The Dave's Not Chicken (cauliflower) is delicious. You can get it as a tender, slider, mini slider, loaded fries you name it. It's delicious each time with an adjustable spice level. Haven't gotten to interact with many employees because I usually order on the self serve kiosk which is also a nice option. I appreciate that they offer the cauliflower as an option! They took it off the menu for a while. The staff was very nice! The place has high foot traffic so always seems a bit on the dirty side and their bathroom was broken and being fixed when I was there. (Nothing like eating while the bathroom door is open and they are snaking the toilet... The food is very heavy, high in calories and overall hard to justify eating. The prices are also very expensive. It's not a place I will frequent often but if you need that fried food experience it's worth a consideration. read more

We've dined in and done takeout here a few times now, and it's always been consistently good. The chicken is flavorful, portions are generous, and the prices are great for what you get. They're also always adding new items, which keeps it interesting. Today I tried the loaded fries (small), and it was the perfect size for me--so delicious and satisfying. It was also my first time trying the mac and cheese, and it was super saucy and really good. My husband got his usual 2-tender plate, which is always a hit. Was in the mood for chicken strips so I stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken in Northridge. I ordered a two tender combo. The combo however, did not include a drink FYI. That's fine, I just ended up ordering a small drink. First impressions: I was impressed by the size of the tenders- they were huge! They were perfectly seasoned and the chicken was fresh. You can tell it had just been prepared and it wasn't sitting out long like other food places tend to do. The fries were fine, they were super fried. I tend to prefer mine not as crispy but they were still really good, especially with the "Dave's sauce" that comes with it. I was ecstatic to see how generous they are with the side of pickles, perfect addition to an already delicious meal. Service was excellent, they were very friendly and attentive which I truly appreciate because these days all we get are Gen Z stares when we ask questions (lol, kidding, but not really). I was pushed out of the way by a customer who verbally assaulted me and was screaming at me .i am 68 years old. I asked them to call 911 and they refused and did nothing to protect me. This was horrible. They watched what was happening and then said they saw nothing so they lie as well. The fries were really good and the portion was plentiful. The chicken was very tender. I was hoping for more slaw on the sandwich. There were only a couple pieces of slaw and a bunch of pickles. Decided to try their new "saucy bites" but when I got home, there was no sauce at all. When our order was called for pickup, we waited a few extra minutes because she was waiting for the bites (maybe they forgot it in our order or something). Got the hot honey teriyaki bites and it looked dry as a bone. I was skeptical because we didn't get any extra sauces, thinking I wouldn't need it. Turns out the hot honey was at the bottom but only very little, couldn't even dip anything. No sign of teriyaki, sadly. Poor management! The staff is working very hard so no issues there. But I waited one hour and ten minutes for food that I had ordered online. No issues with the food, but it's unbelievable that no manager was available to monitor the foot traffic. Why wasn't a manager on site to provide a coupon or something to the many people that had to endure these ridiculous wait times? Fast food? Even after my name appeared on the pickup board as ready, the food still didn't come out. Meanwhile, The Yard House had my family's other online order ready in 15 minutes that same night. What a total crap show this place is. Workers lose orders, screw over delivery drivers, and aren't at all friendly or helpful. Food is over-priced freezer tenders they charge you more for because it's spicy. Fries are limp and not crisp. The place is always busy and has a ton of people. Very little parking in the lot and hardly ever a spot on the street. Dont go here. Definitely dont order delivery from here unless you want your food given away to random people. Don't be a delivery driver who picks up here because they'll give your order to other people and shut the window in your face. Say bye to your fare and any money!
