I got food poisoning from this place, the next day that I ate it, I started to feel woosey, and I ended up throwing up. The shrimp felt like were overcooked and were smooshey. The king crab legs tasted like they were in a pot with just the fire going and i can taste like "gas". I won't be returning to this place. 9/22 7:25pm Staff here is a joke! They move slow and does not feel the urgency that there is a wait on their list.. I saw 4-5 tables that were open. Staff taking turns to sit on the corner - guess it's their breakroom. And it wasn't even busy!!! The wait was supposed to be only 1-10minutes according to the waitlist on the yelp app when we signed up. We were already waiting for 30minutes when I followed up. There were only 3 on the list. Manager answered back rudely to the staff I talked to saying in a loud tone making sure probably for me to here it "bcoz they have a big party - 6!"They called a party of 4 before us who's only been waiting less than 10minutes. The manager said they were no tables but there were 2 long empty tables that were open. Mind you, this is not our first time eating here so we know where we usually sit. We like this place and enjoy the sauce here but with this bad service.. yeah we have other options. Oh, and when they saw that we were leaving, manager just looked at us and didnt care at all.. with his look, probably saying yeah, good! Don't want to deal with big party at this time.. Bad service: If you check in thru the machine, make sure you see your name on the waiting list and you get the txt. If not they will skip you and you will be waiting for ever. We told different people about what happened and they pretty much ignored us, they kept putting people in. A guy came out and asked for our name to sign us up and put us in the bottom of the list. I've only ordered take out and have never actually eaten in the restaurant but the food is really good. I have never had any issues as far as service goes they're pretty friendly. You do have to show ID when you go in to pick up your food so don't forget to bring that. We always order the shrimp with mild sauce it's delish! Visited this location last night 12-8-19 and it's 2 thumbs down for me. Showed up to an almost empty restaurant with about 15 people waiting to be seated. We waited around 20 minutes to be seated in an almost empty restaurant? Doesn't make sense. Their cajun Mild shrimp sauce was watered down to the max. My recommendation for any seafood boil is going with only shrimp, which gets you the biggest bang for your buck in terms of amount of protein per pound. However, kickin crab does have some combo deals if you want some variety. The sauce was a nice balance of salty and sweet. Some people in my party found medium heat to be too spicy so that's something to be mindful of. Biggest takeaway though: don't get the king crab legs. It was good, but just not worth the price. TT. Even if it was straight from Bikini Bottom. Stick to the shrimp, y'all. Maybe skip on the crawfish too. read more

I came here today with my Hun after work. We ordered the 3lb combo, 2lb shrimp & 1lb crawfish. We asked for all of the seasonings & mild spice level.. Here's what I think.. I think it needs more sauce! They are skimpy on the sauce that comes in the bag.. and it actually tasted watered down. Also, the Shrimp needed to be cooked a little bit more! The first time I eat at the Kicking Crab was at their orange county location many years ago. So me and my wife came to try their newest location in Moreno valley. Before I continue I must say that I have tried different locations of other restaurants that specialize in the same type of food and Kicking Crab was the very first restaurant of this kind that I tried years ago. That being said I'll continue with my Kicking Crab's experience. We got there as soon as they opened and got seated immediately, we ordered our drinks, We each ordered 1 pound of shrimp with all sauces combined in a bag. medium heat for me and mild for my wife, we also added one piece of corn in the cob an order of cajun fries and a cup of clam chowder. The shrimp was great! It was a good size, nice and firm. The sauce was lacking flavor so I added some salt to it and it tasted better after that. The corn in the cob was good, the clam chowder was good and the cajun fries were great! I absolutely loved their fries! They're shoestring fries with good flavor, nice and crispy! Great service, good food and the price are higher than other places, shrimp prices are listed on the menu as market price which means you can pay more or less every day. Overall a good experience, however if I can get the same quality of food and service at a lower price somewhere else... then that's the place to be! read more

This was my family's first time dining out since COVID and we even brought our 8 month old baby. The staff was kind and accommodating even though it was so busy. Let's start with this...It's just as good as the boiling crab! We've been looking for a a Cajun joint that could compare but failed multiple times. Sauce is not super thick and sweet like some wannabes. It is garlic butter based. I got a dungeness crab ($32) medium with Kickin sauce, so good with a nice spice. Hubby got shrimp w/ potatoes and was served a decent amount for a single pound. Definitely worth coming to if that's why you're reading this review. Thank me later. Also may I add that the wait is incredibly fast! No 2 hour waits here. Also good comes quick!! Edit: 5/11 Second round here, obviously delicious. Before we knew the service was good but this server went above and beyond. May not be a big deal to some but it meant a lot to us. Our baby dropped his pacifier and a server cam and picked it up, I put out my hand because I figured he would just hand it to me to clean....NO....he threw it away....kidding haha he asked if he could go wash it for us! parents know the struggle of the only pacifier. The batter was good and the fries nice and crispy. My husbands fish tacos were to his liking. When looking around the restaurant many people had the bags that you can create.
