This review is only for their GARLIC FRIES since that is all I ordered. These are delicious fried pieces of joy slathered in parmesan, garlic, and parsley. This was my first time having poutine. I have wanted to try it for years but I wanted to try traditional poutine. It was amazing! I tried the classic and the chicken pot fries, I also had the fried cheese curds they were heaven. I am going to Disneyland in October and now I don't have to think about what I will eat. I wanted so badly for this place to be amazing but it fell short. I was excited to see that they offer a porchetta sandwich, one of my favorites after having it at Roli Roti; a San Francisco based restaurant. The sandwich fell short. For starters, the sandwich was overpowered by the spread of thyme. You cannot taste the actual pork because the spread was TOO overpowering. In fact, it was all I remember eating-- bread and spread. The sandwich also fell short because they skimped on meat. I was looking forward to eating juicy, crispy pork that had been cooking for hours but I was disappointed to see that there was barely any pork in it. I went soon after they opened - and I hope by now that they're serving their full menu...When I went, they had taped up an "X" covering their menu board indicating that they were not serving their full menu, BUT did not include any mention of what was available on their menu...Luckily it wasn't that busy, so I could go to the register to ask. I ordered the short rib sandwich per the suggestion of the person taking orders. It was really flavorful, and I really liked how it was flavored, but a bit on the greasy side - like it was literally falling apart from all the runny greasy (pork fat?). I get that this is a short rib sandwich and grease is expected, but it sort of got in the way of my eating experience... Also, I wish it had a bit more of the veggies - particularly the arugula to compliment the fatty meat. In my opinion, the quality of the Kroft has gone way downhill. I had the classic poutine fries and the fries were not crispy and tasted rather stale. The gravy tastes like it was made from powder. I've read many of the reviews and I don't have much to say that hasn't already been covered. I knew coming into the Anaheim Packing District that this was the place I wanted to go. I'm so glad I stuck with that feeling because it was wonderful. My wife wanted to walk around and see what was available prior to making her decision. When we walked to The Kroft and I saw the porchetta being cut, that solidified my decision to eat there. We walked around for a couple more minutes and my wife was convinced, The Kroft was the best choice. We started out with the Brussels and Bacon which was a great choice. The Brussels had a nice balsamic glaze on it and the bacon was good, I would have preferred just a bit more bacon though. With such a bold flavor like balsamic vinegar anything else can hide in the background and if the name is Brussels and Bacon, the bacon should shine also. The poutine was incredible. We shared the short rib poutine, it can easily be shared or a meal for one. It didn't need it, but we got the garlic aioli on the side which was a nice addition to the fries. Porchetta sandwich was on point. The salsa Verde was so good and it really helped the other flavors come through. Definitely a good size sandwich and well worth the price. In fact everything was really well priced. We may have over done it and ordered too much but it was all so good. Can't wait to go back. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. This review is for the Short Rib Poutine. Came out piping hot and fresh, the fries were super crispy and as it soaked in the gravy, it became super savory and rich with flavor. I was worried that the gravy would be too salty and overwhelm everything else, but it wasn't salty at all. The short ribs were tender and the mushrooms were a great addition. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pickled onions right on top. Helped cut through the richness of the dish, and added a burst of flavor. The only thing I wish they added more of was probably the cheese curds. Loved each bite but would be nice to see more of the wonderful melting cheese. read more

So we tried again, and I really wish that it wasn't a completely regrettable experience, but it certainly was. This time, they only sent us half of our order, so I'm feeling pretty hungry, watching my husband eat his dinner. We ordered my half of the meal again, and this time we were contacted by the charming shift manager. She called us to let us know that they had run out of my meal, which is why they cancelled it the first time. You see, this wasn't an error, it was a conscious choice to not send half of an order without letting the customer know. Strangely, they were able to contact us the second time, to tell us to stop ordering it, but they evidently decided that wasn't necessary the first time. The manager was surly when we questioned why we weren't contacted, and outright rude when I became frustrated that I had repeated my replacement order three times. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. My boyfriend and I finally found the time to go. We walk up and there was a young man at the register. He did not say hello nor did he have a smile. We think he was new because there was another person working and he kept turning around to her to ask questions. The women that was there was rude to say the least. I lost count on how many times she rolled her eyes anytime a customer or her fellow employees asked for something . When it came to the food it got even worse . We ordered 2 cuban sandwiches , cheese curds, and chili Mac and cheese. The cheese curds were cold and burnt, the Mac and cheese was so watery that it looked like they added water to the cup to warm it up or something. The meat of the chili that was on top of the Mac and cheese was so gross we spit it out. The sand which is the only thing I will give credit to. The bread went well with the sandwich and it had good flavor. The only thing I was say is it was a little to greasy. It just wasn't enough for us to want to go back ever. read more

The Kroft is a great place to try something truly unique. They have basic, well known food and also somethings that I have never tried and have never heard of. I have only gone once to The Kroft but I would go again. I had the Hamburger Poutine and it was fantastic. This was my first poutine so I have nothing to base it off of. They had many other types of poutines that would be good for vegans and for meat lovers. If you are picky with what is in your food then you can take certain things off of your meal. They also have sandwiches and soups. The only bad thing I would say is the it was sort of bland but I didn't want anything extra on my fries. I believe I just had the hamburger and cheese and I believe BBQ. They have a section for condiments in case you would like to add salsa to your poutine or sandwich and also other condiments. The fries with the hamburger and cheese was excellent. They give you a lot of fries in this cardboard box and a big hamburger that will help with eating the fries and hamburger in one bite. I would recommend The Kroft at the Anaheim Packing House because it has quality and unique food. read more

I was staying in the Anaheim Disneyland area and wanted to eat somewhere that's not a chain or at downtown Disney. The Kroft showed up on my yelp feed so we decided to check it out. I loved the fact that this is in the Anaheim Packing District which is basically an upscale food court with bars and various food vendors. While not a big fan of poutine, I decided to get the porchetta sandwich. The sandwich was a decent size (good size if you're also getting fries), and the pork was soft with a tangy chimichurri salsa. While the sandwich was good, I was hoping for more crispy bits in the sandwich to add more texture. Overall a good sandwich and could be one of the better places to eat in this complex, but not sure if I'd return and get the same sandwich. Next time, if I'm in the area, will seek to try one of the other sandwiches. read more

Great food and plenty of it for the price. We had the short rib poutine with garlic truffle fries. Couldn't really taste the truffle, but dang they were still good with all the gravy and meat that was in it. The Porchetta sandwich was juicy and crispy. The pork is slow rotisserie cooked with an infrared slow cooker. Good stuff in my book! There are not really any servers due to the small space, but service at the counter was exceptional with very enthused employees always with a smile ready to recommend popular dishes they serve. read more

I'm from the bay area and love food so when I travel, I plan my trips around food. The Anthem Packing District was on my list for this trip. With the recommendation of my son, who lives in Anaheim, he suggested The Kroft. My husband and I walked around a bit to look at menu at other eateries and notice the long line at The Kroft. The line moved fairly quickly that by the time we had to order, I was still not sure what I wanted cuz I wanted to try everything. We ordered short rib poutine, rib eye sandwich dip, fried cheese curds and two cucumber mint lemonades for about $30, reasonable. We were given a pager and waited for about 10 mins for our food which gave me time to look for a table inside and outside. The Kroft is small and all the tables were occupied, actually all tables inside the communal dining are were also occupied so we ate at the picnic area outside under a shady tree. After taking compulsory pics of our food for social media, we got to eat, let me tell you, I was in heaven for about 5 mins. So freaking good! So filling...I brought the rest of my food home to heat and eat later. I must come back to try it all. read more

This little restaurant is inside the Anaheim Packing House. Came to the APH on a Saturday and there were people everywhere coming from all directions. The place has the right idea but I think it's a bit organized. There are things everywhere, and they get in your way, so you don't really know where to stand. There isn't that much space to move around when there are so many people and most of the restaurants have limited seating. Aside from that, It is a fun environment though. There is live music and it's definitely a place for people watching. Here you see everyone take pictures of their food before they eat. We decided to eat at the Kroft because the menu looked the best plus they had a lot of customers waiting. We were lucky to get a table too. It's a bit steep for a sandwich but I gotta say the Porchetta tasted really good! I was impressed and a bit surprised. I would want to come back and try the steak sandwich next time. read more

I really like this place. Their porchetta is very good. The last time I had porchetta was in Italy and their rendition is very close. It is a traditional roasted pork roll from the Lazio region of Italy (Rome). Wish they gave more. I destroyed the sandwich in like 2 seconds. read more
