I forgot to post our first visit to Dream Dance Steakhouse. Date night with an actual reservation in late November. We were seated promptly in a large curved booth. I have to say the lighting here is very poor. I would have liked to have just a little more to see the menu and food better! We had a bottle of Syrah wine. Our server was a very nice young woman with a good sense of humor. I had the Japanese A5 Wagyu Striploin which is a cut in unfamiliar with but gave it a go and was very pleased. Extreme tender (A5 wagyu will do that for ya!) served on a block of pink Himalayan salt. It was also served in perfect slices. On the side I had a lobster tail and asparagus. Disclaimer that I've only had nibbles at the bar, not a full dinner. Dream Dance is a little oasis, away from the loud casino. You can relax, have a glass of wine and forget for a moment that the goddamn King Kong machine ate your money. Staff has always been exceptionally nice, especially the manager who really knows his stuff when it comes to wine. Theres a strong "happy hour" that starts at 8pm with discounted drinks and food. I've had the shrimp cocktail - exceptional. Huge, clean, meaty shrimp - would order again. The wedge salad was very good but way overdressed Imo, I'd ask for it on the side next time. They have some interesting specials including dinner for 2 with wine on Sundays, and Prime Rib specials. Two thumbs up. read more

The food and menu was great however our server Francisco was not. He was abrupt and brusque to the point of almost being rude. Made us feel like we were not important to him. Assumed we had been told about the special by the host (we had not) and did not describe it when we asked just said "fish fry" and left. I would've have left a $50 tip on our $200 bill but instead left $30. He needs to learn that every customer is important, especially in a more upscale restaurant. read more

I had a fantastic experience at Dream Dance. The service was spectacular and the food was divine. Emily, our server, was so attentive. She explained dishes we asked about and gave us many recommendations on the sauces and appetizer. The assistant manager also stopped by to say hello and see how we were doing. We started off with a bottle of Vueve. It was so yummy and Emily kept on ice while we consumed it. I ordered the Surf and Turf. I was a massive amount of food. The filet mignon was cook as asked and the lobster was sweet and juice. We ended with coffee, the grass hopper pie, and banana fosters. We were pleasantly surprised when Emily made the banana fosters right in front of us. I have never seen it made table side before so this was a fun treat. I recommend Dream Dance to anyone wanting some steak or seafood fine dining while at the casino. I know I will definitely return the next time I am in town. read more

One of the finer places to go when enjoying a nice quiet night out for dinner. Orders included, bone-in ribeye steak, and Gulf Shrimp Scampi, with a side of asparagus. The steak was just so tender, juicy and very flavorful. The Scampi was very delicious also nicely grilled/sautéed shrimps, pasta was perfectly cooked Al dente. This is not a good restaurant. We made a reservation and confirmed the reservation. When we arrived, they said they didn't have a reservation for the 4 of us. I asked if they had a table available. They said no. I found my confirm in my text messages. I showed it to them. Then they found me. The restaurant was half full. There were empty tables everywhere. Our waiter was less than enthusiastic about his job. We felt like we were putting him out. The food was mediocre at best. We all tried the prime rib special. It was the only thing aside from the Petite filet that was under $90. The food seemed mass produced. The Caesar salad was just lettuce with a blob of Caesar dressing. The potatoe was cold with hard cheese on it that had been melted a while before it came out. The creamed spinach was just gross with a gloppy sauce. I remember this restaurant in its hay day which is long gone. Much better restaurants than this one. Don't waste money on this place. Definitely not worth the price. My boyfriend and I came in for Christmas Dinner and had a fantastic evening. We sat at a booth and it was a very intimate setting- We were in our own little world!. Fara was our waitress. What an exceptional server!! Very very personable. We let her be the tour guide to our experience and it was definitely a great decision. She picked out a great Pinot Noir for us- I had never tried it before and we enjoyed that with our Prime Rib/Shrimp Scampi Dinner. I will say that it was definitely Delicious!. Wow, haven't been here in 2+ years and thought we'd try again and did they up their game. Busy Sunday night after Valentine's Day and before a holiday. Had the Sunday feast. Great bread with 3 butter varieties. 2 Caesar salads, pretty typical but very good, nice thin slices of parmesan cheese. 2 perfectly cooked and tender small lobster tails, 32 oz Rib eye also cooked exactly as we ordered, medium rare and served with the bone removed, but on the plate with the beef sliced. I even chewed on the bone a bit! Plus a bottle of wine and two outstanding chocolate tortes. All for $120. Absolute bargain and everything was delicious. Service was good and atmosphere very nice. The Sunday night special is the best deal in town. You get there early and you can sit anywhere in the bar area. Service is prompt and not overwhelming. Despite getting to be quite busy you don't feel rushed. The bar is not too loud but not dead either. On to the food.... The newly amended menu has a 24 ounce New York Strip to share and 2 lobster tails. It comes with a Caesar salad to start, asparagus and mashed in the side and 2 desserts. An added bonus is the bottle of wine too which was a pretty solid quality. We've come for apps and drinks before and had good food and service. Hope to be back again sometime soon. read more

Steakhouse prices for just average food. I could of had a better steak for a fraction of the price at Texas Roadhouse. Appetizers were pathetic. Oysters were small and not served correctly. came in for christmas dinner and after 30 minutes receiving no service the waitress comes over to say "sorry I have the flu and they forced me to come in" just don't show up to work next time. it's not rocket science. Caesar salad was typical, the bread for the table was very soft and tasty with the butter, the steak was lightly seasoned and served t the right temperature, mashed potatoes were flavorful, and the shrimp as well. We were recently invited to have dinner with friends at Dream Dance Steakhouse. The atmosphere was comfortable and subdued. The waitstaff was friendly, unobtrusive and efficient. We selected the "Sunday Feast for Two". Given that it was advertised as their "special", we were looking forward to an excellent meal. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The bread we were served was hard, dry and seemed stale. Perhaps if it had been served warm it would have helped. The Caeser salads were fresh and good. The lobster tails didn't have much flavor, and they were overcooked and rubbery. The New York strip was tough, chewy, and dry. It did not have the melt in your mouth, juicy, full of flavor taste I would expect from a high-quality steak. It made me wonder what cut of meat it actually was. The whipped-butter mashed potatoes were bland and had an odd texture, almost like cream of wheat. I doubt they were made from fresh potatoes, more like something you would get from a box of dehydrated potatoes. The chocolate cake was a pleasant surprise. It was a generous portion of rich dark chocolate. This was our first time at Dream Dance, and overall, it was not an experience we'd care to repeat. There are too many great steakhouses in Milwaukee to make this a repeat. I would not recommend Dream Dance. read more

This was my third visit to the steak house. In my opinion it's probably the best place to dine in at the casino. The wedge salad minus the bacon was pretty good, blue cheese crumbles where on point. I had a lobster tail whole and tried a bit of the lobster Mac & Cheese. That wasn't good it was kind of no flavor to it and just weird tasting.They also have good amount of wine as well it's a good place to go to before going out to enjoy what the casino have to offer. Dream Dance is in a beautiful, newly designed space. It's dark, sultry and elegant. However to get there, patrons must still walk through the Potawatomi Gambling Casino, filled with cigarette smoke and people who shouldn't be gambling their hard earned money away. The place always depresses me, not the steakhouse, the casino. Dream Dance is a very good steakhouse, with a fine selection of meat, sides, wine, and libations. We dined with wonderful friends, which enhanced the experience exponentially. Yet, there are several great steakhouses in Milwaukee. If Dream Dance was downtown, I would frequent the bar and dining room just to enjoy the design. However, navigating that distressing scene in the casino isn't worth the trip to the Menomonee Valley. read more

I do not normally write reviews honestly because I don't like to blast anyone but I was specifically taken aback by this meal/visit so I would like to relay my observations. Firstly it took soooooo long! My party and I were on time for our reservation and seated right away. Unfortunately we waited about 20 minutes until we were acknowledged and given some water. About 10 minutes later we were given some bread and our order was taken. At about 40 minute mark we received our soup, no spoon, no drinks and no other silverware. We understand that a lot of restaurants at this time are very understaffed so we were patient (albeit a bit hangry.) Finally The supervisor came over and comped our drinks and we got silverware. It is what it is; all good. Secondly, which was more of a bummer, the food was not great. I was definitely disappointed when the actual meal came out. This is supposed to be a nice steak place with high quality steaks. (I was thinking maybe some great food could smooth over the pretty poor service?) It did not. We ordered the porterhouse steak for 2 which is like $135.00 and honestly it was mediocre at best. Not seasoned, the ends were gristly and a weird color gray. The "medium rare" in the middle was more like rare. Unappealing rare. There was nothing specular about this particularly expensive steak. Total bummer. You definitely do not get what you pay for here and I hate to say it because I had very high hopes! The sides were good though. Brussel sprouts were great and an A+ bearnaise sauce. But when the sides overshadow the steak at a steak place... it's no Bueno. All an all its nice atmosphere, run of the mill food and a long wait. If you're looking to get out to the casino in a hurry I would probably skip this place. The total time was about an hour and 45 minutes and the food was sub-par. Anyways the people were nice but this would be a pass from me on the second go. read more

Just because Dream Dance is in the casino it does not get the credit it deserves as a fine dining restaurant. I have been here several times and the food and service never disappoint. First, you MUST have their brandy old fashioned. It is one of the best I have ever drank. They muddle it with bloody orange bitters, sugar, and blueberries and then add the cinnamon stick as a stir stick. They got this recipe from one of the Korbel people and it is a winner! Second, their tasting dinners are incredible. Every year we try to go to the morel mushroom dinner. It is $85 per person which includes wine pairings and 4 courses plus dessert. They have other tasting dinners throughout the year but the morel one is my favorite. This year my two favorites on the menu were the flounder roulade with morel mushroom duxelles and the pheasant stuffed quail with truffled couscous and morels. The other menu items were very good but not as exceptional as the first two. If you have discounted Dream Dance because it is in a casino I dare you to give this restaurant a shot. Also, you can use your casino points/dining rewards to help offset some of the cost. read more

They have been closed recently for renovations. It doesn't seem like the reno has been for the front of the house and they are scheduled again for renovations in a week or two. The décor is the same as it's always been. The lighting is dimmed and the booths are private and romantic at the same time. My hubby wanted a burger and I wanted steak at first but they charge steakhouse prices. The cheapest being the NY strip steak about $28.00. I opted for the bone in pork chop instead at $20.00. You choose the side for anywhere from $3.-$6. The pork chop is substantial and was difficult to finish. Also the knife offered wasn't the best for this piece of meat. I found myself really having to press down on the table. The smashed potatoes come in a tin with the skins fried on top. You can choose the sauce complimentary. I chose a horseradish sauce. It's more like a dip that comes in the smallest container. While we waited we had the calamari. It's the best calamari we ever had! Tender, with a crispy crust. Served with pickled cauliflower and lemon. There was a bit of a sauce on top too that added to the flavor. The bread course was flat bread, rolls, and another bread. The soup was a carrot bisque. If they would have said they had French onion also, I would have chose that. We both opted for the house salad with dressing. They do have an extensive wine list here also. I was able to use a casino comp and my $25.00 meal credit here drastically reducing our bill. Otherwise, it's upwards of $50-100. They have a prix fix menu also at $50.00 per person. We have also dined at the bar several times for their burgers. They have a burger of the week that changes weekly. They do all their meat grinding in house. Each burger is made to order fresh. The Dream Dance burger was a fresh patty with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles. In the past we've had burgers topped with Brussel sprouts. Inge is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and patient. So if you are in the casino I highly recommend making an reservation (opentable.com) as this place books quickly. It's been a long time since I've written a review of Dream Dance Steak. I am not sure why, because I have been here several times. I guess I just figured repetition would get boring. The food and service is always top notch and nothing has really changed in that regard since my first review way back in 2008. My latest visit was a spur of the moment "I'm hungry" stop on my last night in Milwaukee. I sat in the Bar and started with a Pear Liqueur based Martini. Unfortunately, I forgot to note the ingredients, but it was light and refreshing. Since I had a huge salad earlier, I decided to focus on the Meat and ordered a Medium 8 Ounce Filet with Herb Butter. It was perfectly cooked with a great char on the outside. My steak came with a nice Bread Basket that included light, crisp flatbread and several other choices, but my favorite was a unique Curried Dinner Roll. It's been 7 years since my first review, but Dream Dance Steak continues to be solid 5 Star choice! read more

By far the best restaurant located inside the Potawatomi Casino. I've eaten here 3 times in total and been pleased with every single visit. It is a little pricey but you won't be left disappointed with your meal. Freshness of ingredients and steak cuts are high quality. Two of my visits here I've sat at the bar and ordered the Pinot Noir Burger. One of my favorite burgers in the city. Top cuts of steak are used to create this juicy tasty burger. Topped with fried onion strings and arugula with a Pinot Noir butter makes for a delicious combination. My other visit here consisted of filet with lobster. The lobster was the best I've ever had in the city and the steak was also very excellent. Tried a couple different kinds of dessert here house-made sorbets and ice cream and also creme brulee. All were pretty tasty but I have to give the nod to the creme brulee. Love dream dance don't come here a lot but when I do I've never been disappointed. read more
