The restaurant is large, spacious, and well decorated. We had a group of 8 and were seated right away on a Wednesday. We got there in time to order a few $5 apps from the happy hour menu. We all liked the elote fritters! The walleye and crab cakes were also good. We all tried something different. Between the NOLA Salmon, Ahi Tacos, Shrimp Cobb, Spicy Pasta, and even the cheeseburger sliders. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. They even brought out an Apple Pie for my dad's birthday! The only complaint I had is it was very slow. From ordering, to getting our food, and the longest wait was for our bill. With a 1.5 year old, we were eager to get going but waited about a half hour after finishing dinner to get the bill. Prices are pretty fair for the quality and quantity you get. Definitely would still go back, just not if we were in a rush!

First time here. I was attending a Yelp Event…read more I was super impressed with the store. I checked and there are lots of stores in the Chicago area but this appears to be the first in the Milwaukee area. It's a interesting concept. Everything is frozen, including meats, fish, vegetables and meals. There is a large selection of interesting, or what might be considered exotic foods. You can get cuts of Elk, Bison, and Venison. They have organ meats and oxtails. They have a large selection of shrimp, and some that are so big that you might mistake them for lobster. For many of the items, there are plenty of choices. For example there is not just one salmon or shrimp selection. They have at least 12 different types to choose from. For different locations, different types, different, and different types of production standards (organic, non-gmo, pasture raised, etc) The store is well organized. All of the standing freezers or wall units are neatly packed and well labeled. Pricing is easy to discern. It's easy to shop and find what you are looking for. I found the help to all be helpful, and friendly. The staff at the registers were patient, and chatty. I bought a couple of items, and looking forward to cooking up the pasture raised chicken (breasts) and the Gulf Coast shrimp. This is not my side of town, so it's a little out of my way. However, they explained that for $29 you can get a year of free deliveries. That's a great deal!

We couldn't even finish our crab cakes. I loved all the options it came with and the corn and seasoning were delicious. We also ended up taking advantage of the fish counter and got swordfish steak for dinner the next day and we liked the crab cakes so much we got more to bake at home. This will be a staple for us whether it's dinner at the restaurant or grabbing something at the fish counter to cook at home, which we have done multiple times now!

My Mom and I came here for a light dinner and ordered the crab cake and mussels appetizers as our entrees. Thinking that wouldn't be enough food, we added the arugula beet salad. Everything came out pretty quickly, and the mussels portion and salad were enormous. Each dish was excellent. The mussels, a recommendation by our helpful server, were especially good - the mussels were cooked perfectly, without an unopened mussel in the bunch, and the white wine-garlic-fennel broth was seasoned well and had the classic flavor I was hoping for. The only miss was that the bread provided was only barely toasted and a little chewy. The salad was a wonderful surprise: dressed properly with a nice vinaigrette, it had toasted pepitas, creamy goat cheese, fennel, and beets that were not overly earthy. My Mom enjoyed her crab cakes, which had a bit of a spicy kick. I wanted a little dessert and chose their Door County cherry ice cream. I would strongly recommend leaving room for it. It had a fantastic, creamy texture, tasting homemade. The ice cream itself had a natural flavor of almonds with a hint of cherry, was studded with dark chocolate and cherry pieces, and topped with a cute fish-shaped cookie. One of the best ice creams I've had. Like the food portions, it came as three big scoops, so it's good for sharing. The atmosphere is casual and fun, though be prepared for a pretty high noise level when it's full - not from music, but from everyone having a great time with friends and family. I'd recommend getting a reservation, and they're conveniently on OpenTable.

Came here recently with a group of six, and good thing we made a rez because it was full! Our server wasn't the friendliest guy around but still made sure we were taken care of. I personally stuck with water but half the table went with old fashioned. Everyone had the same note as to how very sweet they were. My husband and I shared the cubano sandwich and the buffalo cauliflower bites. Those cauli bites were fire, I could order those everytime and be happy! Wasn't the biggest fan of the cubano though. There was way more bread than there was fillings. Oh and I tried my brother's pizza! That was very good. I'll look forward to returning for patio season - great outdoor space here!

Another big determining factor was that they're very gluten free friendly and items are marked on the menu (gluten free or can be made gluten free). They also have non-alcoholic options if you or anyone in your party does not imbibe. We made a same day reservation for a party of 4 for a Saturday night dinner. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. The dining area was pretty small and it was almost full at 8 PM. They do have tables outside when the weather allows, and a bar, so that could be an option if you can't book a table inside. What we ordered, and our thoughts: Drinks: Cherry Spritzer (NA) , French 75 Food: Salmon , Blackened Tuna , Niçoise Salad with Blackened Tuna , Caesar Salad with Anchovies , Clam Chowder I would get the Niçoise Salad with the Salmon because it's much easier to break down with a fork to eat. My husband and I came in on a whim, and given that it was a Friday night we got very lucky being able to snag two seats at the bar. I love bar seating honestly, especially where bartenders are friendly, as they were. These guys knew what they were doing too, because they wiped up our craft cocktails in a flash. Moxie is kind of known for their martinis, and have a whole section on their menu for them, so naturally that's what I gravitated towards. I can't recall the name of the one I chose, but essentially it was Hendrick Gin, cucumber, and mint. So refreshing. My husband had a bourbon cocktail of sorts and really enjoyed it too. We weren't in the mood for full-dinner so instead shared the short rib medallions from the apps list. Those were tasty! Perfectly cooked braised short rib on top polenta medallions with bourbon-marinated peaches and cambozola cheese... what's not to love? We also had the caesar salad with chicken, which was crispy and hit the spot. Plan to spend a decent amount of $$ dining here, but you get what you pay for. All in all, a nice night!

Our waitress gave us some crisp bread for the table and a sesame roll which was my favorite and rye bread. The old fashioned was delicious. You get the option of soup or salad. I opted for the clam chowder and my goodness it was delicious. One of the best i have ever had i ate the whole thing with the sesame roll. I ordered broiled cod with potato pancakes however i think i was given walleye instead. I still ate it. It was absolutely delicious. The potato pancakes were perfection with applesauce. Definitely will be back and hopefully i can have the broiled cod next time. The regular fried fish is also delicious. Definitely a lot of locals here. This was a monthly brunch gathering with some good friends and having enjoyed the brunch in the past, I thought this would be a good place to circle back to after not visiting for a while, but boy has it gone downhill! Our waiter was super cute and very attentive but could not make up for the poor quality of the food that we had on this trip. My eggs benedict tasted pretty much like mustard over poached eggs and the ham was tough and flavorless. Not sure what happened but apparently everyone else got the memo as we were the only ones in the dining room the entire time we were there!
