Went in a group of 5. Clean restaurant, nice servers. Food was good, ambiance great considering it's a chain restaurant.

Imagine this. You plan a night out with your significant other for not just any birthday, but their 40th. You think to yourself, "I'd like to take her somewhere nice." And naturally, steakhouses come to mind. Unfortunately, we chose the Keg. We ended up spending over $150 on a meal with multiple mistakes, rotten lemons, wilted lettuce, and an overall impression that I was dining at a fast food chain. My wife ordered the Keg Classic top sirloin, with the added Oscar. Let me walk you through our experience. The salad comes, complete with a few leaves with brown spots and a lemon that looked like it had been fished out of someone's green bin. Her food comes, but the potatoes are missing. Fine. To remedy this, they don't take her plate and correct it, but bring a massive splatter on a side plate, which she has to somehow scoop onto her already full plate. We look at her meal again, and what's this? The mushrooms are missing. Again, we are waiting. They bring out another side plate. All seems well. I let myself hope for a moment. But this was premature. The crispy onions she ordered were nowhere to be seen. Another mistake. But you haven't heard the worst part. I asked the server if we could have a discount because of the multiple mistakes that were made with her meal, and he said he would talk to his manager. When he came back, he let us know, that they "knocked a couple bucks off the meal." At that moment I didn't realize I was supposed to take him literally. They gave us $4.80 off. That is less than a 5% discount. I almost said the LEAST they could have done would have been to knock off one of my wife's drinks, but clearly I'm giving them too much credit with that statement. Needless to say, we're never going back there again. Next time I feel the urge to visit I'll simply step into my local McDonald's, order a Big Mac and have a much better experience. At least with the Golden Arches I know what I'm getting myself into. Happy 40th Birthday, dear. read more

Amazing service and steaks cooked to perfection! We started with the dineout menu, which includes 3 courses: 1 soup or salad, 1 main and 1 dessert. Compared to a la carte, the dineout essentially gives you either the starter or the dessert free, whcih is a great promotion to me. I chose the Keg caesar, prime rib 10oz, and of course the Billy Miner Pie. All delicious, can't go wrong. The only note is the horseradish that comes with the prime rib has a BIG kick. I wish it was mixed with a garlic aioli to even out the flavour. The blue cheese filet is one of the best, smoothest, most flavorful steaks anywhere and is my usual go to at the Keg. This was not on the dineout menu though. This Keg is setup in the more rustic style with heavy wood finishes making it feel more classic. Our server Jeseye was awesome all through. You honestly can never go wrong with The Keg for dinner! My go-to entree is always the Prime Rib and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. It never disappoints. Shared appetizers included the Tuna Tartare, Mushrooms Neptune, and Baked Garlic Shrimp. And you know we have to finish off the meal with the Billy Miner Pie (x3). It's so good.. a must! First time at this location and my partner and I had a dinner anniversary celebration. We had a reservation so waiting time to get seated is less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was very busy at 6pm but staff are very attentive, accommodating and friendly. Our server Brett was awesome and he always check our needs. The foods we've ordered were all very good. Steak was done perfectly. Mashed and Double Baked Potato were tasty. And a BIG thank you for our free dessert. read more

Hubby and I drove in the parking lot and saw how full it was on a Tuesday . We were lucky to find a parking spot . We walked in with no reservations . 10 minutes later we were seated . We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers , so good . Our servers name was Stephanie . She's amazing ! She also made a " Billy Miners Coffee " especially for hubby ! It's Lobster summer at the Keg and you can get full lobster or a half lobster added to your steak dinner. My preference is to have the peppercorn NY and add the fresh half lobster. The difference from adding just the lobster tail is the tails are frozen where the half or full lobster is fresh. Great selection of steak and prime rib and chicken and rib combo if you want something different. Always reliable and consistent, attentive service. Go while the lobster is fresh and while their is a selection to choose from. read more

Seated outside on the sunny patio to celebrate a birthday. Early arriving guests of our party had ordered the Sangria which was loaded with fresh oranges, raspberries and other fruits. A beauty to look at in the tall pitcher. But let's go to the mains! We started with shrimp cocktails. Extreme jumbo shrimp, blush pink, in a martini glass-so fifties and so very delicious. Tangy dip superb. A plate of King Crab legs for the birthday celebrant arrived. Bring a bib, you will need to protect your duds while cracking these biggies. Our steaks were wonderful, done right to order. Oscar was fragrant, sirloin tantalizing- tender and tasty. Sides of gnocchi with field mushrooms and gremolata satisfied our palates, and the asparagus was perfectly crunchy. Server Jared was delightful-our entrees arrived at the same time, he supplied extra napkins and cutlery, friendly but not obnoxious! This Langley location has lots of parking, is surrounded by green space and offers great service during this CoVid19 -staff all wearing chic black masks, obvious sanitizing of tables and other flat areas, lots of paper towels in the washrooms. Ordered the Kansas City Steak with mashed potatoes. Ohhh man what a treat it was. I usually get medium well and this was one of the best steaks I ever had. I am writing this at 11pm and I am still dreaming of more. I wiped the plate clean and the nice waiter was surprised I devoured it. It was a pretty good portion. Really good experience we had for our NYE dinner ! Great service and food ! Me and my husband ordered their special NYE Tbone Steak and the prime rib. For appies , we got the baked Brie and asked for side of cheese butter with the complimentary bread which is to die for . Cheese butter Is not on their menu but you have to ask for it . It's so delicious I'm telling ya , you won't regret! Baked Brie comes with pesto sauce and jelly and each item in the plate just compliments each other so well - I couldn't have it in any other way ! The T-bone steak was huge in portion -20 oz and perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare to my likings. Came with side of beans , rice and fried onions . Wasn't a fan of the onions but the rice was yummy topped with asiago cheese and complimented very well with the steak . I've also asked for a side of Bernaise sauce which I barely had to use cuz the steak really didn't need anything . The prime rib was delicious as well but tbone was definitely my favourite . The prime rib in au jus comes with side of horse radish, fried onions and twice baked potatoes . Twice baked potatoes were also seasoned well and mouth watering . I come here all the time and for most of the time, I give it a 5 out of 5 stars. The service and food is always pretty great. This time we had a new idea which we never thought to try at the Keg...Take Out! This was a great idea. A couple of Keg Classic Prime Rib Dinners with a wedge salad, a ton of Roasted Veg, and a yummy loaded baked potato. Picked it up at 5:30 and back to the coziness of our house with a glass of wine and a Canucks game with the volume up loud. Had a great night with The Keg at our house. Awesome. read more

Went to the Langley location two weeks ago for the Summer Lobster Menu. Parking lot very small, was totally full, had to park in mall across the street. Was told to wait in bar and would be seated in about 20 minutes. Waited for over an hour, bar service very slow. Finally got in and seated. Wait staff were very good but kitchen service was very slow. When meals finally arrived steaks were overdone and tough. Ordered with half lobster and I was very hard pressed to find the lobster! Don't know why I continue to patronize The Keg. I am disappointed every time. Not at all like it was years ago. If I could choose zero stars I would. read more

We've been to this Keg several times now since moving to the area in July - we believe it may be the best Keg in the lower mainland, by far a better experience, service and food quality compared to Downtown Vancouver, Burnaby & Coquitlam where we used to go to. Simply the best! read more

The Keg Steakhouse is always a favourite to go with a group of friends to celebrate special occasions. This time we enjoyed a lovely dinner to celebrate my friends daughter's birthday. The staff and waitress were very attentive and friendly. The service was good and everyone enjoyed their meals. I usually order appies but I decided just stay with the main entree as they are a very generous portion. Tonight I ordered my usual Steak Oscar with the Gnocchi vegetable medley paired with a Pinot Grigio from Italy... yum! The steak was cooked to my perfect medium with ample rich, velvety Bernaise sauce on top of shrimp, scallops and bites of crab. I like trying different side dishes so this time I selected the gnocchi medley which was very tasty. It came with its own version of a lemony butter sauce to pour over the little dumplings, carrots, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms which complimented the dish very nicely. I love my sauces! Everyone had a great time and made one birthday girl feel like a princess. As always, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. My wife and I decided to go out for Valentine's dinner a few days early. We'd normally go to the Keg in Morgan Creek but decided we'd switch things up this time around. It was... Okay. We arrived at 5:30pm and it wasn't very busy at all. The ground floor dining room only has booth tables, and the second floor is, well, upstairs, so if you need a wheelchair accessible table you'll have to sit in the lounge. So we did. Service was prompt and friendly, but the food wasn't as great as we've come to expect from the Keg. Calamari was greasy, soggy and had a hair in it. Replacement was crispy and hair-free, as it should be. Baked Garlic Shrimp was great. Prime Rib was closer to medium even though it was still quite early in the evening. Filet was slightly overdone but still good. They forgot to bring steak knives in advance (as they usually do) so we had to flag someone down to fetch some for us while our entrees cooled down. We opted out of dessert. The took a few bucks off due to the appy mishap. I'm used to walking out of the Keg thinking "that was GREAT" but this time I walked out feeling indifferent. Just had an awesome steak here. Service was excellent. Pricing was very reasonable. I walked in expecting very high prices for an ok experience, so was pleasantly surprised. Food came very quickly, and our server was very pleasant. I had an 8oz Top Sirloin with Asiago rice. I asked for medium-rare, and got exactly that. I didn't need a knife as it was incredibly tender. Usually a fan of the keg. Recent experience was an absolute abomination. Made an appointment at 6pm and was told the wait would be between 40min to an hour. Absolutely, totally got it and willing to wait. Was told would receive a message to confirm when seat was available. 40 minutes finally a message got through while we were looking for parking in front. Five minutes later we're told by the hostess that our table for two had already been given away due to "lack of reply." No F's given. Here's a pager and enjoy waiting again. Seriously!?! You expect customers to vaguely wait for up to an hour and cancel within 5 minutes if they don't respond to a text? Awesome philosophy! read more

I have visited this Keg location many times as I live very close it. Every time I have been there it has been an all around good experience. On our most recent visit, we were greeted right away upon entering. It wasn't too busy and there was no wait, although I do know that this location can get very busy on the weekends. We were seated right away and our server, Jamie, came over to greet us very quickly. He was also the bartender in this section with multiple tables he was serving as well. This did not pose as an issue at all as we were never left waiting for anything which I found very impressive. We ordered caesers and another alcoholic drink called a raspberry lemonade. All of our drinks were well prepared and tasted great! We were given warm bread with a three cheese spread to put on it which was soooo good. We started with a baked garlic shrimp starter which was cooked perfectly and tasted so amazing. It's also a good idea to try dipping the bread into the sauce and cheese. We all ordered different meals, but it IS lobster season so we all ordered from the seasonal menu. I myself ordered steak and lobster with a side of garlic mashed. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted. The lobster was amazing. Cooked well and so full of flavour. Now, an amazing meal like this does come at a cost. The Keg is definitely not an every day diner. It can be quite pricey but it is definitely worth the cost for a special occasion or a splurge/date night. Ordered the cauliflower entree (Mediterranean Cauliflower) without reading the description thoroughly. Assumed it was the very yummy grilled cauliflower we had at the Keg on Granville Island last year. It came with couscous and hummus. I didn't like it even though I like all those ingredients. The flavour combination didn't work for me. I tried a bit of my friend's sirloin steak and it tasted good, but not outstanding. Service was good except that when I called in to see how long the wait was to get a table, they said no wait. When we arrived we were told there was a 10-15 min wait for the dining room but that we could sit in the bar/lounge area right away. Sitting surrounded by tv screens playing sports is not the atmosphere I was looking for, especially when we didn't go there for a burger and beer. read more

We went to this Keg for our 36th wedding anniversary. The keg in our neighborhood had closed, so we decided to try this one. In short, we had an above average experience. The server had a subtle sense of humor and worked hard to help us enjoy our outing. The food was quite good. We had steaks, what else would you have at a Keg. I haven't been to the keg for a while so decided to hop back in for my girlfriend's bday, the restaurant has a nice ambiance and was seated pretty quickly within 10-15 min on a Friday night at 8 pm. They give you warm bread to start and it was quite tasty as we were starving. The portion of the entrees were generous but the quality of the meat was just not there, Considering that you are paying almost 40$ for an entree you would assume that the meat would be more tender and juicy....nop. It's dry and hard to cut at the end of your meal your hands are pretty sore and i'm not even joking. Overall it's a good place to go to pamper yourself if you are lazy to cook or if you have an event to celebrate but if you have time to spare, do yourself a favor and go to a superstore grab those juicy tender steaks and cook it yourself. read more

This is a great location! My boyfriend and I went here in April for our anniversary. Great friendly service, and excellent food. No other restuarant gets my steak business, the Keg is amazing and makes my steak the way I love it, and the mashed potatoes are fantastic! I met a coworker for dinner here last night. Our server was super great, but the food was average to me. I had the tuna tacos and the pieces of ahi tuna were super small and not delicious. I've had their tuna tataki appetizer before and that was stellar, so maybe they just don't use the best selection for the tacos. I had 2 glasses of their happy hour white wine that was a blend of 2 or 3 varieties - it was nice. For dessert, which I rarely order, I tried the $3 mini mango brulee - THIS was actually really yummy. I loved the price point and the mini size. Overall, I was pleased to escape The Keg only $30-some odd dollars poorer, because a lot of their entrées are pricy. I don't usually eat here for that reason but my coworker chose the spot. Of course, I'll likely be back at some point in the future but it isn't a staple venue for my dining experiences. read more
