The server taking my order with the studio ghibli nails was so sweet! Thanks for your patience and recommendations as I was picking out my order! The vanilla cold brew and kolache are yummy!

If you've never had a kolache before, The Kolache Cafe is a pretty delicious introduction to a pastry with a surprisingly rich history. Kolaches originated in Central Europe and were brought to Texas by Czech immigrants in the late 1800s, eventually becoming a staple of Texas breakfast culture. Traditionally they were sweet pastries filled with fruit or cheese, but Texas gave rise to the savory versions many of us know today -- sausage, egg, cheese, jalapeño, brisket and beyond. Walking in around 10:30, there was plenty of parking, no chaos, and the café itself was spotless. The kind of clean where you immediately feel comfortable ordering "just one thing" and somehow leave with a box full of kolaches. The customer service deserves its own moment. Everyone was upbeat, patient, and genuinely happy to explain the menu without making you feel rushed. They somehow manage to make first-time customers feel like regulars and regulars feel like family. In a world where some breakfast spots act personally offended you showed up hungry, this place was refreshingly welcoming. If you usually lean sweet, do yourself a favor and try the savory items too. The soft slightly sweet dough paired with savory fillings just works. It's comfort food, road-trip food, and "I'll grab one for later" food all rolled into one. Arizona may not be Texas, but this place absolutely understands the assignment.

A chance find while we were driving to Starbucks. Had never heard of Kolaches before, but when you enter the store there is a sweet pastry fragrance that greets you. We tried the combo pack with three savory and three sweet Kolaches. Was plenty of food for our family of five. The Kolaches were soft with generous fillings of eggs and meat. The sweet Kolaches had fresh fruit fillings that weren't overly sweet. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend, especially if you need a fast quality option. They do make all the items fresh and do occasionally sell of their more popular selections (bacon, egg and cheese; maple pecan).

I'd driven by the place a few times. I decided to give it a try today. Super delicious! I had the smoked chicken and cheese Kolache and a smoked sausage and cheese Kolache. Fresh! Delicious, and pretty inexpensive. $6 & change for lunch works for me! Next time I'll try the dessert options! Which looked nom...nom...nom... Friendly staff, super clean place.

The perfect snack and the perfect food to keep in your fridge for fast and effective cravings. Every flavor is great in their own way .. I really don't have a favorite because they're all good.

I recently had the most delightful experience at a bakery reminiscent of a charming Czechoslovakian café. Their offerings are a delightful mix of sweet and savory pastries, and I opted for a savory option that completely exceeded my expectations. It was described as a southwestern-style pastry, and the description did not disappoint. The combination of jalapeño, potato, cheese, and ham created a surprisingly complex and flavorful profile. I was initially concerned that it might be dry, but the pastry was incredibly moist and rich. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the subtle heat of the jalapeño complementing the savory ham and creamy cheese. The potato provided a grounding element that made the entire pastry cohesive and truly memorable. Beyond the exceptional food, the bakery itself is quite charming. It's a very clean and inviting space, creating a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy your baked goods. I highly recommend visiting this unique establishment if you are ever in the area. I'm already planning my next visit!. if you're looking for a quick bite to eat, this is the place can't get any faster than this

I grew up on Kolaches and was pleased to see this place online in Arizona where my son just moved to. Really friendly and efficient service. Reminds me of home!! I'll have to try the cinnamon rolls next time, MASSIVE!

Saw them online and was curious. Looked yummy. So I had to try it. I had so many questions. Awesome service and staff! Everything we got was delicious! They have so many varieties. I wanted to try them all! I got a mix of sweet & savory. And what a cute shop! They have a little corner with flowers and sign as you walk in. I just had to take a pic since I was visiting.

My review went up on 5/21 and by the very next day, 5/22, a regional manager named Jayson responded publicly as the business owner, and left his email. I emailed him that same day, and after I followed up on 5/27 he wrote back, copied the store manager, and asked me to send my phone number and a good time so we could talk it through directly. I did exactly that, same day. That was 5/27. It is now 6/9 and I have not heard a word back. No email, no call, no text. The original incident was 5/10, so we are at 30 days now. This wasn't a stray hair - that's relatively benign and sometimes happens in food prep, not great but harmless. This was a different category of foreign body in food: fragments that looked like they came off equipment, which means whatever produced them is presumably still in use, still capable of doing it again to the next person. This is what made the unresponsiveness frustrating. It's not about my daughter's one açaí bowl, it's about whether the thing that caused it ever got looked at. A simple "we looked at it, can't determine yet what happened, but we'll update you" would have been fine, but I got boilerplate "you deserve better" corporate slop. I didn't want my ego stroked, I wanted them to look into something serious. They are great at moving fast in public: their Yelp! reply was up within a day, right under my review, where everyone can see it. But the private follow-up, the part nobody else is watching, has now gone three weeks radio silent, after they were the ones who asked for my number, but never used it. Fast when it's visible, and crickets when it's not, tells you where the attention really goes. If you're reading this and trying to decide, take a little time with the reviews here, the detailed ones and the thin ones, the recent and the older, and decide for yourselves if there is a pattern or not. I'm done with them, they lost my trust. For the record, their açaí bowls when they don't contain bits of industrial machinery are pretty good, but we'll go to Swami's when we are in Oceanside and will try to find something else in the valley.
