My work brought in kolaches from here, and they were amazing. There Togo packing is really sturdy so they traveled well. This review is intended for the West Jordan location. They have multiple locations to choose from, maybe choose wisely? It was just OK. The dough / bread they use is the main staple to all their pastries and savories. I tried the Ranchero, Mexican omelette, eggs, and cheese. Nothing had any flavor. I wish they were hot, but I took the last egg and cheese from the display and they said it took about 30 to 40 minutes for the next batch to come out. In my head, I think you know you have one left in the display. The next set should've been out ready to be put up. But to each their own. I was really disappointed with the flavors how much they lack. I tried the side " salsas"... one taste like a sweetened with chili flakes tamarind glaze, which belonged on a rim for a margarita... the green salsa was OK but also lacked flavor. Overall, I think the place is very hyped, but being in Utah I feel like this is the common concept of food. Most food in Utah is bland or over rated. I also wish they served some breakfast and lunch items that were not just pork mixed. Vegetarian option was nice to choose from. However, I still wanted a protein since I am not a vegetarian, but I do not eat pork. I wish businesses would be a little bit more mindful when creating menus. Sweetened dough packed with different fillings: from eggs and cheese, bacon and sausage, chorizo, sausage gravy, Mexican omelette, Texas bbq. They also have sweat kolaches - cinnamon, strawberry and cream, peaches n cream and the list goes on. Perfect for breakfast. The staff is ALWAYS super nice. My wife and I were passing by this shop with our grandchildren and we decided to pop in for a snack. This is a hole-in-the-wall shop, no ambiance, with room for a large display case, the register, and space for a half a dozen customers waiting to order. The display case houses all the kolaches available at that time, but more are added continuously. Believe me when I say, ignore the ambience, you come here for the kolaches. This was our first time so I decided to order two sweet (peach and strawberry) and two savory (the Texan, and a sausage, egg and cheese). The kolaches are large, so two are more than enough for a big eater. The dough is very soft yet sturdy enough to hold the ample filling. The sweet kolache have a sweet cream cheese filling and a dab of fruit. The sausage, egg and cheese kolache was packed full and hot. The Texan had a hot link, cheese and jalapeños in it. While I am not a fan of jalapeños this was delicious. None of the greasiness normally associated with fast food, just delectable spheres of goodness. Even at the back of the line you will soon have your order taken and the same person will pack your selections and take payment. This is a great place to stop off for a quick breakfast, lunch or afternoon snack. Service was very quick and friendly. They open early and close early so if you want to guarantee the largest selection of kolaches available, you have to get there early. We stop here often in the morning because it's on our way home from the gym and is a perfect post-workout reward. I've been trying every flavor slowly and am never disappointed, you can't go wrong. The food adventures continue-today it was my first introduction to kolaches. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to, but when my bestie suggested we grab a few for breakfast, I went along happily. The first thing I noticed when I entered the door was the smell. Everything is beautifully displayed in the case-when they sell out, that item is gone for the day. I hear people arrive early to ensure they get what they want. I selected the sausage and gravy kolache-partly because I dislike cheese (I know) and it was one of the few cheese-free items, and partly because I learned that it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. So it has to be good, right?! I asked my friend how to eat them, as I cautiously gathered utensils to cut into this mystery roll-looking thing. She chuckled and picked it up with both hands and took a hearty bite. "Just dig in!" she said, and so I did. No utensils needed. Eat it like a roll. It's stuffed, but not so much that it makes a mess. Which I deeply appreciated. (I'm a tidy eater.) Service was absolutely wonderful-I appreciated the staff member that assisted us-he happily answered our questions and then carefully packed up our treats-clearly labeling the bags and which item was which (since it's hard to tell until you bite into them what is what). I expected 2 bite buns, but these were large -- maybe 6- 8 bites. My hubby said the sweet were his favorite -- soft n buttery. I really liked the sausage n egg. I thought prices were very reasonable. Finally got to try this location, they normally close before noon when they run out of food. Odd that when I was there at 11:50am there was a line, surprised they don't stay open later and make more food ahead of time? Unless that is their thing and try to be more of a breakfast early lunch deal. My final complaint was they put the hot sauces in my sweet bag not the savory. Great home made bread surrounding a mound of savory filling. The bread is perfect, the filling moist. Perfect marriage of the two and more filling than expected. I could only eat one. The sweet ones are delicious. The mixed berry and cinnamon were both incredible. You don't think that the sweet filling in the middle is enough but it is just right. Staff were incredible as well. I really should keep this new location a secret, because I don't want everyone to buy them out, on a daily basis, before I can get there. They are finally in West Jordan! It was our first time so we tried a variety. Mexican omelet was delicious, biscuits and gravy was good. They aren't served hot, which was a surprise, so the biscuits and gravy could've been much better if it was hot. The burnt end infused hotdog was interesting/good and very hot from jalapeños. My husband liked the ham, egg and cheese. We also tried a cream cheese pastry. While the cream cheese was delicious, I think I would've liked the bread to be a little bit sweet. I decided to try this place out since I was in town. I had no idea what kolaches are, but upon entering the store, I could see that they're like sandwiches bunch in an enclosed bun! I tried almost one of each and honestly, it was good! My favorite was vegetarian ranchero. The person helping me was super nice. There was plenty of parking in front but the store is a bit small. So if you come during crowded hours, I can see a line forming outside. They're only open in the mornings so catch them when you're in town! I 100% would get their kolaches again.
