Mini blueberry pancakes (sorry, forgot photo initially)
    Heather G.

I had a very pleasant experience here. Arrived on a Saturday around 11am You could tell it was the end of the breakfast rush, we were sat right away. Heard the server said 0930 is their busiest. Tables a bit small so I could see someone with a taller bigger frame may not like that. The house coffee was good black, well bodied. We weren't offered top offs so idk if that would have been extra. My bf got their strawberry filled French toast that he really enjoyed. We both don't like overly sweet things and it was just at the right spot. I got the mini blueberry pancakes, and I really enjoyed them! Full of flavor, dense and airy all at the same time, and they are huge, def can split that. We got a side of eggs and bacon- basic. Extra charge for the whip cream, only 99c but it would have been nice to know when being offered. Our server was nice and friendly. My only critiques would be I wish they blasted the AC a bit more, coming in from the heat, I want to be able cool down before enjoying my hot breakfast. Lol One cup had a lipstick stain, even tho I'm sure it was clean an extra wipe down would have been nice. The bucket of creamers had an empty old one in there lol so just a bit more attention to a small detail like that. Other than that, we were pleasantly surprised with our visit and both would come back. From previous reviews I think just be aware that way you can fully enjoy your visit. Don't bring in outside things, plan for a large party, and avoid the rush if you can.

Strangely upon arrival before sunrise, the store did not look open, then actually had this conversation with the Janelle & Barta, who are so friendly & represent the store very well. When you arrive while it's still dark out, look for the "open" sign, they're open! That's a great thing because it's . Service is 5 star , pleasant, attentive & helpful. Sitting at the counter allowed me the joy of hearing the Chef (John's) music, his Playlist is excellent & I really appreciated it, almost as much as the delicious breakfast he makes. I had the Pork Chilli Verde with scrambled eggs & potatoes! This is my go to dish at the Henhouse, everytime regardless of the location, this dish is excellent. Get to any of the locations, but come see Janelle, Barta & John down here because they know how to represent a top notch store!

    BLTA and soup

Cute place for breakfast and lunch. Met my ex-coworker here for lunch. For food we ordered - mix of food. My friend ordered the cinnamon bun plus eggs/bacon. I ordered the BLTA as the cheese for the grilled cheese was limited (no Swiss for me). The BLTA was delicious. The tomato bisque was underwhelming and cold. The cinnamon roll was good but full of air. The coffee was hot and good. We enjoyed our lunch and would return. Service was friendly and quick.

Big portion size for breakfast. Server was good and our meal came out quick. Chicken fried chicken was okay, typical breakfast meal but the gravy was missing something- it was almost too bland IMO. Biscuit was good- highly recommend that, nice and fluffy w a nice outer crisp.

Henhouse Cafe has been on my radar for over a year, and I finally had the chance to visit in August. My husband and I arrived shortly after 1 PM on a Saturday and were greeted and seated right away. The cafe wasn't busy at that time. The atmosphere was relaxed. We ordered the following: Cinnamon roll Veggie skillet Irish Benedict Cold brew Though the cinnamon roll was big and looked tempting, it turned out to be a bit dry. My veggie skillet was delicious and filling. I appreciated the generous amount of veggies. My husband ordered the Irish benedict and enjoyed it as well. The cold brew was quite good. Pleasant experience overall!

Enjoyed breakfast at the henhouse. I had the corned beef hash and my husband had the machaca beef skillet along with orange juice and coffee. The orange juice was fantastic and tasted freshly squeezed, the coffee was just ok. Our server was super sweet and allowed me to switch the bread to a small pancake for a small upcharge. The pancake was HUGE and delicious. It had a cinnamon flavor that reminded me of snicker doodle...so yummy! Lots of ample seating throughout the restaurant. A good choice for anyone that loves breakfast.

Excellent service, it was ready in 10 minutes. Biscuits and gravy, seasoned potatoes, homemade sausage, and scrambled eggs. Everything was fantastic, I couldn't finish it.

    HH Breakfast Sandwich

This place was very busy, but was not crazy or too loud to be able to hold a conversation. The food came out very hot, and after not too long of a wait either. The breakfast sandwich was piled high with chicken, bacon, eggs, and a great, thick biscuit. The potato wedges were fantastic, especially with the gravy.

Countless reservations under my name and other friends and bar visits for happy hour. Today was my wife's 38th birthday and we came to Buck and rider to enjoy it with our three boys. For the first time in our couple years coming they id'd my wife for her drink she ordered. She didn't bring her ID. She didn't care that it was her bday or that we had a picture of her ID she was cold, dismissive and short. Nothing you expect of a place that should welcome us with open arms, remember us and make our experiences there memorable. It's a judgement call for them. Deny our best customers who dine here twice a month or more, who have three boys and take her ID picture or lose a good customer. Common sense and standard judgement have been completely lost
