Carb-up Sunday was in full effect at our house, and today's choice was Cluckin Chicken solid decision. We started with the wings: 12 lemon pepper and 12 with no rub. Both were incredibly savory and packed with flavor. Next up were the tenders, which ended up being our favorite super meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. The mild spice level was the perfect choice. The combo comes with fries, and the mac & cheese was delicious and comforting. Service was great too and Parking wasn't bad, though I can see it getting a little tricky during peak hours. My husband & I are a huge fan of this place . However this past weekend we placed an order for pick up through their website , when my husband showed up they looked at him in confusion & asked what he was talking about . He proceeded to show them the pick up order , they had no clue that we had placed an order . We showed up 15 minutes past the original pick up time just incase they were busy ! My first time here over this past weekend. The food was very underwhelming. I got the 24 piece wings with half hot and half plain. The wings came out fairly fast. I don't think I waited past 5 minutes to get my food. Once I got home, I noticed the wings seemed a bit dry. I took a bite into the hot wings first and noticed it was a little too salty. The wings were dry as if it was precooked and fried again. I'm guessing this is why it came out so fast. The plain wings were underseasoned and suffered the same dryness to the wings. The wings reminded me heavily of the Little Caesar wings. I'm not one to particulary waste food by throwing them out so I did finish it, but I was extremely disappointed by the quality of the wings. Just found out about this place so I had to try them out. I love chicken sandwiches so it's a no brainer for me. 1. Portions are huge. Combo 2 is a great value and can feed two people. Comes with a good portion of fries as well. I also like their tenders. I ordered the 5 piece and it comes with fries and slaw. This would probably feed 5 kids or 2 adults easy. Keep an eye out on the sauces for both of mine were spilled on the drive home. 2. Quality and taste was pretty good. If you are all about the chicken then you might be a little disappointed. I found some dry parts in my chicken in my chicken sandwich. I do believe the other chicken shops have juicier chicken. I found the tenders were better cooked but it might just be an off day for the sandwich. 3. Sauce: I really liked their sauce. I didn't like Dave's Hot Chicken or Angry Chicks' sauce for I found it to be too bland. I'm all about the sauce so this was pretty good. 4. The spicy level isn't crazy here. It's on the mild side. Rolled the dice on this spot a few weeks ago and had a good experience. It didn't blow my mind but you may feel differently upon visit. Picked up a few items to try and had a great experience with the service staff who were really helpful in prescribing some must try items. Hot dog had a good snap to the casing and the fries were tasty. The chicken wasn't dry which is always a good thing but by the time I got home, the crispy breading probably softened due to the moisture in the packaging. That's my fault. I really enjoyed my meal here! I started craving hot and spicy chicken after weeks pf eating salads. I turned to Yelp and found this location close to where I was at the time. I got in my car and sped over. Parking is easy as it's located in a small strip mall. I walked it and was met with the friendliest person behind the register. I told him I'd never been there before and I was excited to give it a try. I ordered a Kluckin' Bowl extra spicy (but not fire). It's spicy chicken over cole slaw, pickles, fries and it's covered in their special sauce. It was absolutely delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The ambiance is casual and the service I received was probably one of the most polite and attentive I've encountered. I recently ordered from here and had a good experience overall. Similar to other hot chicken type places, they offer their version of it in the form of a sandwich, tenders, in a quesadilla, tacos, wrap and in a bowl; the last 4 being unique offerings. Sides such as a mac & cheese, fried pickles, fries, and coleslaw round out the menu. There's a little bit of seating inside if you choose to dine in. The parking is part of a strip mall type area with other businesses and there should be enough parking. Kluckin Tenders 5 Piece With Fries & Slaw: I did the tenders as mild and it had a good little kick but I'm going to jump into the hot level next time and try that out. The chicken was juicy, so no complaints there! I wasn't a big fan of the batter but maybe due to doing takeout and it being in a box the crunch factor may have gone down. I really loved the crinkle cut fries and the seasoning they put on there. The slaw was ok, but I think I would have liked a bit more of a creamier dressing and the bitter factor of the cabbage may have been a little bit more than I'm used to. There were two sides of a sauce served for the chicken and fries and its quite good; it's a creamy and slightly spicy chipotle aioli type sauce. Kluckin Mac & Cheese The noodles are a bit longer than what I'm use to and the sauce is on the waterier side. It was ok but I don't think I will order this again. The food is already pricey but then they have the audacity to have the payment machine set up to ask for an additional tip. It's difficult to navigate if you don't want to leave a tip. In and out is successful and they don't ask for tips. This is just a huge turnoff for me especially because the person behind the counter is always watching you as you uncomfortably try to navigate around the tip. I just hope the food is good as the whole process has made me feel thus far. It's 9:15 at night and it feels below zero in the joint.
