When I visited the Dutch farmers market, I saw that the Kountry Grill was still open and seating patrons. So I decided to sit down and grab a bite to eat. I ordered two drinks and three meals and the total was $35. The food was absolutely delicious and the pancake that I ordered which was chocolate chip was very light and fluffy. I'm not sure what they put in their batter, but it was one of the best pancakes that I've ever had. It wasn't too thick. It wasn't too doughy it was literally perfect. My son ordered chicken nuggets and french fries and he enjoyed them. His fries were really good as well. And my eldest grab the pancakes which were strawberry topped with whipped cream, and he made his pancake a meal combo, which came with eggs and a choice of meat. We all loved what we ordered, and we even had enough left over to take home. It was a pretty decent size portion of food. Definitely returning to try some of their cold sandwiches because I love cold cuts and tuna sandwiches. However, I was focused on breakfast this trip.

Pumpkin pancakes, homemade scrapple and farm fresh eggs

Pleasant atmosphere, delicious and affordable food, and it's located right inside the Dutch Market Village. Can't beat it.

Egg white omelette that was so good that I almost forgot to take a picture

The Kountry Grille where it is actually worth the wait. It is located in upper Marlboro in the Amish Market and it is inexpensive and delicious. My gf and I have made this our every weekend spot and we love it. I personally love their omelette (egg white) because I gots to watch that cholesterol with the veggies and Turkey bacon and Turkey sausage. Their pancakes are also amazing even though I'm not a pancake person. Their pancakes are just the right amount of light and fluffy. The service is great and the staff is really friendly. It may take a while to get your food though but they are literally making everything from scratch and not just from a jar or premade stuff. It's not noisy or particularly quite either but the place is busy because it is in the Amish market where you have people purchasing items, groceries, etc. If you are in upper Marlboro and what a good breakfast that is inexpensive, this is the place to go. I highly recommend it along with the French vanilla cappuccino.

We finished our cheer competition early and found this gem. Located in the Dutch Market, the food is outstanding and the market is full of fresh cut meats, sweets as well as furniture and candles. I recommend the Haystack for breakfast- potatoes, home fries, sausage gravy, eggs, onions, peppers and cheese. The service was excellent and the portions were great. Best value around.

The Kountry Grille is the restaurant located inside the Dutch Village Market. When you enter, it's on the eastern section. Their menu is pretty extensive, as they offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert options (such as omelettes, waffles, pancakes, meatloaf, pot roast, melts, a modest salad bar option, pies, etc.). What they are really known for is their '99c AYCE pancakes' from 8 - 9AM - YES, only 99c for stuffing your face to the maximus on buttermilk pancakes! My husband and I each did the AYCE pancake special (comes as 2, and there's a bottle of maple syrup and packaged butter at the table), chipped beef, sausage gravy, a side of pork sausages/bacon/scrambled eggs/homefries with cheese, and their homemade toast and biscuit. The pancake was nice and fluffy, and a good size. The chipped beef was pretty good, and I was a fan of the sausage gravy, as it wasn't salty but had a nice peppery kick with good chunks of crumbled sausages within. The homefries had some crispy edges, and the cheese sauce was a little forgettable (as it wasn't as salty and thick as I would have liked; it's more of a nacho cheese consistency). They open 1 hour before the main Market does, so keep that in mind (even during the special holiday hours!). Our server was Ruth, and she was so incredibly sweet, and really checked upon us to see that everything swell and took really good care of us :D Their soup of the day (2, actually, which was 'cheesy potato' and 'turkey chili,' were not available until after 10am, so I was a little disappointed) - I would love to come back and try out their soup, the melts, as well as their homemade pot roast & meatloaf! +located on the eastern part of the Market +99c AYCE buttermilk pancakes between 8-9AM +ask for Ruth :D

All this plus 2 coffees = $25 plus tip. DELICIOUS. Beware: long lines on Saturday mornings. Next time I plan to arrive at 8am, not 10am!

I can't believe I've never been to the Dutch Market before! open Thurs, Fri, Sat. This restaurant is inside the market. The Amish waitresses are incredibly sweet and attentive. Be prepared to stand in a line if you arrive somewhat late on a Saturday morning. (they open at 8am, but when I was there the line really got long around 9:30/10am.) The food was very yummy. The Farmer's Cheese Omelette should be called the Meatlover omelette as it is stuffed with bacon, sausage, and scrapple. Delicious! I can't wait to return

French toast is Soooo good. Didnt get a pic of my food but everything was great

Came Here For A Dinner & Overall It Was A Really Nice Experience From The Moment We Pulled Up…read more There's Plenty Of Parking Available Which Is Always A Plus. No Stress Trying To Find A Spot. As Soon As You Walk In, You Notice The Sleek Setup. There's A Nice Bar Area & The Inside Layout Flows Really Well. The Black Decor Throughout Gives It A Modern, Grown, Slightly Upscale Feel Without Feeling Too Fancy. Definitely Date Night, Birthday Dinner, Or Girls Night Approved. Reasonable Prices For The Area & Portion Sizes. It Felt Worth It For The Overall Experience. To Start Off, I Got A Hot Green Tea With Lemon & Honey, Fresh, Hot, & Soothing. SALMON EGG ROLLS Stuffed With Rice, Salmon, & Cream Cheese, Then Topped With Cucumber And A Sauce Drizzle. Crispy On The Outside, Creamy & Savory On The Inside. A Really Good Starter & Nice Portion, Very Different & Giving Sushi Inspired. BLACKENED SALMON Nicely Seasoned With A Good Crust And Moist Inside. PARMESAN BRUSSELS SPROUTS. Roasted With A Light Crisp & Good Flavor. MAC N CHEESE Creamy & Comforting, Solid Side That Paired Well With The Salmon. Everything Was Decent, Well-Portioned, & Came Out In A Timely Manner. NY CHEESECAKE I Had The Cheesecake With Strawberry Glaze Drizzle And It Was So Delicious... Smooth, Creamy, & Sweet. I Was Told It Usually Comes With Blueberry Sauce, But They Had Run Out. I'm Definitely Coming Back To Try It The Original Way Because I Know That Blueberry Sauce Is Going To Elevate It Even More. Customer Service Was Amazing & Very Welcoming. Our Waitress Lauren Was A Whole Vibe!!! Friendly, Attentive, & Made The Experience Even Better. She Checked On Us Without Hovering & Made Sure Everything Was Right. Dinner For 2 Including Tip Came To $98, Which Felt Fair For Appetizer, Entrées, Dessert, & Great Service. I Also Gotta Come Back To Check Out Their Happy Hour & Taco Tuesday Menu Items. Something Tells Me That's Where The Real Deals & Fun Vibes Are. Krab King Is A Solid Dinner Spot With A Nice Atmosphere, Good Food, & Top-Tier Service. Definitely Worth A Visit & I'll Be Back To Explore More Of The Menu.

This review will be short but sweet!…read more I recently used Krab King as an example that another similar restaurant should take notes from and then I realized, I've never given Krab King it's official kudos..so here it goes! Once you enter, there's a small bar and lounge area that bleeds nicely into a small dining area. It has a contemporary style but nothing over the top. The food is amazing. We've had the crab cakes, crab egg rolls, lamb chops, seafood fried rice and the seafood salmon and each meal had us wanting more... Delicious! Service can be a little slow, so I would recommend having at least one more server, especially Thursday - Sunday! If you want top notch food in the Upper Marlboro area, this is the spot but just like Jerry's Seafood, don't expect Applebee's prices.. You pay for what you get!!

I would rate this a 0 if I could live here, and I will never return…read more I had a disappointing and upsetting experience with the bartender, Issac, who ignored me and refused to serve me a drink. After I raised my concerns with the manager--who was another Black woman and tried to address the issue--Issac falsely claimed that I had cursed at him, which was untrue. As a Black woman, I felt that Issac was empowered to shut me down and dismiss my presence, perpetuating a pattern where Black women are not supported or acknowledged. Despite the manager's efforts, the lack of accountability and the discriminatory treatment I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I will not be returning to this establishment. I plan on taking legal action.

Events and this place don't go together…read more Having never been here and wanting to try, we saw the hours and knew if we came to an event, we'd be able to grab dinner before. For a foodie this is perfect! Oooh were we wrong. Plans failed! This restaurant is part of Oak Creek golf course in a residential area, super convenient if you're a resident! Now, for guest, parking is ample if there is no event going on. The venue is pretty and well kept. Restrooms very tidy. The staff are so sweet but the logic behind management is off. You'd think if an event was happening you'd plan for folks to come early to eat dinner. A perfect opportunity that was missed by the choice to close early only to reopen. Odd. Having an event here was pretty unorganized. They had a coffee table that I don't believe was part of the venue possibly a vendor. Most definitely would come try to dine in if I was back in the area. Let's get into it! Firecracker Shrimp - OMG good! Wings - Delicious Nachos - Delicious Coffee - Just okay.

The steak was tender, the eggs were cooked just right, and the chimichurri brought a fresh, herby brightness that balanced the richness of the dish. The feta added a nice salty finish that pulled everything together. If I had one small note, the potatoes could have been cooked a little more for a crisper texture, but it didn't take away from the flavor of the dish at all. The overall taste was still very strong, and the components worked really well together. The pancake was another highlight. Huge, fluffy, and beautifully browned, with chocolate chips throughout and just enough sweetness to make it feel indulgent without going overboard. Simple, classic, and very well done. Service made the experience even better. Bria was personable, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the meal. She kept everything moving smoothly and added to the welcoming feel of the visit. Overall, a very solid brunch experience with flavorful food, strong portions, and great service. I'd absolutely come back, and I'd order the Chimichurri Steak and Eggs Hash again.

A great Father's Day spot for brunch!…read more Ordered the strawberry avocado toast, which was unexpectedly delicious and refreshing! My husband had the smoked salmon avocado toast and it was so filling he couldn't finish it! We got the kid's meal for our child, which I'm assuming he enjoyed very much as well? He was speechless for sure the fresh-made poptart was pretty good! Many thanks to Huey for taking care of us! Our seating was upstairs with other families also there for Father's Day, but seating was much quicker than I thought :) It was a little pricey for two adults and a toddler, but it was worth the visit go check it out!

They are definitely lighter on the sauce, so if that's your preference these are perfect. Personally, I like my wings a little saucier, so I would probably ask for extra sauce next time. The chicken itself was fried perfectly and the portion size was pretty solid. For my main, I got the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo sauce and it was amazing. The lettuce, guac, and pico all tasted fresh and paired really nicely with the breaded chicken in the wrap. My only complaint with it is they go pretty light on the guac and pico, so I wish there was a bit more of both. The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. It was pretty rough. Other than that, definitely a place I'd come back to.
