In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. My husband says it was the best shrimp and grits he's ever had! My steak tips were equally as yummy. The sauce was out of this world good!! The fries!! Jesus what was that sorcery ?? YUMMMM. BOTTOM LINE: The old Plain & Fancy communal eating place disappeared after 2017. A faux Plain & Fancy section replaced it. Whole area, including town of Intercourse, Pennsylvania is a big tourist trap. Amish are gone, Mennonites remain. What you'll also find is a nice line up of drinks including wine, beer and cocktails. You won't find that at many of the Lancaster Amish buffet lines! The offers aren't as extensive as some of the other buffets. But it feels a little higher end. It's also pricier. But our family really enjoyed the experience. The spread here was overall very nice. Not a massive spread but still worth it to check out with some gorgeous country views out the window.
