I wish we'd taken photos but we forgot! My friend and I are enjoying a day of wandering around Lititz and stopped here at Piccolo for lunch. We ordered meatball parm and eggplant parm sandwiches. We each had a half of each. Huge sandwiches, delicious sauce, nice waiter and a chef who was born in Italy. This is the place to go! They do a lot of take out business with good reason! We came here the other week for a fun and wonderful dinner served by Nino Elia, his daughter Sara, and staff, and created by his guest chef Guiseppe Sciurca (& his girlfriend) from Sicily. Our dinner was a reunion for our group who had traveled together to Tuscany/Florence, Italy in October 2022. The food was delicious, we did a BYOB of wine, and had a fabulous time! Stopped in to eat as soon as we got to Lititz, as we were driving through the area. I got a cup of italian wedding soup and my wife got a cup of Tuscan bean and kale soup as an appetizer. Both were excellent. My wife ordered the Margherita flatbread pizza and I got the italian BMT sub. All the food was amazing and the service was excellent. The owner kept pushing the meatball soup, so we got a quart to go. A day later my wife and I split the other half of my sub and the meatball soup. The owner was right to push the meatball soup. It was off the charts excellent. Although we live an hour and a half away, we will find a way to get back to Piccolo's!!! read more

Walk in, greeted by super nice people, which I found out is a father daughter duo that owns the place! Super great people and funny. I got a meatball to try and wow! It was delicious, and I would recommend it for only $2! I ordered the Pollo Italiano for $14. They didn't have broccoli robe, so I was a little bummed about that, so I had greens instead. The bread that it was served on was very good. The chicken was slightly dry but had a really good taste. The only complaint was that it didn't have nearly enough cheese. My friend got the Italian wedding soup and it was great, she also ordered the pizza which was fantastic! I thought for $14 it was a little small, but it was very good Parking is kinda crazy it's on Main Street in Lititz, so you may have a hard time finding a spot. My sister and I wanted to try somewhere new for lunch so we chose here! I'm so glad we did! Once you get past the parking, you're set. There's street parking as well as a smaller parking lot out back that you have to walk around to. When you first enter, you come into a little shop that has all the best little Italian pick me ups you could ever need! It smells like your grandmas kitchen in there, and I love it - very inviting. There's a few tables in the back and a counter where you go place your order. The staff was SO nice! Seriously some of the nicest people in this industry since I started doing lunches in Lititz. My sister and I split the house salad which was a perfect addition to our main meals. I love all the options on the salad and the dressing was delicious. I got the grilled chicken sandwich (no roll) and it was excellent! Perfectly presented and very filling! The quality of food served here is excellent. Four of us went for lunch today and managed to get the last 4 top in the place. The awesome aroma of food swept us in the door, and the place was buzzing with people enjoying their food. Our food was ordered and brought to the table by a very friendly server, who took care of our needs immediately and with a smile. The sandwiches came, and they were huge, and so delicious. What I would like to see; what we did receive and that's one hell of a good meatball! I noticed the small market, upon entering Piccolo and was a little disappointed. I was anticipating to see a case laden with Italian meats, cheeses, olives and other Italian specialties. Further into the restaurant, I felt the small dining area, cozy. The menu had too many interesting choices and what does the hubby want - a pepperoni pizza. He's stuck and left, pondering over the menu, for the longest time. Finally, it was suggested that he try their meatballs (the beginning of my love affair with Piccolol's meatball) and they create a pizza, especially for him. In my mind, that is going beyond. My sandwich had the crunch from an assortment of pickled veggies, tang from a balsamic dressing and a hefty amount of italian meats, cheeses. At first, I thought the sandwich was small, but it was jam-packed with meats and cheese. Hubby asks, would you like to try mine and I'm like; I'll try a meatball and when he turned his head away; I took another meatball and had he gone to the bathroom; I would have stolen another meatball, but he did not. You see where this is going. We will definitely be back to buy meatball sandwiches! read more

Piccolo eatery. I'd always wanted to try this place and walked by more than a few times visiting Lititz. That's what I thought anyway. I didn't realize this restaurant had replaced the little cafe that preceded it and the pandemic. Hey, food is food (partially true) and I'm hungry (the thing that makes it true). Got the Italian sub because it's been a little while since I had a good one and the fresh looking meats, cheeses, and vegetables behind the glass were calling my name. Besides, it's harder to find a good sharp provolone where I live these days. The sandwich had a good combination of flavors. The meat was a little hard to bite through but it was freshly sliced and so was the cheese. I should say that everything seemed to be pretty fresh, down to the bread. Considering the surrounding alternatives, I'd recommend trying this place out. It's not going to make my favorites list. It's also much better than a lot of the other options in downtown Lititz for lunch. read more

I won't give five stars lightly, but this little gem just off the main drag earns it. It is an absolute Italian experience. Chef Nino is omnipresent and friendly. The "family" feel of the establishment permeates the room. The bruschetta was loaded with blue cheese. I had the Terra Nostra sandwich and the sharp Provolone made it special. All good meats, too. Add the fact that they have a full "market" up front with pastas and Italian delicacies, and it's just an awesome place to stop for lunch. read more

The best cannolis in Lititz! I've sampled cannolis from various area restaurants. Hands down, Piccolo makes the best. The shell is crisp and has a slight cinnamon flavor and the filling is rich and textural. Each end is capped with a red and green maraschino cherry half. Details are important. They have a nice selection of imported Sicilian foods from pasta - excellent - to pesto, roasted red peppers, canned goods, cheeses, sweets and savory items. Check out their deli menu where they'll create an Italian sandwich from a variety of meats, cheeses and veggies. Pasta entrees are another specialty. Lititz is fortunate to have an authentic Italian eatery on Main Street owned by a family who want to share their love of Sicilian food. read more

With the buzz I was hearing about this place, I had high hopes. Ordered a chicken parm (still looking for a really good one in this area) and found it to be bland from top to bottom. Chicken is fresh and baked(?) but it just didn't have a lot of taste. Rolls are nice and more inviting than the standard pizza roll you get in most places. Mozzarella is described as something very special on the menu (fior de latte!) but it's the same Bel Gioso pre-sliced mozzarella you can buy in the grocery store. (I watched them take it out of the package.) The young kids making the sandwiches are fine but a reminder this is basically a subway being marketed as something more. Maybe the meatballs are the ticket (as some suggested) but the sauce on the parm didn't knock me out so it's unlikely I will ever try them. read more

We decided to try their date night dinner. They never tell you the menu in advance and I believe that's because you would never pay $178.00 per couple. We had a small grouping of cheeses for an appetizer, small serving of pasta, grilled chicken with 3 pieces of zucchini- it was tasteless. I've recently moved here from New Jersey and being mostly Italian myself, I've practically been brought up on great Italian food. It's what I missed the most, so you can understand my quest to find a place that could fill the void. I was craving a nice taste of Margherita Pizza and decided to order it from their menu. To my shock it was served to me on a limp and previously frozen little pizza crust, the kind with pin holes through out and reminiscent of those little frozen pizzas you would eat as a kid. Not to mention it was heated up in a counter top toaster oven! Not good. And if that wasn't bad enough, all it had was a bit of a swirl of pizza sauce applied to it. Hmmm, where's the garlic? Where's the fresh basil??? I was literally shocked and thought they were joking for a moment, but soon realized this was as good as it gets. Wanting to salvage the over priced, under delivered "pizza," I actually had to wave the waitress over and ask for some fresh basil so at the least it would resemble something of a Margherita pizza. She hesitated and looked at me a little strange. Really?? Where am I? Is it really that hard to make a decent personal size pizza? Unfortunately this experience has left me quite disappointed. I'm sorry to say I won't be eating there ever again. read more
