I hadn't been to a Golden Corral in years. They seemed to have upgraded the menu with a few items I loved. The pot roast is always home-made style goodness, especially over mashed potatoes. I was surprised to have fried jumbo shrimp and beer battered fish and chips. Both were pretty darn good. They didn't bring out much fried chicken but the piece I had was good. I though it was clever to add jumbo hot dogs that look really very good. They're cheap to provide and very filling. I didnt touch the salad bar this time. Broccoli cheese soup looked good but they never refilled it. Service was just fine. It was nice to have cotton candy in the dessert section for the kids. For $22 bucks per adult on a weekend, I thought they offer a really good value. Really appreciated the fried fish of several varieties and the fried shrimp. The roast beef is super dry and tough. My brother-in-law was visiting from New Jersey for the holidays and wanted to check out Golden Corral. It has probably been five or six years since my last visit, so I was curious to see if much had changed. There were six of us dining on a Sunday afternoon, and as expected, it was pretty busy. We were seated at a table for eight, which was comfortable for our group. Terry took care of our table, helping with refills and clearing plates. He was very friendly and attentive, consistently making sure our drinks were topped off and the table stayed clean. I also appreciated seeing him interact with other families throughout the dining area. The food selection was decent and leaned heavily toward classic American comfort food. There were several protein options, including pot roast, chicken, turkey, ham, and made-to-order selections like steak and carne asada. Overall, the food was pretty good. I mainly focused on the proteins to get the most value for the price. Because the restaurant was so busy, some items would quickly run low or run out entirely, and there were noticeable waits at times for freshly sliced meats. In the end, the experience was solid but not outstanding. For the price, I would probably choose other buffet options in the future, especially Chinese buffets that tend to offer a wider variety, including sushi, seafood, and Mongolian barbecue. read more

Me and my property manager and his brother came to this Golden Corral in November 2025. I was not impressed by the surroundings as I have eaten in different Golden Corrals in Arizona and other states at least 100 times over the years. I noticed this Golden Corral which opened not too terribly long ago during Covid, 2021, already looks shabby. There are carpet rips underneath the chairs that have long loops of carpet yarn hanging out of the rips which is a trip hazard. And several of the booths have ripped cushions. The pictures below are from two different booths. The server was very good and attentive on the positive side, and the steaks were pretty good. But some of the other entrees were dried up such as the baked fish fillets sitting too long the juices and fish surfaces all got dried up. This Moreno Valley Golden Corral experience isn't as good as some of the ones I had that are consistently good in Arizona. I probably ate at Arizona Golden Corral's 100 times or more over the years that they were open. However every single one of those AZ Golden Corrals have closed. After we ate at this Golden Corral, the next month the three of us went to Lin's Asian buffet at Murrieta Hot Springs Rd and the 15 freeway in Murrieta. We like Lin's steak, which is charbroiled as well, much better than Golden Corral's. The price at Lin's is also cheaper . $20 for an adult versus almost $25 for Golden Corral. I was shocked how much Golden Corral's price went up. My manager said he will never go back to Golden Corral, after eating at Lynn's. He said Lynn's was a best buffet he's ever been to. But that Murrieta Lin's isn't nearly as good as the ones in Arizona that I've eaten at over 50 times. Well this review isn't about Lin's, but it reflects on my experience at this Moreno Valley Golden Corral, because I am comparing my buffet experience to Lin's. read more

BRONZE CORRAL? Because this place is NOT a winner in my book. It kind of pains me to say this, but the food was subpar. I had a great server and the customer ambiance was wonderful, however the rest of my experience was lackluster. My family and friends reserved a large table for a special event which was supposed to seat 30+ people. Long story short, the management did NOT honor the reservation, split us ALL up, and had a viper attitude. I was also disappointed in a few of the employees running around, they were literally face-timing instead of working! Is this sanitary girl? As for food, the buffet had several empty trays. I had to wait 25+ mins for ONE serving of Mac & Cheese, I was a bit disgruntled. Additionally, the seafood was bottom-tier, it tasted microwaved and oddly lukewarm. The fried shrimp was also off, I rather get shrimp at a fast food joint than here. The Red Velvet cake was drier than Palm Desert and had solid frosting. I only liked the soft serve and brownies! Went in with my clipp.com offer that I have used on multiple occasions. Filled up a container of food with steaks and bbq beans and went to pay for my purchase only to be told they no longer honor this deal that I purchased that they had advertised and used to lure me to their dingy restaurant. When the manager (one I had never seen before) told me they are no longer honoring the deal they advertised, she made no apologies or offer to get me to take the food, so they either took the 2.5 pounds of steak I had boxed up and threw it in the trash or violated the health code and threw it back on the grill, who knows. Why they wouldn't honor the deal rather than throw food in the trash is beyond me, but clearly these people are dishonest and just plain stupid. Clearly I will never eat at another Golden Corral. They are thieves and liars. Just to save other people the trip, if you have a clipp.com deal, this restaurant will refuse to honor it. Contact clipp.com and hopefully they will refund your purchase price. By the way, ignore the comment below. Came here on a late Saturday night to pick up food to go. Got a box and started adding things I liked. It's called their "weigh as you go". I got a decent box of friend shrimp and fries. It was tasty but the fried shrimp was heavily breaded. Also got a free cone to go with it overall staff is OK. Sunday is not Funday at Golden Corral. We got here at 1:52p and they charged dinner prices. Dinner prices start at 11:00am. Who in their right mind considers 11:00am dinner. Is lunch no longer a thing? The "dinner" price for one adult and a 13 year old was $60.00 but charged me for two adults. This place considers my 13 year old godson an adult. You'd also think that price per person would include a drink. Needless to say, i.got a refund for just me as I was here to celebrate a birthday. I'm not kidding- I've never had ice cream that tasted like air, there was NO taste, and I didn't have COVID, just standards. I added their fruit puree to help it out, there was no point....
