This cafe has everything - Starbucks drinks to pastors to snacks and souvenirs. The women working there are so nice! I came here everyday during my 3 days work conference. I will say, it's a bit slow and usually just one person making the drink while the other makes the food. They do it one order at a time so it can be a bit of a wait.

This cafe inside Rancho Bernardo Inn has Starbucks! I found out on the last day I was there, otherwise I would've been there everyday. The lady working the counter (I think her name is Elizabeth?) is super sweet and cheerful. I ordered breakfast to go, and she even made the ham and egg sandwich over for me because a piece of bagel broke off when she was toasting it. I also had the brown sugar latte, and even though I've had the same drink at so many different Starbucks, it was by far the best at this location. I think because the lady made it like she is supposed to, and the Starbucks I usually go to just whip it up in a hurry. I really enjoyed getting the coffee here, it is literally the little things that impress me nowadays. Stop by if you want a take out breakfast or Starbucks while you're staying at RB Inn. I'm glad I did!

Love this semi secret place, but is well known I cannot keep secrets even more when they are sweet and pretty. Or pretty sweet, like this amazing coffee shop/patisserie/gift shop. I love coming here regularly to work when not in the office. The serotonin levels increase with the sound of birds, smell of flowers, freshness of grass and lucious plants and soft music too. Very very pleasant. The people working here are all super amazing and the pastries are the best you can get around the area. I am always so happy spending time here. Coffee is Starbucks. There is nothing not to like!

This is a tucked away little coffee/snack shop inside RB Inn. I only knew about it because of Yelp (thank you Yelp!). They're located to the right of the main reception check in area inside the lobby. I was happy they were open on the 4th of July. The nice girl working was welcoming and kind. We spent the day at the spa/pool and they don't serve coffee there. It's a bit of a trek to get here from the spa but worth it if you're jonesing for coffee. My iced coffee was made quickly. They use Starbucks beans I believe. The price was fair and the coffee tasted pleasant and smooth. The condiment section was organized, clean, and well stocked. Loved the little jars of mini honey too! There are also a few quaint tables with chairs by the windows. I think you can save $1 off coffee refills if you re use the same cup? So this would be a nice place to perhaps get some reading/work done if you're in the area.

I found out about this cafe through Yelp and I have to say it has the cutest little nook for studying or keeping away from the heat. It is a bit hidden since its located inside of the RB inn, but if you turn to the right from the entrance you'll easily find a pathway to the cafe. There are only about four tables inside but each of them have outlets and fast wifi to use. The cafe offers coffee made from Starbucks coffee beans and a couple of pastry options as well. The barista inside the shop was very kind and cheerful, which I appreciated a lot. I tried the honey b latte , which was sweet but not overwhelmingly sugary. I would recommend this cafe if you happen to be in the area and want to try a new environment for some quiet reading or to get some work done

I went here almost everyday I was staying at the hotel. It's a tiny cafe located next to the hotel concierge and they have all the essentials. They have coffee, lattes, teas, juices, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The food is a little pricey but that's a given inside a resort. I had the ham/egg/cheese sandwich and bacon/egg/cheese sandwich ($5) another time. Both were good. They're pre-made but they toast it for you and it's actually pretty tasty. My favorite thing about this place was the view. You can eat your breakfast inside and have a great view of the garden. They also sell souvenirs such as candies, snacks and stone glasses/sauces. Service was friendly and the lattes were on point.

Indoor seating of 4 tables total.

Decided to check this place out since I was in the area and needed a place to study. It is inside the inn so I had to ask for directions to the cafe. However it is relatively easy to find once you do. I got a honey b latte with one less shot and it was great! The employees are super nice. Summer hours they close at 7! There's not many tables though...

Cute little cafe tucked inside the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Great for early morning coffee, tea or expresso. They open @ 6am and close @ 6pm. They have sandwiches, fresh fruit, chips, protein bars, etc. Great to pick up something and take to the pool or back to the room to enjoy.

After sampling the above items, I have a monthly event that I attend nearby so I had a friend meet me after that event for happy hour here. I like pizza, deep dish or thin crust, round or square. It just depends on my mood, but since I've been wanting to come here for so long, I was excited to try their deep dish. When I arrived, it was a really hot day and there were a few people on the patio, but I preferred the air conditioned inside. There were a few other guests inside too. I was told to sit wherever I'd like so I sat towards the back. I ordered a happy hour glass of wine, which ended up being a Barbera. My other choices were sauv Blanc and a sparkling wine. When my friend arrived we ordered a small deep dish "where's the meat". We ordered the bacon on one side only. It took awhile as deep dish does. When it was brought to us I asked which side had the bacon and the girl didn't know. She said she would need to take gloves and find out and she disappeared with the pizza. About 10 minutes later she brought it back and said the side that had the bacon had Parmesan sprinkled on it. It was a bit haphazardly shaken on so the line wasn't clear, but we were happy to have it back so we could dive in. This pizza was worth the wait. I use to live in the Bay Area and there are some very good deep dish options there. I've also been to Chicago and had the real thing. The crust was crispy and a bit flakey. The inside was cheesy, meaty and saucy. The sauce had chunks of tomato and the cheese pull was great. When we left most of the tables were taken. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it even my non deep dish loving dining partner. We even had leftovers. In fact, last night we got regular crust pizza from the local neighborhood pizza spot we frequent and we both lamented that we wished it was the Shop deep dish. I think we're ruined now. I just wish it were closer.

Loved the outdoor patio with stunning golf course views and though it was warm out, the evenings cool off quickly to make the outdoor seating enjoyable! My daughter and I then shared two dishes - the beet and burrata salad and the yellowfin! Everything was delicious, fresh and a perfect portion! Great setting, delicious food and service! The rustic outdoor patio features red clay bricks that contrast nicely with the lightly colored stucco walls and earthy greenery. During our visit, we enjoyed live instrumental guitar music on the patio overlooking the beautiful golf course. As night settles in, the fire pit adds a cozy charm to the space. THE FOOD The kitchen focuses on Mediterranean and California-style dishes, utilizing many fresh vegetables from their on-site garden. While the presentation and colors were great, the kitchen did struggle a bit with some of the meat temperatures during our visit. * House-Made Guacamole & Salsa: Fresh and refreshing. * Shrimp Cocktail: Large, plump pieces served ice-cold with cocktail sauce and pickled vegetables. * Yellowfin Tuna Crudo: Very fresh fish served with pickled vegetables, an Asian-style sauce, and crispy plantain chips. * Grilled Ribeye: Served with a beautiful slab of béarnaise butter melting on top. Unfortunately, it was a rather thin cut and arrived closer to medium/medium-well rather than the requested medium-rare. * Grilled Pork Tomahawk Chop: A fairly large portion, but the edges were cooked close to well-done, leaving the meat a bit dry and lacking moisture. * Lamb Lollipops: The standout dish of the night! Cooked to a perfect medium-rare and served with a bright mint chimichurri. Warm, juicy, and flavorful. * Drinks: They offer a great indoor bar with a wide selection of wines and cocktails. I stuck with the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, which was full-bodied and paired well with the meat dishes. THE SERVICE The servers and bartenders are quite personable, though attentiveness can be a bit sporadic during busy times. A special thanks to our server, Ubaldo, who was juggling quite a few tables but still worked hard to keep our drinks full throughout the evening. OVERALL The Veranda remains a recommended venue for getting together with family, friends, and business colleagues. It is a great spot to enjoy music, fresh appetizers, and a beautiful golf course backdrop.

First, I had the cocktail of the month which was a blueberry version of mint julep. I liked the flavor, but it was much too sweet for me. I then looked over the menu. Most of the specialty cocktails sounded really seeet. I enlisted the help of our server to try to come up with something less sweet. I decided on the Pretty in Pink. Again, it had a good flavor, but was still too sweet. For food, a lot of things sounded good. I chose the artichoke piccata.. It was really good.
