Service was great, food was ok. In general, food was prepared well just lacked salt and refinement. For example, the short rib dish. Served in the wrong bowl which made it hard to eat. Needed salt and herbs. Meat should have been trimmed as it was 50% fat. Bowl and lighting made it difficult to tell the difference and took a couple of bites of pure fat which was not appetizing. Mushroom ravioli was the best part of the meal. Gravy was thin, and weak... thickening it with butter/flour with herbs would have been much better. read more

I have been here twice with a friend for the 1/2 off wine night. The food is good but the staff is very unwelcoming. It was not a busy night at all and we walked in and sat at the empty bar and was immediately asked by who seemed to either be the owner or manager "did you make reservations because we are short-staffed!" I came here with family while on vacation and the whole experience was a failure on their part. There didn't seem to be a wait but a manager told us there was a wait and that they were very busy and didn't know how long the wait would be but to stand by. We finally got to sit down and took forever to be greeted. Drinks took a long time. Service was slow and the wait staff seemed to be under pressure. Menu is over priced in my opinion, especially for the tomahawk that wasn't so amazing. The lamb chops were way too salty and when I said something to the server he apologized and said that not everyone has the same palate and didn't even offer to look at the menu or get something different. I didn't eat my dinner but still paid for it. I can't predict how someone else's experience will be but I certainly won't be back with my family. We once again had a lovely time dining here last night. We ordered the duck wings (we always gets these... so yum), scallops appetizer, cucumber tomato salad and the Red Fish. Everything was absolutely delicious. The scallops and fish were cooked perfectly. The service was on top of everything, super friendly, wearing masks and following social distancing. Party of 4 parents out for the night with no kids decided to stake our bets on getting in on a Saturday night and we won! The old fashioned drinks we ordered were really good, along with the dish pronounced Beneli (flatbread). Delish sausage and cheese toppings. We all ordered salads, the wedge and the field greens and again, so stellar! The small plates options are perfect after already having some snacks and apps. We have a group of women and we planned our annual monthly night out because we've heard great things about this place. There was 7 ladies. No one was inappropriate and there was no bad language, yet two tables moved out of the front room immediately where we were seated, and they were extremely rude to us. In fact one of the women flicked us off as they left. We asked to be moved to another location so that we could have a more private space and there wasn't one they would shift us to. The manager asked us to be quiet as well. We were not belligerent or drunk at ALL but we were trying to have a good time--which is impossible at this restaurant. If you want a fun environment and not to be asked to be quiet like you are in daycare then do NOT go there. Unfortunate..... because food was great and our server Jeremy was amazing!!! read more

We went two weeks in a row to this excellent restaurant in downtown Safety Harbor. I had the MOST delicious Poke Bowl with tuna! My husband had Scallops with Shrimp in an awesome sauce with ravioli stuffed with squash. Our waitress Wendy and she did a great job too. Definitely THE place to go in Safety Harbor. Our first visit to the kitchen was wonderful, drinks were great and server attentive. Friday we decided to go there again and we were completely disappointed. The drinks remained good but the food and service was mediocre at best. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was nothing but a grilled chicken breast on orzo. Great atmosphere, friendly service & Amy was wonderful (personable & attentive). The drinks were also stiff However, the menu was all over the place. The fish spread was tasty but overpriced for the serving size. The duck wings were on point. We ordered the "G" for our 8 year old & it was probably the best item we had. I had the short rib pot roast which was over salted for a person who adds salt to everything. My husband had the steak Dan with the "secret sauce" that was completely underwhelming. We wanted to like this place but unfortunately the food fell short. On a positive note, they took off the short rib after we mentioned it was salty (was not expecting, so thank you!) This is the former Green Springs that was reinvented utilizing the old menu with a new tapas style flare. The wedge is a great salad with one of the better blue cheese salad dressings out there. The shrimp and grits with kielbasa was extremely good with lots of flavor. The rest of the meal is somewhat mediocre though. The salmon was dry and lacked any flavor, while the saga ali and bread was just ok. In the past we got the risotto which was decent, while the skirt steak was drowning in oil. For every great dish we have experienced here, there has been another that was ok. Either way it is a fun vibe worth trying at least once to form your own opinion. read more

I will never go back to this restaurant. The Poke bowl I had for dinner was small, flavorless and expensive. My husband's red fish was dry and little flavor. The service wasn't great. We were told it would take an extra 30 minutes for any sushi order, an appetizer was forgotten and one entree was brought out long after the others. My mother and I went out for her birthday dinner last night and I have to say I was not blown away. I think that the food was outstanding, the Gumbo is an absolute must. The Red grouper was great, the only criticism is it could have had a better sear and the Brussels were very soft and soggy.. The disappointed came from the service. It took about 10 minutes to have a server greet us in which we weren't sure it was our server because they never really said they were going to be taking care of us. She was very pleasant and friendly and I just think she could really use some more training and menu knowledge. She had a very hard time answering any questions or making any recommendations. Also she claimed the Red grouper was farm raised which thankfully is not possible and you never want to boast a fish being farm raised.. she constantly has to "go check to see what we have left" whenever we asked a certain question about the menu... We ordered a decent bottle of wine and she began to open it while it stood on the table. Again constructive criticism but, a bottle of wine should never touch the table when you are presenting and opening for a guest. Lastly none of our meals were coursed out, our salad came out first, then shortly after came the gumbo and not even 3 bites into the gumbo our main entree was out. A bit frustrating to eat cold grouper. All in all I think it's an excellent restaurant and do recommend! I would just advise a more thorough training for the wait staff in which they know the menu up and down, understand proper wine service and can properly course out a dinner in an timely fashion! read more

What a great discovery! Visiting Safety Harbor, we found Kitchen at Green Springs on a fluke...7 of us gathered to celebrate a milestone birthday. We were absolutely blown away! EVERYTHING, from the scallops, to the amazing sweet potato mash, hush puppies, perfectly cooked mahi and grouper, imaginative and terrifically complementing sides and sauces, we all cleaned our plates! At some point, we had mentioned that it was a celebration, and our server paid attention and brought the birthday girl's dessert with a candle! Wonderful service, lovely atmosphere and some of the best food we've ever had. We want to come back to Safety Harbor just to try all the dishes that we couldn't get to this time! BRAVO! read more

While I really enjoyed the sushi, sangria and crab cakes that we had here, this place clearly does not want to be bothered by having to serve food to customers. We stopped by around 845 on a Saturday night. Place was totally empty besides one table signing their check. The hostess was very nice but it was apparent we would be the only ones there and we didn't want to impose so we came back earlier the next weekend, 8 pm. The service was good to start but by 9 when we had just ordered another pitcher of sangria and gotten our entrees, our server told us the kitchen was closed and dropped our check off. They're supposed to be open until 10. We didn't mind paying before finishing our meal but once we did, our server disappeared into the kitchen where the staff was all hanging out. Didn't even say anything like please let me know if you need anything else. We sat there in the empty restaurant listening to the party going on in the back and eventually felt so uncomfortable we left without finishing our food. Very disappointing, maybe if you get there by 6 they'll actually want you there but in this case we dropped well over $100 and a $40 tip just to be made to feel like an imposition. read more

We were there last night. My wife and I were out walking around Safety Harbor and stumbled upon this place. They were busy but we were lucky and were seated immediately with no reservation. We loved the restaurant, the menu and the service. We both had small plates which was perfect for us. Beer was ice cold with frosted mugs!!! We will definitely be back! I am a foodie and love Edison's in Tampa. Originally, had plans to have brunch at Edison but decided to stay local and come here. Biggest disappointment! I had looked at their menu online before we came and was excited. Which quickly changed when we arrived and saw that they scaled down their menu to nothing for the day. Husband had eggs Benedict and was not memorable Biscuits and gravy I make it just as good. Had scallops which were ok but wanted to order more but nothing else to chose. Also, note bottomless mimosas are not worth it. Hard to get refills and mostly OJ. When complained about menu maybe get something else on regular it was a no. Please note they were not busy at all. Still starving went to another favorite Parts Of Paris and was then happy. read more

I have to take a second to rave about this place. It's hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area. Let me start by saying how top notch the customers service is. My boyfriend and I, and a few of our friends came in for dinner and drinks last night. We had my son who is only 4, although they don't have a kids menu they still have great side options to keep those hungry mouths happy. My son ask the waiter for a waffle, which is not on the menu (only on their brunch menu). The waiter nicely told him they didn't have any waffles and suggested something else. A few minutes after placing our appetizer orders the female manager came over (which I forgot to get her name) whispered in my ear that the chef could make my son a waffle. The smile on my sons face when that waffle came out to the table meant everything, he was so happy. It's hospitality like this that makes for a great restaurant, customer satisfaction, and most definitely a returned guest. Favorite dishes are the scallops over sweet potato mash and shrimp and grits. The grapefruit sangria is out of this world, and the salted caramel cheesecake to die! finally went back for a late Valentines Day dinner last Wednesday and let me tell you I still love this place! this is definitely one of mine and my boyfriends all time favorite restaurants, if not #1. food and service are always amazing. location is prime. sushi is on point!! since we came on a Wednesday they were having their 2 for $15 sushi combo which includes a seaweed salad, 2 basic rolls and a small hot sake. I've had their specialty rolls before which make their basic rolls almost look laughable so I wasn't expecting much, however, the basic rolls beyond exceeded my expectations. the Kitchen really is the perfect spot for a date, with great ambiance, great service and even better food. it being located in Downtown Safety Harbor is the cherry on top. for a pricier place you can definitely plan a reasonable date night out of the deals they offer. excited for when I'm able to try out the $9 Poke bowl deal on Tuesdays and $18 Mule Pitchers on Wednesdays. always, always looking forward to my next visit! read more

This restaurant had a chance to be a gem in the neighborhood but abrupt/rude onsite management and unfriendly bartenders clearly do not value repeat customers. The food is okay (some dishes are pretty good, however, I've tried the Cornish game hen twice and both times it was very dry/disappointing). The wine is extremely expensive ($18 for a nice cab). Just not worth spending this kind of money to be treated so poorly. I'd highly suggest trying one of the many other truly exceptional Safety Harbor restaurants instead! read more

When we arrived there was only 2 tables with people. By the time we ordered there was us and one other table. I order the snapper and the other person in my party ordered the filet. Mine came out close to 20 before the filet. The time was terrible, we barely saw our waiter and when the filet came out we asked for a to go box because I was done eating. The waiter wanted to give us a free dessert. One of us hadn't eaten our entree so why would we want dessert. I would not recommend this place. To expensive for what they offer. read more

Wonderful dining adventure. The food was fantastic and the restaurant is in a cozy old Safety Harbor home (as are a lot of places in SH). Everything is served tapas style, so your meals may not come out together, but they were all served pretty close together. We had the red grouper, game hen and a risotto - all the food was delicious. Desert was a berry cobbler a la mode and the other was the frozen key lime pie - also both quite tasty. Definitely returning as we saw lots of things on the menu to try. read more

From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we knew this was going to be a special time. The wait staff was very friendly, proficient and professional. We ordered several small plates to share and they were all excellent. Get the scallops over the sweet potato mash - Amazing! Our dinners were served as they were ready so they were all piping hot. I had the pork chop with chef made apple with pine nuts chutney. It was Delicious! Another member of our party had the Mahi Mahi, he said "it was to die for." The crust was perfect and delicious. We have a suburban moms group that does a girls night out monthly. So I made the reservation for the 7 of us last night. When we arrived it was a quaint old wood house that was charmingly restored. They sat us in a room with 2 other 4 top tables. The people at the tables apparently thought we were too loud. We were excited to see each other and share what had been going on this summer. We were not intoxicated or using profane language. We were talking. At one point the hostess scolded us telling us to lower it down. I felt like I was being yelled at by my mother. It was totally inappropriate. She should have come to our table and told asked us in a polite way or offer to move us. We actually asked to be moved 3 times but our wonderful waiter said it was not necessary. This place has absolutely no insulation. Not only was it hot but it is why we sounded loud. The restaurant is for a couple that whispers to each other. The Salmon I ordered was not good. No flavor and dry. We spent $1000 there last night and what do we get- we get flicked off by a patron for just talking to our friends. I will never come back again. read more
