situation. In a further display of discourtesy, while I was still attempting to convey my experience, she abruptly answered an incoming phone call and proceeded to take another order, without even excusing herself or completing our discussion. Given the escalating nature of her behavior, I requested contact information for a manager or owner, hoping to address my concerns with a higher authority. To my surprise, she declared, "I *am* the manager." When I reiterated my request for alternative contact details or an escalation path, she actively avoided providing any further information, instead choosing to walk away towards an adjacent office, effectively stonewalling my attempts to resolve the issue. Later, as my order was presented, she placed a brownie in my order, remarking it was "for the inconvenience." While perhaps a gesture of goodwill, it was particularly disheartening that even at this final point, there was still no genuine apology or any real acknowledgment of her earlier unacceptable conduct. The gesture felt superficial, failing to address the core issue of the extremely poor service I had received. Her conduct was not only highly unpleasant and unprofessional but also, in my opinion, completely unbecoming of someone in a leadership position, especially for a brand like Chicken Maison, which I have always understood to uphold high standards across its many locations. Such behavior severely tarnishes the restaurant's reputation and detracts significantly from the customer experience. I sincerely hope this matter will be thoroughly investigated and addressed to prevent similar incidents from affecting other patrons in the future. read more

I love the spicy lemon garlic! It is simply to die for! The BEST garlic sauce I have EVER had in my entire life...... I have tried other things on the menu like the spicy lemon pasta, and their humus is good including the brown rice... I could go on and on but this place really speaks for itself.... THis is a pick up style but you can dine in as well. They do have good service and the place is really clean. I would suggest this for any size group, but probably better to go with only a few people of around 4... Quality of Food: My favorite place.... enough said..... This is hands down my go to spot in torrance. Quality and taste is ALWAYS CONSISTENT. SERVICE: The Service is nice and friendly..... and very much reliable. This is NOT a sit down kind of place.... I wanted to have a healthy meal, especially one that wasn't overpriced. I decided to check out Chicken Maison on PCH. The place was packed and the line long, but it moved quickly. Lots of choices for mediterranean-style food, salads, gyros, plates, including fish, and desserts. I decided on the Chicken Kabob with steamed vegetables and hummus. All for less than $10. I actually received one kabob packed with chicken and another with vegetables. Plus my side of broccoli and carrots along with some pita bread and fresh hummus topped with some olive oil and diced tomatoes. Everything was delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful with citrus and herbs. Personally I like my vegetables cooked a little bit more, but if you like your veges to still have some significant crunch to them then you'll like it. The array of freshly tossed salads made with their own salad dressing is amazing. My favorites are the Chinese Chicken, the Greek, the Tabboleh, and the Lemon Garlic Chicken salads. Since they use rotisserie chicken breasts in all their salads, I prefer to enjoy the savory kafta, lamb, steak and chicken kabobs that come with a skewer of fresh grilled vegetables and your choice of sides when I'm hungry. One order of their shredded chicken breast with homemade pesto sauce, sun dried tomatoes and fresh parmesan on fettucini will easily fill up two people. If you like garlic, don't forget to try the wonderful garlic fries, and the great spicy chicken legs. The mint iced tea is deliciously refreshing. I thought the food lacked flavor I expected to taste garlic in my chicken, did not. I went with the yelp reviews thinking they know, wrong once again a total let down. The rice was concerted nit even real rice no salt no seasoning at all. The spicy chicken lacked any flavor the chicken should of been simmered in sauce. The potato salad who are they kidding some red boiled potatoes in oil no seadoning if you can't season the food stop cooking! Salt & pepper are very cheap and do wonders if your not willing to spend more on seasonings. Sorry, I can't recommend this place did not undetstand all the great reviews on Yelp but, as it has been said before even Yelper's get it wrong some times. The gyro meat was like a hard sponge so bad, poor thing who ever ate it. I hated this food will never go back again. read more

This review is long over due since I have been frequently going there once or twice per week for the past year. Food: The menu is healthy, delicious, very moderate in price. Recommendation: If you like slightly spicy food, your first order should be the Spicy Spinach & Chicken Salad($7.95). This is not in the main menu, so glance at their specials on the whiteboard. It comes with bits of crunchy goodness & wedges of orange...very satisfying! Staff: They always have a smile on their faces. Very friendly! They constantly clean tables, windows, & doors. The employees here from the manager on down are very courteous and always attentive. I would have a hard time naming three places that either meet or exceed this level of service. By the way, my usual meal at this location is the "Maison special" which is a large salad with plenty of chicken, graded cheese, your choice of brown or white rice and brown or white pita bread, with a side of garlic sauce . The food here is addicting. Once you have it, let the cravings begin. I want to fill my pool with Lemon Basil sauce and just dive into it...It's that good. The Maison Special Salad is also a favorite and I substitute brown rice. Its healthy and delicious. I also am a fan of the chicken kebab plate with potato salad and spicy hummus. The employees are always genuine and nice. I have ordered take out from here about a hundred times and the order has always been correct. Awesome job! DON"T SLEEP ON THE BROWNIES. I love their hummus! Although the chicken was so-so (at least for my taste). I ordered the half chicken spicy-lemon garlic with 2 sides - hummus and coleslaw. It comes with pita bread and the hummus was amazing. The portion is fair, I had enough left-overs for dinner! The cost for my half chicken was $10.25, and for both me and my friends order came up to about $24. I enjoyed my food so took one of the menus...but then I realized the #4 Chicken Feast costs only $27.95!! Two whole chickens and 4 large side orders! I go to this Chicken Madison location at least 5 times a week. Madison Special Salad is my go to. High quality ingredients unlike a lot of similar chicken restaurants around town. It's so easy to call in your order and it's generally ready within 10 minutes. The staff there are so nice and they really care about their customers. I'm so happy I found this restaurant. I am constantly trying to keep in shape and the salad here keeps me right on track. I also at times order the 1/2 chicken with rice and hummus. I went there last night, seemed like it was during one of their dinner rushes. BUT Despite them being busy the staff were all very friendly and happy. The food did take a little bit longer to come out than normal. But the manager noticed a few of us had been waiting quite awhile. She was very apologetic and sweet. Their food is very good! I love that they have a $5.99 lunch special that includes two pieces of chicken, salad, and rice. My only complaint is they they don't always give you the "standard" amount and there are times where I get far less food than the previous times that I've ordered the same thing. I ordered the Combination plate with chicken and beef shawarma and it came with the rice and the most delicious Fatoosh salad the dressing was to die for and the salad portion was great! The flavor was just amazing, very flavorful with every bite and the pita bread was delicious with the their dipping sauces and the hummus as well. I waited maybe 10 min and then my food was ready. I even got a text to notify that my food was ready so even if to went to wait in your car or go do something quick the notify you and I loved that touch. I WILL def coming back the portions are great and the food is delicious and fresh and made to order. They have a fridge with some drinks as well.
