Bad Service+Bad Food+Rowdy Crowd=Never Going Back Again - - Today The night started with having to flag a waiter/tress on a tuesday night-where the bar was half empty. When the waitress finally came, one of our friends couldn't drink alcoholic beverages and asked for a virgin drink. The waitress just laughed and said, "No we don't serve that here." Odd, because it is a bar, they should be able to make whatever you like, without alcohol-hey they serve water, why not virgin drinks? We ordered buffalo wings which tasted like cardboard (right off the freezer-thawed in a hurry), although the burgers tasted decently. They neglected to give us napkins or utensils, and on top of that 15mins later the waitress comes with the check, without even asking if we needed anything else, any other drinks maybe, and says, "I just wanted to bring the check because the kitchen is closing." Needless to say, the kitchen wasn't closing, until 45mins after, she just wanted to leave. Since we just got the food, we weren't ready to pay for our bill yet, but the waitress kept on coming back every minute or so to check if we paid for the bill. I finally got tired and gave her the money, which was $18 over the bill. I was expecting for my change back as I was not about to leave a hefty tip for bad service. We waited and waited, until I saw she was about to leave with the $18 change, without asking us if she could indeed have it. I flagged her, got ignored, until one of the bar patrons told her I was asking for her. I asked for my change back, she acted as if she had forgotten! Delicious thick juicy burgers - love the ample serving of fries. And always get the horseradish sauce on the side. Place is always packed.

I am specifically rating them 5 stars for the one thing i go for, the wings on Wednesday. I have had them many times and i eat wings in a lot of places. I think the wings are very good, especially on Wednesday's special day. I have never been disappointed, they are flavored well and generously. I have tried most of the flavors and now stick with the three i enjoy the most. I personally stick with buffalo city, chuckwagon and big bear. A few of the others are fine with me as well, but those are the three i enjoy. Everyone's taste buds are different so you might like other flavors, but why not try it on a Wednesday when they have their special?! read more

Very disappointing brunch! Haven't been here in a long time. It's definitely changed. More expensive and mediocre food. Was always able to get just champagne. Not a fan of mimosas, but today I had no choice. They no longer give you that option. All in all it sucked. Won't be going back. Bay Ridge definitely needs a good boozy brunch spot. read more

1 star for the food and 1 star for Kevin the busser who should be a server since he was running circles around everyone else and helping every area out. He fixed the food order our server messed up, I saw him ask the server for water (I had to go up and get 2 waters from the bar because our server never brought it), he brought us utensils, checked on our food, cleaned the tables, brought out bar glasses, refilled my water and was so kind. I just left, so I hope the owners bother praising Kevin. Our server was so out of it he even refilled my iced tea cup with water. I've never seen him before but it was really space cadet service, down to the messed up bill. This is the 2nd time recently I've been here where the servers just don't care. The last time our waitress had such a boner for herself she couldn't be bothered to smile or offer any warmth. Came in on Saturday for the first time. Atmosphere was like a typical sports bar with a lot of TV's and a casual environment. Food Was Amazing! Got the Jack Daniels and Jamo wing sauces and both were very tasty. Waiter was kind and helpful, especially when it came to recommending which sauces to order and what beers to drink. Was very attentive and always checked if we needed anything. Eager to try more of the menu Items as I'll definitely be coming back here again! read more

This is our go-to spot for wings, and we actually come here at least once a month. The wings here are excellent, and I am picky about my wings. They have so many original flavors that you will not see in any other bar, so it's actually worth the drive coming here just for the wings. My favorite flavors are the CHUCKWAGON (HICKORY SMOKED BBQ SAUCE), and the BIG BEAR (HONEY BBQ SAUCE). However, they do a great job on the original which is called BUFFALO CITY (traditional buffalo flavor). The downside is their beer selection. They have an okay amount of beer on tap, but I am always limited to a shock top beer, because I prefer Belgian-style wheat beers. My friends who enjoy IPA always rave about the great choices that they have on tap, and the menu does change occupationally. I guess it's a personal preference. So, if you are in the mood for beer, and you are specific about your beer, then this is not the place for you as Brooklyn exploded with so many amazing spots with excellent beer choices. However, if you are in the mood for a lively crowd and great bar food, then this place fits the bill. read more

I came here on a Thursday night. It was decently packed with a nice crowd. I sat in the back area which is a little tight but it was just two of us so it wasn't bad. The service was great. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich. Their fries are like the real fry look with the skin still attached. I dipped them in extra buffalo sauce and it was amazing! I can't wait to come back. read more

Really great wings!! We came on a Thursday night so it was a little crowded but even with 7 of us we didn't wait too long to get seated. The only reason I give 3 stars is because the service was soso. The bartender had a bit of an attitude every time I asked for a drink. It seemed like she just didn't want to be there. This is the first restaurant I tried upon moving to Bay Ridge, and thus it holds a special place in my heart. That said, it's not that good. Everything is greasy and fried and yes, exactly what you want when you're drunk, but the menu is limited. It's definitely a sports bar, so don't expect a cozy pub experience. Love the wings and the food here. Have come here with my girl and family as well. Staff is nice and the prices are great. Only downside is that during the summer you get a lot of youngsters here, so Im not sure if these people are of age or have fake id's. Anyway it can get really crowded at wing night and they close the kitchen too early because people still try to get wings after 11. read more

They have an awesomely wide variety of wings (my husband and I are big fans of the classic Buffalo and the Jameson). The hubby also LOVES the crazy fries. Friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, good barfood. It's a great place to catch a football game (on one of MANY TVs) or grab a casual bite and some beers with friends. I've been here at least once for brunch. Meal plus unlimited drinks (a bit watered down, but kept coming) was about $17. I just looked at the website and they have it for $10 plus the food item, all of which are roughly $15. I like this place. Foods cheap and the wings are great, but there is no way any of the brunch options are worth $15, let alone an extra $10 for drinks. Please, someone tell me I'm mistaken. read more

This used to be a nice spot to grab a drink and a bite, but sadly no longer. The food has deteriorated to the point of being non-edible. The service, although the never the fastest was acceptable and the waiters and waitresses pleasant, but it seems lately the wait staff is slow and surly. Kettle is one of the very few places that has brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The food is always very fresh and has a great taste to it. Plenty of room, in the front and in the back. They always have lots of cold beer on tap, bottle, and cans. The service is the best you will find. Definitely NOT the "best wings in Brooklyn!" We did a take out order so can't rate the facility itself, but the food was sub-par at best. We ordered two different flavors of wings, Hawaiian Luau and Chuckwagon. Both tasted exactly the same: overcooked, extremely dry and chewy. The drumsticks barely had any meat on them. The boneless wings were more like chewy chicken fingers with BBQ sauce. We also got the potato skins that were basically a dry potato with cheese and bacon. They weren't seasoned at all. Was in Kettle Black on Monday night and I had one of the best nights EVER! It was good crowd, not too crowded but full of good company. I ordered the wing and they were spectacular...have not had wings like this in a very long time and I am from the Midwest!! The Buffalo City was awesome, along with the Big Bear, following with the Jameson Wings all recommend by the server. My friend ordered the Hacksaw Sandwich and I had a burger every bite was delicious. We had a fantastic time. We will definitely come back! The waiter was very attentive, the drinks were always full.
