We did the magical dinning at the Kitchen. The restaurant is nice with lots of cool memorabilia to check out, but still pretty casual. Our drinks were delicious, especially my aperol spritz! My husband really enjoyed his Braised Short Rib Ragout. My chicken was cooked well and was flavorful. The scalloped potatoes had a nice taste to them, but were a bit cold and not "fresh". We were stuffed, so we had our desserts to go, but they gave us the ice cream to eat as it doesn't travel. The kitchen is located in The Hard Rock Hotel, where we stayed at last week. We had breakfast here on day 5, our rest day. They had an all you can eat buffet and with that you get unlimited orange juice( fresh squeezed) and coffee. The hubby got eggs Benedict with the buffet and he said it was really good. He also got the Elvis Presley French toast. Looked really good and was sweet . They cooked to order as well , so I watched them make the French toast...2 baguettes, peanut butter, sliced bananas, and then caramel was drizzled and one more powdered sugar. The kids and I got just the regular buffet but you can have your eggs cooked as you want it and also omelettes were available. They had all kinds of cereal , bread, fruit, and pastries. This beautiful restaurant is right inside of the Hard Rock Hotel, which makes walking to get to it a nice little adventure with intriguing artwork and memorabilia to take in. The brunch is called an Acoustic Brunch because in the center of the restaurant they have an acoustic guitar player performing. Who doesn't like entertainment while eating? The food selection is broad and can appeal to almost anyone and it comes with unlimited mimosas, bloody mary's, coffee and juice as well. For the price of $39 per adult, that's reasonable. If you're a light eater, no worries, they have something for you too. They also offer a regular restaurant breakfast menu at the brunch. So if people in your party want brunch, but that'll be too much, then you can still join them eating something different of your choice. Due to the price for both the brunch and restaurant it's a nice place to go to every ounce in a while, but not regularly. Unless spending $100 for two people to have breakfast and leave tip is in your budget. I enjoyed the experience very much and I'm sure you will too. Was surprisingly unimpressive! I thought I was going to experience Hard Rock-level brunch dining but it did not meet the expectations. I gave it a 3 star because of our server David who was very friendly always making sure we had everything we needed. The live musician IG handle @Alex Cole Music was also stellar! The food was luke warm at best and the selections were slim pickings. Some of the hot plate lids were broken so it wasn't a comfortable experience trying to get the food. The hot chocolate was watery and tasteless - not a fan. The only food highlights were the mimosas and chocolate covered strawberries - but kind of hard to get those wrong. We had Acoustic Brunch here on September 17, 2023. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it! Channon was our server and did an amazing job. She knew the offerings well and brought us out gorgeous chocolate covered strawberries which we couldn't locate. We started with bottomless Mimosa and a Bloody Mary. Never thought to try a hotel restaurant as a local, but the seasonal Magical Dining led us here. And oh how glad I am! This place is delicious with original entree selections such as cauliflower rice with edamame, onions, shrimp and more. We went a little more traditional with filet mignon with broccolini and roasted fingerling potatoes in a Demi glacé sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy with fabulous flavor. The potatoes were slightly crispy with soft interior. And the broccolini was al dente. My husband ordered salmon with an orange glaze over asparagus risotto. The salmon was the best he had ever had (and he has dined on a lot of salmon). It was slightly crispy all over and flaked with your fork with a wonderful, just slightly sweet sauce. But the risotto disappointed as it was very bland. Another ordered burnt end pork macaroni and cheese. Large pasta sells with a creamy sauce topped with the yummy, crispy pork ends. Was as good as it sounds. With Magical Dining, you get an appetizer and dessert. Our table had roasted Brussels sprouts which had crispy outside in a slightly sweet marinade with small pieces of bacon. Oh my! The Ceasar salad was just as special with croutons a s cheese shavings. And the onion soup is as good as it looks. For dessert, we had the strawberry cheesecake in a glass. Don't bother. Bland. We also had crime brûlée which had a crispy top and fresh fruit. The blue mocktail with a crazy name I can't remember was really good. Vanilla ginger ale. Portions were large. And the service was attentive. We visit Universal Studios often, and always visit our favorites, Cowfish, Hard Rock Cafe, Krusty Burger, Finnegans... but this blew them all away. We slipped out of the park for the 5 min walk and we were so glad that we did. The prices were good for what we ordered when compared to the park. We started with calamari (ok, wouldn't do this again, for my kids) husband had shrimp tacos which he raves about, son had the Kitchen burger which he also raves about, (the fries were yummy), other son had the Margherita flatbread which was HUGE and he ate every bite (which is unusual) and I had the Turkey Club also really good. Where do I begin? Service, phenomenal. I wish I could remember our server's name. He was kind and attentive, without being over bearing. He was relatable and easy to talk to. He made the night very enjoyable! The food was outstanding as well. Our drinks were perfect, however, they took a little bit to come out. They were worth the wait though! I had the skirt steak with a side of truffle mac & cheese and I enjoyed every single bite. The steak was cooked to perfection and it was an excellent cut of skirt steak. My boyfriend had the lobster mac & cheese, which he also raved about. His only complaint was that he felt a little jipped on the lobster, unfortunately I agreed. However, it still tasted amazing! We were pleasantly suprised by the casual feel of the restaurant and it's coziness. I felt welcomed and comfortable here. The host was kind and accommodating, even though we asked to move tables. I always feel like a pain doing this, but she had no hesitation at all and did it with a smile. To me, this restaurant is perfect. This restaurant was suggested by the staff at Lowes Royal Pacific. When the Tomahawk Ribeye was mentioned, it was game on. The kitchen is located in the Hard Rock Hotel. Due to inclement weather, we had no choice but to walk. Upon arrival, the hostess noticed we were celebrating and ensured we were seated in a perfect location to watch the kitchen magic. But that's where the even got even better. Zainab was our server, and she Rocked our world. (Pun intended) She was simply amazing. We felt completely relaxed and in great hands. We ordered a Malbec which fantastic. A 2020 ZOLO from Argentina. The wine had fruity notes and a wonderful following. Needless to say the bottle didn't make through the evening. We shared the ribeye and even though I ordered medium it arrived rare in the center. The stake was presented with sauce and three rubs on a board. See the picture attached. The cut of the meat and the fact the stake did not appear to have been prepared with any seasoning is the only ding I have for this restaurant. We ate every bite we could, and took everything left with us for breakfast. That should say a little something. Back to the staff. Zainab deserves a 6 out of 5 stars. Keeping the customer in good spirits is a gift. This is certainly her forte. Thank you again for making our celebration a memorable one. Can't wait to be seated at your table very soon. read more

The Kitchen is a convenient place for dinner when you're staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. We arrived around 5PM on a Saturday because we were staahhhhving, and thank goodness there wasn't a wait! The restaurant was actually pretty empty. The hostess seemed like she really didn't want to be there, but our waiter was friendly and quite attentive. We ordered the Margherita Flatbread and the Mac & Cheese as entrees. Both were great portion sizes! The flatbread tasted fresh although it could have used a little seasoning. We ordered the Mac & Cheese with bacon on it, and it was soooo delicious. Love the crispy, buttery cracker topping that coats the shells. Definitely recommend coming for dinner if you are tired and just don't want to walk to City Walk. read more

And I loved that they had the option to order off the menu, my mother in law doesn't eat much, so it was great that she was able to just order toast and it wasn't the whole buffet amount. Located at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal's Orlando Resort, the Kitchen is the "heart & soul" of the Hotel. If you love the hard rock, then you're going to love the kitchen. The entire restaurant is covered with memorabilia that continues to spill out from the hotel. No question that there's plenty of stuff to look at! I've eaten here for dinner quite a few times, but typically we run through for the breakfast buffet on the way to Universal. There is quite the cornucopia of breakfast going and it's stayed fairly much the same for a long time, but that's a good thing because really for the most part everything on the buffet is really good. They've got just about everything you'd expect: meats, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, waffles, omelets, a mountain of fresh baked goods and some pecan sticky rolls that will BLOW YOUR MIND! If you have kids, then listen up....before 9am kids only have $6.50!!!!!!! I wanna say adults are like 15 ish (come on when you're in vacation mode....the dollar signs get hazy). It's actually a very very good value. Dinner time, the restaurant is priced at what you would expect for a hotel, but the food is good. There are some signature dishes like "twisted Mac" that is great and a long time favorite at the Kitchen. There is a character breakfast, but the days vary so make sure to check. Last I saw it was Tuesday or Thursday. Make sure to get your parking validated if you go there. It's $35 per day (not overnight) to valet the car and only $5 w/ validation from Kitchen, Palm or Velvet Bar. PS - To anyone under the misconception this is brunch. We are staying at Hard Rock, and just wanted to leave a review about how much we enjoyed our dinner here. After having some okay meals, made reservations, my husband, two sons (12 and 8), and me after our Volcano Bay day. It was probably a slower night (Weds). The Magicians they have coming to tables were great entertainment. All the food came out hot and quick. Older son had macaroni and cheese (said best ever, 12 yo) my younger son had pizza (enjoyed). Husband had burnt ends mac and cheese and loved as well. I had the seafood bolognaise. Server warned it wouldn't have big chunks of seafood, and he was mostly right, but I absolutely loved it! It was very rich, but very tasteful. We wound up getting desserts, which we really do not normally do, and everyone loved them. False advertising ruined our evening. We are staying at a sister premier property and made reservations earlier in the day here based on the online menu and description of the restaurant. We arrived on time to find the actual restaurant was closed for renovation SINCE A MONTH AND A HALF AGO and there was an "alternative experience" in an interior ballroom that was all barbecue. Not at all what we chose. Neither the hostess, front desk or concierge did more than say "oh gosh so sorry, I can't believe that menu wasn't updated, etc." - didn't offer reservations at any other Universal restaurant, a credit on-site, nothing. Oh, one did recommend the pool bar which literally had litter on the floor and was surrounded by the expected pool crowd and noise. We hustled over to Citywalk via boat, all the while trying to reserve within the next 45 minutes for two ppl. Being a holiday week, all sit downs were booked solid. Our original reservation was within the 7pm hour and the earliest available was 8:45. We understand it's a busy week which is why we made reservations. We also understand the hotel and restaurant has menus on multiple sites but this is a premier property and we imagine there is a robust marketing department that would ensure all representation is accurate. You can definitely get your money's worth if you arrive hungry, Waffles, pancakes, specialty orders, omelets are all made to order and everything we ordered was delicious. There's also pastries, a carving station, fresh fruits, cereals, and even specialty desserts. Unlimited mimosas and Bloody Mary's are only $10. Service was attentive, the atmosphere is casual and perfect for people who love Rock n Roll, but the decor is much more subtle than The Hard Rock Cafe. The Kitchen is a short 10-minute walk from CityWalk and far removed from the crowds and the noise of the theme parks. And the food is better than most of those places too. Friends brought us down over here for a quiet sit-down lunch, the place was mostly empty so there was no problem getting a seat. My wife got the Tuna Nicoise salad which came with seared tuna instead of the usual canned tuna. It was delicious. I went with a classic burger and fries and it was a really good, really juicy burger. I also sampled an Old Fashioned and have to say it was a wel- done drink. Too much ice so it got watered down pretty quickly but was still very good. To find The Kitchen, walk down the path to the right of Universal Studios entrance towards the Hard Rock hotel. The buffet is in my opinion one of the best in town, the corned beef hash is my favorite, there is a variety of meats, eggs, potatoes as well as oatmeal, grits, biscuits and gravy, pancakes and baked goods, fresh fruit and yogurt. However , when brought to the servers attention his response was "we don't even have any females working here". The waiter was excellent and very helpful with the menu and any and all questions asked about the restaurant, hotel and general area. I had the BRAISED SHORT RIB RAGOUT and the wife had the JOYCE FARMS CHICKEN. They were both two of the best dinner entrees we ate that week. We literally cleaned our plates they were so delicious. For dessert the wife had the carrot cake and I had the KEY LIME CHEESECAKE and both desserts did not disappoint. We will definitely be eating here again the next time we vacation in the area. Our daughter & granddaughter had bragged about this place for years so we decided to give it a tryout. First we had an outstanding Server, Jose (2333) who gladly shared with us suggestions on the menu when we asked him. We decided to begin with some Mozzarella Patties with Marinara Sauce like my dear grandmother would make. Super delish! Then our daughter & granddaughter split a Caesar Salad that was Ranch Dressing which the adored! That salad was so huge!!
