French onion smash burger (cut in half by my request).
    Pamela D.

Behold the glory that is The Kroft 's French onion smash burger!. It has caramelized onions, melted cheese, juicy burger and au jus. I'm loving the crispy cheese skirt. The garlic aioli... *chef's kiss*. Love me some poutine. I got the classic poutine with gravy and cheese curds.. yum. So rich on flavor. Fries stay crispy despite the gravy goodness. Staff is top notch too for service! Follow up: the fried cheese curds are divine too. The curds are thoroughly warmed and slightly melty. Nice crisp. Comes with a dipping sauce.

my favorite spot at the packing house!! they offer fries, burgers, sandwiches, and lots of different sides--every single item is delicious. my personal favorites are the braised beef melt and country fried chicken fries! i recently got to try the spicy jack smash burger and WOW!! the flavor is insane! the kroft is located at the bottom level of the packing house, so it can get a little crowded when there's a line. however, service is quick and easy so the line moves fast! all the times i have gone, the people taking my order have been super nice and helpful. whenever i bring friends to the packing house, i always recommend this place!

We ordered the loco moco poutine (loaded fries). Taste great and I would recommend it.

My brother and I decided to go here after wandering around and I can say that this place is good! I had the wagyu smash burger and it's pretty decent! The burger itself is a bit dry but the cheese and sauce balance it out. The cheese does get a bit overwhelming at times but other than that it's pretty good! The size of the burger too is big in my opinion (I don't usually eat very much) but the burger is definitely good to split between 2 people! The parking area is kind of ok but hard to find parking even on a Friday around noon. Overall: would go here if the wait isn't too long!

I came here with my parents on a Saturday around 12:30pm. It was kind of loud, so I had a hard time hearing. Thankfully, they take your name and number, then text you when your order is ready. My dad got the BBQ Ranch Smash Fries. My mom got the Grilled Cheese. I got the Beef Melt. Fortunately for my dad, we agreed that the fries were the best. Unfortunately for my dad, we insisted on sharing. One word of advice... check out the "Texas" donut at the nearby Randy's Donuts! It's hilariously big!

Was craving for fried chicken sandwich so was in the area and heard good things about this place is checked it out. Located on the lower level at the Anaheim Packing District Place. Parking can be tough but they do have valid parking and street parking. Menu is great with varies choices. Got the spicy chicken sandwich. Staff were nice and the place is small but clean and well decor. They have small seating area right in-front of the counter. The food is good, tasting and well season but not hot at all but then again I love heat so this is just nothing. The owner was taking pics for new dish, pastrami pickles fries and he offered to me after he done. Quite tasting and the pastrami is not bad, if you like sour then this would be a great one to order but for me abit sour so after 4-5 pieces of fries with the sauce I had to gave up but I did finished the pastrami pieces. Overall, not bad at all and glad I tried it, will come back to try other items they have.

The Kroft, located at The Packing District, was one of the most exciting restaurants to be at, especially during the holidays, as it was just festive and fun filled during the holidays! This restaurant fit perfectly into the ambiance of The Packing District, which features a modern, cozy atmosphere and offers many different menu options. I ordered the smash burger which did not let me down. The smash burger that I ordered was extremely juicy, flavorful, and was cooked to perfection. The smash burger that I ordered also included a nice caramelized crust, which provides a smash burger additional flavor. I paired my smash burger with their gravy smothered fries, topped with fried chicken. Their gravy smothered fries were excellent because they were very crispy prior to being smothered in gravy, and the fried chicken on top of the gravy provided an additional crunchy texture and seasonings to each bite of the fries and to the gravy. The combination of the gravy smothered fries and fried chicken made for a rich and deliciously flavored dish that could have easily been its own holiday treat. Inside the Kroft there was very little seating. However, despite the large crowds and long wait lines during the holidays, the Kroft staff were friendly and helpful! Getting a table and having a chance to enjoy their food while experiencing the great vibe of the Packing District was relatively simple and enjoyable. My experience at the Kroft was both satisfying and fun and has already got me thinking about returning to the Kroft when I go to the Anaheim Packing District again, where I will definitely order another smash burger!

    Beef melt protein style
    Jordan A.

We ordered the beef melt protein style, cheesesteak sandwich, and plain fries. Everything was very fresh but lacked flavor. The beef melt can just beef, pickled onions, and arugula. The beef had no flavor and it also didn't come with the Monterey Jack cheese. The fries were good but could have used some salt. The cheesesteak sandwich was okay. Again the meat was not seasoned. The bread was good and at-least the cheese was on it. Definitely not worth 40$.

We wanted to grab lunch and walked around checking everything out and we ended up coming here and it was fantastic Customer Service was above and beyond We placed our order found a seat to sit they brought out our drinks and items presentation was awesome Food was incredible everything was nice and hot very fresh Garlic fries so perfect Smash burger was delicious Our sandwiches were so flavorful and filling Everything was perfect the area was great vibe and customer service again top notch they checked in on us from time to time! Spicy Jack Smash Burger
    Victoria M.

Our burgers were so delicious and filling. We both tried their new signature smash burgers ; the spicy jack smash burger and the French onion dip smash burger. They were both good but somehow tasted almost the same in terms of toppings. The only major difference of course is the sauce it includes (still good!). They weren't too greasy and didn't sit heavy on a full stomach. I wish they gave more complimentary sauces alongside their combos but it's 37cents extra per more sauce. With that being said, if you decide to get more sauce; the pineapple habanero sauce was phenomenal! I couldn't get enough of it. The seating is comfortable given how much space they're allotted to. The service was friendly, quick, and efficient. It's definitely worth the try

My son was arriving at LGB aka Long Beach Airport and so after picking him up we went to LBX Hangar to see what interests my taste buds when I walk around the food court. So I saw their rotisserie cooking up the pork belly Porchetta and so I went with the Porchetta sandwich. Some cheese curds with garlic Mayo and a French onion smash burger. The service was ok, at least there were no mistakes. The burger and sandwich were good. The Porchetta on ciabatta was a bit oily, but very tasty. I would actually try some of their other sandwiches. The smash burger was also very tasty but it was a bit salty, maybe from the Parmesan cheese crisp. Let's see what I go with next time.

    Loco Moco
    David B.

Etched in the packing district with dozens of food options to choose from, one of my favorite options to choose from for food that always satisfies whatever mood I'm in is The Kroft. Small seating area (to be expected it's the packing district), the menu is plentiful and the workers are helpful, especially with a lot of items I've never tried before. Got the loco moco and the classic fries, and my goodness I could eat 10 boxes of each. Fries are cooked well, nothing dry of any sorts and the additions to each stand out in their own respective ways. Didn't have to wait too long either, and every time I think about the packing district I think of the kroft. Try the poutine, it's great

The employee taking our order and serving the sandwich was genuinely pleasant, attentive, and accommodating, offering great recommendations that made choosing easy and the experience even smoother. The sourdough was exactly how it should be: fresh, crisp, lightly toasted and sturdy enough to hold everything together. Inside, Calabrian deviled egg salad met a perfectly jammy egg, spicy mayo and peppers for a creamy, tangy kick with just the right amount of heat. Messy? A little. Worth it? Absolutely. This was a lip-smacking, reach-for-another-bite kind of sandwich. We didn't have time to dive into the beer selection, but there were plenty of tempting options. With its business-district location, this would be an easy stop after work for a cold brew and a seriously good sandwich. Quick stop. Great service. Killer sandwich. The Devil Made Me do it.

I ordered on a Saturday and it took about 30 minutes for the food to be ready, so you might want to order ahead if you're already hungry . I asked for the vegetables on the side and both sandwiches cut in half. I got the #1 Classic Dac Biet Banh Mi and the #6 Crispy Pork Belly Banh Mi. #1 Classic Dac Biet This was VERY good. I think I actually like their dac biet better than Banh Mi My Tho, and that was my favorite banh mi place coming in! There was something about their pate that was so savory and umami. Whatever it was actually dripped everywhere, but it was delicious . I say pate "sauce" because I always thought pate was more of a paste that gets smeared onto the bread, and I don't think the liquid was coming from the vegetables. Either way, I haven't really had anything quite like it before, and it went really well with all the meats. The vegetables were fresh, and they were very generous with them too. The only thing I really wish was better was the bread. It was toasted, but it was so hard that it actually cut my gums. I had to tug at the sandwich just to get a bite off . Unfortunately, the bread was the same on both sandwiches. #6 Crispy Pork Belly I had pretty high expectations for this one. The pork belly looked juicy and wasn't completely dry, but for some reason, the more I chewed it, the drier it tasted. I also thought the flavor was pretty mild. I really wanted to like this one, but honestly, I'd probably rather eat the roasted pork belly by itself and dip it in some hoisin sauce. Between the two, #1 is definitely the one I'd come back for. I'd skip #6 next time and try another sandwich instead. The dac biet alone is enough to bring me back!

And she comes around from time to time to check on us to make sure we're enjoying our food. Really nice to receive this kind of attention from a fast-casual restaurant. The Santa Maria BBQ Salad looked good but I asked her if they could substitute the chicken with the Chimichurri steak and she said "sure!" And surprisingly they did not charge extra! I love restaurants that are flexible like this. My salad bowl was SO good and filling. Lots of good stuff in it: chopped salad mix, coleslaw mix, Applewood-smoked bacon, crumbled goat cheese, corn & black bean salsa, grape tomatoes.
