Let me start off by saying this is the first time I picked up for delivery from you. When I walked to the door and opened it. Instead of being greated with a "Welcome to the Kicking Crab. Due to covid, we ask that each party come in 1 at a time." Instead I was greated with, "its a one party at a time per entry." Mind you this was said with an attitude! I said ok no worries understood. As I stood outside while my seafood began to get cold. I opened the door again, asking. "Is there a way I can grab my online order, before it gets cold." Realizing the couple in front of me was trying to decide what to eat. . . Again instead of receiving UPSTANDING customer service! I was answered. With. . . "The signs are on the door, you can grab your online order in the other door!" (pointing his finger, in the direction he wanted me to go.) Again with the a disrespectful attitude! When I picked up my food at the online order door. (In which I was I was directed.) I asked the kind young lady handing out the online orders. If I could speak to someone whom could solve the issue. Unfortunately her answer was, "Oh thats the MANAGER at the door!" (The boy whom gave me the initial attitude). Mind blown because there apparently is NO ONE I can express to how I was treated, and for it to be fixed! Now I will let you know. What we ordered, was 100$! Muscle Crab Shrimp. . . Honestly its seafood, my husband has been craving. So I cant even rememeber everything else that was purchased. Thats just the cliff notes.... I now leave you with this. . . You and only 1 other seafood boil are competing in my area. Also you are the only 1 who offers multiple options for crab. Not just a full crab. We get seafood boils at least every other week. And with this 1 encounter, of your manager. Whom has not been trained in customer service (its become apparent.) Which I have 6 years experinces of. This is not only me letting you know of all the great recommendations I wouldve have given you. Because your food is great. But you have lost my support, and the support of my follwers. You have also lost at least 100$ every 2 weeks. . . All I ask is you dont fire this manager. But show him his review, during a pandemic! Plenty of bad reviews so I would just be repeating what others have said. Quality of food is not up to par. Left the place feeling robbed of $154. We had a bag of shrimp and potatoes and a bag of shrimp and crab legs a order of chicken strips and fries with horrible seasoning and calamari. I was so disappointed I didn't even bother with my bag. We just brought it home and sat it on the table debating if I am about to just throw away $70 worth of food. Against my better judgment we went here instead of the Alaskan crab. This is my officially my favorite crab + seafood place at the moment. After my crappy experience at Submarine crab this was a breath of fresh air. This is was Sub crab should be holding their standards to.... my family and I ordered combos 1, 2 & 3. To share, combo #2 I chose the snow crab 1.5 pound & 1 pound of shrimp + 1 pound of crawfish seasoning was medium spicy. The crab was so flavorful, and temperature hot (in a good way considering submarine crabs restaurant my food was barely steaming), corn was so sweet and juicy! Cajun fries were skinny, crunchy and also perfectly seasoned. I really liked the side dipping sauce it came with!! Had a delicious + great time here. Been here a few times, my first few visits were amazing. Snow crab legs were perfectly cooked, the shells snapped open revealing succulent sweet crab meat. However this place seems to go down in quality. My most recent visit was take out in which we got 2 lbs of snow crab legs. Normally 1 lb comes with 2 knuckle cluster with about 4-6 legs per cluster. When we opened the bag, we were greatly disappointed to find only one cluster and a bunch of broken off skinny legs that weren't attached to the cluster part (which has the best meat!!). I would've never thought to do that, but trust me it happened to me and it will happen to you. First off, the service my momma and I received from Jason was on point ! He was extremely attentive and made sure everything was fine... from drink refills to asking if I needed another Wilson. He was very social and I hope to get him as my server on my next visits! This review is for a take out online order during the COVID-19 pandemic. We ordered 1 pound of crab legs with potato and corn, chicken wings, fish tacos and sweet potato fries. Total without tip about $60. (I have to admit that I've been in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area for the past 2 months so I may be a bit of a harsh critic on the crab) The crablegs were a bit anorexic in my opinion. The were slightly overcooked but only slightly and this could have occurred during the drive back home in the warm bag. Seasoning was not necessarily to my liking however I'm going to try a different kind the next time. The potatoes and corn was fine. The sweet potato fries were just okay. The hot wings were DELISH, a bit of kick, nicely breaded and fried hard like I like them! The fish tacos according to hubby were good and fresh. This is a good place to get down and dirty and fill your belly! We ordered the Cajun fries to start and I have to say they were good! More shoestring style and packed with a lot of flavor. Did they pass my fierce "crispness" test? Heck yea! We also ordered snow crab legs, crawfish and shrimp in the bag and it was a LOT of food. It was enough for our family of three and we almost had to roll each other out of there! I didn't like that there was a charge to put the spicy sauce on the side for $2.25. FYI- the spicy sauce is definitely spicy enough to make you cough, so proceed with caution. They do have free refills on drinks, which I appreciated. This is the type of place you visit on occasion because it can set you back, but it's definitely worth it. Everything was flavorful and yummy. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. Our whole group was so happy after eating here. There were six of us and we ordered three pounds of shrimp in different flavors plus some sides. the service & food here is amazing, but what made it especially amazing with our server. our server's name was matthew, a tall asian guy. the moment we stepped in the establishment, he immediately greeted us with a warm welcome and led us to our table. when it came time to order, he gave us a breakdown of the food and gave us his recommendations. he sold us immediately on 2 pounds of shrimp along with fries and all the other add-ons. during our meal, not only did he make sure we were enjoying our meal, but his consistent check ups made us feel comfortable throughout our meal as well. his charm and personality also just made the overall experience of this place a 10/10! you can definitely expect me back at this restaurant, mostly in part our wonderful server, matthew ! read more

It sure ain't Boiling Crab (BC), but it'll definitely do for being one of the only seafood places in MoVal. We crave BC every so often, and when we're not willing to drive to Rowland Heights from MoVal, this is our go-to. The chain is a decent knockoff. I have eaten here a handful of times over the years and haven't had any issues. Good service and online ordering. Everything is just very mid. They only let you order by the lb which I thought was really weird because other seafood boil places allow you to do 1/2 lbs. Ended up ordering the popcorn shrimp for $16.25 which was an absolute joke I wish I would've taken a picture it looked like a child's portion (or less), you're gonna get 95% fries. The shrimp were decent tasting, other places completely peel, here they leave some on and call it "ez peel". The waiters seemed like they didn't want to be bothered with anything, didn't ask us not once if we wanted refills. Again, everything was just very mid for the price. My family and I went out for my sister's birthday on 7/28. I ordered the Kickin' Medium snow crab legs and corn. It was delicious. There was another order of seafood in a bag, garlic noodles, wings, cajun fries (so good), popcorn shrimp, and clam chowder. Everyone enjoyed their food except my aunt who who ordered the clam chowder. In her words, "They were missing the clam and the chowder." She sent it back and requested fries instead. They (the multiple servers) ended up bringing more clam chowder in error, we had to request the fries, and the missing order of rice, multiple times. They brought multiple orders of fries, in error. We figured we'd cut them some slack since it was a busy opening weekend. Our waitress was Melanie, who was nice. 8/3 My sister and I called in an order of more crab legs to go. Super delicious!!! We were craving a good seafood boil but didn't want to make the drive to our regular spot. Especially with covid. We found this place and we are officially making it our new seafood boil spot. We stopped by to place an order to go there was a crowd but it wasn't too crazy. The line went by very fast. I went to eat here with a few coworkers for the first time last week. It's a nice little spot and you can tell they are just starting to get their groove. We ordered 3 pounds of shrimp, lobster, king crab plus potatoes sausage and order of Cajun fries and a clam chowder. Between the 3 of us we each paid about $40 each. The sauce and spiciness of our order was just right and their customer service was friendly. I wish they were a little quicker but I cant really complain because everyone was super nice. I was a little disappointed in the clam chowder and probably wouldn't order it again however the Cajun fries were AMZING!!!!! It's hard not to compare this place to the competition (boiling crab) since they are both similarly styled restaurants. As far as flavor goes, I think Kickin Crab emphasizes a pepper styled flavor, if that's your style. It's also much less buttery than boiling crab. The fries and calamari were super delicious! Although the amount of calamari was questionable for the amount you pay ($11). The service was pretty good. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
